Episode 20
Kimberly’s pov continues
He came into the kitchen and found me looking scared.
He rushed and gathered me in his arms and hugged me tightly to himself as though protecting me from some unseen powers.
Of course that what’s he’s doing. Protecting me from Lisa.
“Kim what’s wrong” he asked in a panic.
“Nothing. I got scared when i heard your footsteps since I didn’t expect you coming home tonight, so I thought someone just broke into the house” I lied.
“I’m sorry. Should have called you. Where’s Bryan “he asked
“In the play room” I replied.
‘Oh’ he retorted. He didn’t look all that happy not after all that happened.
“I’ll ju..st make di..nner r…eady” I said swallowing a non existing saliva.
He acknowledged with a slight nod and left.

I finished dishing dinner and turned to leave since Bryan can always eat on his own and would not allow anyone to feed him.
“Kim eat with us” came from my boss.
“Uh?” I said
“Daddy is asking you to eat with us” came Bryan’s sharp voice.
I smiled at him and nodded in acknowledgment.
I pulled a chair in the farthest end and sat down not looking in the direction of my boss.
I felt so uneasy and nervous in his presence.
A woman’s instinct was telling me he’s watching me all this while.
“Don’t be ridiculous Kim. What’s the point of sitting so far away when we are just here” he said looking at me intently.
I got up and he whispered “sit close to me please”
I glanced at Bryan who was oblivious of the situation and smiled.
I sat close to him inhaling the familiar scent, that made me more relax.
We’re about to finish dinner when Bryan asked
“Dad when is mum coming back”?
We exchanged glances, when his Dad delayed a bit in replying, he turned to me and I gave him a nervous smile.
“Mum is fine my little man. Finish your food and let’s get you to bed okay?” His Dad finally replied and gulped down a glass of water.
“Okay Dad and I will play my video game.” Bryan said excitedly.
“No little man. You should sleep tonight, you’ll play it tomorrow I promise.” He said
“Yeah tomorrow” Bryan shouted swinging his tiny hands in the air.
You’d better keep to your word because I trust this boy. I said in my thought.
After dinner I cleared the dishes and took Bryan to his room.
After singing him his favourite song, I tucked him in bed, switched off the light allowing only the faintly tiny light and left the room.
I got to my room and had a long relaxing bath.
I wore a sling night wear, hugging my Teddy bear, I closed my eyes tightly listening to the movements downstairs.
I heard him moving all the house. What on earth is going on?
Then I heard him start the car and sped off.
What a man! Where the hell is he going to?
I ran to the window but couldn’t get to see his car.
May be he’s going to the prison to see Lisa. She’s his wife after all.
Ethan’s POV
I got rid of all the photos that had Lisa in it from the sitting room.
The only ones left was the one that had Bryan in them for future sake.
I went to my study, got all of them and went straight to a place in the garden and burned them.
I stood there and watched the fire crackling. I waited until it turned to ashes.
I looked heavenwards wishing I could see Fay
I entered and took my car keys and headed outside.
Few seconds I left in my car and drove straight to the cemetery.
I got to where Fay was buried with a rose flower in my hand and stood there amidst tears.
I knelt down and wept. “Fay you know I’ve always loved you right?” I started.
“You were the best wife ever, the few moments we shared will always remain evergreen in my heart”
“We were so fond of each other” I smiled with tears still dripping down cheeks.
“Today justice is done on the account of your death”
“Your enemy will go to the deepest part of hell soon”
“But Fay I’ve found someone else, the very person who helped us fish out Lisa”
“She’s adorably cute just like you. I love her so much and I want to marry her. You will approve of our marriage right?”
“I’ll always keep you in my heart but please allow me to be able to love someone else just as I loved you okay?”
I placed the rose flower, wiped my tears with a wet tissue and got up.
I looked at her tomb one more time before I left.
I’m going to ask Kim to marry me this time not just an uncertain relationship.
I think I now know what I want.
White Shadow’s pov
I was touched by Ethan’s move. He even came to tell me that justice has prevailed on my case.
I couldn’t help crying along with him.
I was so heart broken that we can’t be together anymore.
But when he mentioned his love for Kimberly, my face beamed with smiles.
I became excited that he has found someone that will replace me in his life.
When he left, I knew he was going to confess his feelings to her finally, so I trailed behind him smiling uncontrollably.
“Kimberly please say yes” I shouted.
