Episode 42
Romina was sited in front of the dressing mirror getting ready for work, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
“Good morning,” Nanny Gloria greeted opening the door. “Nanny,” Romina called and stood up.
“There is a doctor downstairs,” Nanny Gloria reported. “A doctor?” Romina asked.
“Yes, he said you knew he was coming,” she replied and Romina wondered who it could be then Zoey’s word rang in her head.
“Elias!” She squealed and rushed out Of the room, she was barefooted since she was still getting ready but it didn’t matter to her, all she could think about at that moment is Elias in her living room.
“Romina, be careful,” her nanny cautioned as she went after her but she could not run.
Romina stopped at the stairs when she saw Elias sitting on the couch, she beamed with a smile and he stood up when he sighted her too.
He didn’t want to smile but his stubborn heart won’t stop admiring her pretty face, she rushed down the stairs and jumped on him.
He unconsciously wrap his arms around her as if he was waiting for her to hug him, Nanny Gloria and Mr. Zaragoza gasped with their palms covering their mouth.
Mr. Zaragoza rushed out of his room due to how loud Romina was, he and nanny Gloria are standing on the stairs.
Nanny Gloria was surprised because Romina was not the type to keep friends and here she is hugging a guy.
“Sorry,” Romina apologized and let go of Elias who was quick in hiding the excitement on his face. “I am just happy that you agreed to take care of mom,” she lied, it was a partial lie she was happy that he agreed and that she got to see him.
“It’s fine,” he replied and his gaze went to her barefoot. “You are barefooted,” he said and she bit her lips as her face flushed in embarrassment.
“She was so excited to see you,” Nanny Gloria who was walking towards them said. “Nanny!” Romina groaned.
“You should head back to your room, I will take him to your mother,” Nanny Gloria said and Romina flashed a smile at Elias before turning to leave.
“You can just call me nanny Gloria, what’s your name?” Nanny Gloria asked as they head upstairs.
“Dr. Elias Del Vera, but I prefer Elias,” he replied, Mr. Zaragoza who was standing on the stairs smiled at Elias and nanny Gloria stopped, she hit her head and groaned.
“Is something wrong?” Elias asked. “I will be right back with you for me,” she said and walk down the stairs, Elias understood why she could not take him to the room but he pretend to be clueless.
“I’m Romina’s father,” he introduced himself and stretch his hand for a shake. “Dr. Del Vera,” he replied and was about to shake his hand when Romina held his hand.
“Stop introducing yourself as my father,” she said with a glare at Mr. Zaragoza, she turned to Elias with a smile and said. “He is an imposter,”
“Come,” she said and took him to her room. “Why are we here?” Elias inquired feeling uncomfortable, he didn’t want to do anything he would regret.
“Oh, we found out that, that man works for Neil,” She told him. “We are just being cautious,” she added.
“You should sit,” she gestured at the couch and he went to sit, Romina wanted to start a conversation with him but she had no idea of what to talk about.
“Why is he still here if you know he is an imposter?” Elias asked. “I’m still looking for a way,” she replied.
“How is Diana?” She asked. “Better, I’ll pick her up later today,” he replied.
“I’m happy she’s fine, ..er Elias, I’m sorry for everything I did. I was confused then and I just wanted to help,” she explained.
“I understand,” he replied unconsciously. “You do?” She gasped.
“Yes, I guess,” he replied. “I’m happy you understand!” She giggled.
“So, now that we are cool let’s be friends?” She asked and he smiled, his heart was just too stubborn that he keeps falling for her.
“Friends,” he replied. “Romina, you can come out now,” nanny Gloria said and Elias stood up.
They met Zoey in Mrs. Zaragoza’s room when they got there. “Good morning, Elias,” Zoey greeted and Nanny Gloria squeezed her face in confusion.
“Am I the only person that doesn’t know him?” Nanny Gloria asked. “You can leave nanny,” Romina said and pushed her out of the room.
Elias examined her and turn to Romina. “She is improving fast,” he said.
“Zoey said she could have surgery, I’m just curious when exactly is that?” She asked.
“Whenever you want,” he replied. “You could have it postponed if you want,” he added not you sound rude.
Romina turned to face her mom and sighed. “Let’s operate on her next week, she has been lying on that bed for a while,” she said.
“I’ll come every day then,” he said and Romina smiled, Zoey sat on the couch while they left the room together.
Nanny Romina was not there when they got downstairs so they just left. “Thanks for coming once again,” Romina appreciated as they stood beside Elias’s car.
“Aren’t you dressed for work?” He asked and she nodded positively. “You should head to the company now,” he added and she gave him an awkward smile.
“Bye… See you tomorrow,” she waved and walk towards her car. The ride to the office was boring, she was surprisingly sad with no idea why.
“Do I love him?” She asked no one as she parked her car in the company’s parking lot.
“Good morning,” Nina greeted with a smile that disappeared as soon as she saw Romina’s unfriendly expression.
“Did you fight with your brother before coming here?” She asked following her into the office.
“Did you skip your breakfast? Even if you did you shouldn’t wear such a frown,” she said. “I don’t know what to do Nina,” she blurted.
“What’s wrong?” Nina panicked and rushed to her side. “I am in love and I don’t think the guy feels the same,” she blurted.
“What?” Nina asked shockingly while Romina kept sobbing.

“Here,” a junior doctor said and gave Elias a cup of coffee, he is in the hospital he used to work.
Everyone was surprised when he walked in, they were happy too but the happiest person was the chief.
“Thanks,” Elias appreciated. “You look more handsome,” Cheif said and the junior doctors smile.
“You are kidding me, aren’t you?” He asked and they nodded negatively. “You look healthier and happier,” another doctor said.
Elias sighed and started away, Chief knew he was bothered by something. “You guys should get back to work, I believe you have seen enough of Elias,” he said and the junior doctors started murmuring as they walked out of the room.
“Are you okay?” Chief asked as they walked out of the room. “Yes, why?” Elias asked.
“Don’t lie to me, your eyes says it all,” Chief replied and sat on the chair nearest to him (Elias)
“I’m not sure if it’s a problem,” he started and sigh. “Iris told me about her past,” he blurted and paused since Chief mouthed something.
“Let me guess, you don’t love her anymore?” Chief asked. “I don’t hate her nor do I blame her, I just find it hard to look at her the same way but I look at someone else that way,” he said and bowed his head.
“You are in love with someone else?” Chief asked to clear his doubts. “I don’t know if the right name for it is love,” he replied.
“But I want to be around her, I want to protect her, the last thing I want is tears on her face,” he uttered with a smile.
“You are in love?! Oh, mine! Where have you been all this while?” Chief asked

Mr. Zaragoza was sitting in a coffee shop waiting patiently for Neil, they were scheduled to meet there.
“Hey,” Neil said casually as he sat on the chair opposite him.
“What took you so long?” Mr. Zaragoza. “You are no longer useful to me Jerry, why should I value you?” Neil asked.
“Because I have the information you will love to have,” Jerry (Mr. Zaragoza) respond with a sly smirk.
“What do you have?” Neil asked. “Here,” Jerry said putting his phone, and Neil took it reluctantly.
He took a peek at it but he gave it his full attention as soon as he saw the picture, he stared at it for a while before dropping it table.
“Where did you get this?” Neil asked. “There is a room in the mansion, she gets her treatment there,” Jerry replied.
“Romina! Romina!! How dare you make a fool out of me? You fooled everyone!” He uttered angrily, his voice became coarse and his fist tightened.
“What’s your plan?” Jerry asked.
