Romina listened to Iris explain everything in detail to her, surprisingly to Romina she left nothing out.
Including her night with Neil, their d.ead child too, it got Romina wondering why she trust her so much, and here she is trying to make her fiancee fall in love with her.
‘It is wrong, I should stay away from Elias. Iris deserves him, more than I do,’ she concluded in her head and she suddenly held Iris’s hand.
“It is going to be fine, I want to believe your fiancee loves you and he will choose you a hundred times over.
“I doubt that he isn’t the man I fell in love with ever since he returned, it is obvious in his eyes I am no longer in his heart,” Iris said with a bittered heart.
“What do you mean? He would not have returned if he didn’t care about you, he loves you, Iris you just have to believe him,” she said.
“He doesn’t, he was trying to force himself to look at me the same way when he returned and me telling him about my past just made him lose all hope in trying to love me. He loves someone else and it hurts because Neil is right,” Iris said and bowed her head
“Why is Neil right?” She asked. “He said no one can love me the way he does, I don’t want to acknowledge his love but only him and mom accept me,” she replied
“And you,” she added and Romina felt her heart broken, she bowed her head out of guilt.
“Do you want to leave your fiancee then?” Romina asked. “I don’t know Romina, I love him and I want him to be happy.
However, he isn’t happy being with me, why is every theory right about us? Neil, his siblings, maybe we are not meant to be together,” she concluded with a sad smile.
“You should fight for your love, I mean if I were you I would give him thousands of reasons to love me, he can always love you again,” Romina assured.
Iris was silent for a while, she stared at Romina with a smile. To her Romina was the best friend anyone can have, she wiped the tears that fell on her cheek and folded her lips.
“If you truly love him Iris go for him,” Romina added. “I know I’m h®rrible and I don’t deserve this love but you are an angel,” Iris uttered with a shaky voice.
“I’m going to leave if you cry,” Romina threatened and they chuckled.
They talked about something else but Romina felt guilty throughout, she wondered what to do.
She wanted to be a good friend to Iris and at the same time make Elias realize her feelings for him, how can she do both without getting hurt or hurting someone
“Tell me about you, have you ever fallen in love?” Iris asked and Iris choked on her drink.
“Sorry,” Iris apologized and passed her a tissue paper. “It’s fine,” Romina replied with a forced smile.
“Looks like you have never been in love,” Iris teased. “I have a crush on someone, I’m not sure if it’s love,” she replied.
“Who?” Iris asked. ‘Your fiancee,’ Romina replied mentally.
“A colleague,” Romina replied. “Ohh, does he know?” Iris asked.
“No,” she replied. “Do you have plans of telling him?” Iris inquired.
“No, he has someone in his life. I should just let go of my feelings,” Romina replied stirring the juice in front of her with the straw.
“So thoughtful but will you be fine?” She asked. “I am not sure since it is my first time,” Romina replied.
“It would hurt but this is love you should deal with your heart, not your head, you are the kind of person that works with your head,” Iris said
“Following your heart is not always the best decision, people can get hurt,” Romina replied.
“That Is it, you just need to be selfish sometimes not everyone gives a damn about you, so it is not wrong when you don’t give a dmn either,” Iris replied.
“But people will get hurt when you are selfish,” Romina said. “That is the point, you remind them you are human too just like them,” she replied.
Iris got a text from her mom, it reads:
*Where are you?*
“My mom is worried, I should head home,” Iris said and stood up.
“I’ll take care of the bill,”
“I’ll take care of the bill,”
Iris and Romina said in unison, they chuckled when they realized what just happened.
“Let’s split it in half,” Romina suggested. “Sounds good,” Iris agreed and they paid.

“How was your day?” Mr. Zaragoza asked immediately after Romina stepped into the mansion.
“I thought you left,” she said. “Neil is still making arrangements for that,” he replied.
“I am running out of patience looking at your face makes me want to puke,” she said and walked upstairs, she met Nanny Gloria coming out of her mother’s room.
“Good evening, Romina,” she greeted. “Evening nanny,” she replied.
“Have you eaten?” Her nanny asked. “Yes, you should rest,” she advised and walked away.
“Hey,” she said casually to Zoey who was waiting for her.
“Hi,” Zoey replied. “What are you doing here?” Romina asked
“Waiting for you,” she replied. “Why?” Romina asked.
“The imposter, when do you plan on getting rid of him?” Zoey asked.
“I’m hoping soon, I have to speak to Neil,” she replied. “Did something happen?” She asked.
“I noticed his strange movement, he must have discovered something, and the more he stays here the more he will discover,” she replied.
“I know, I plan on getting rid of them soon,” she replied.
“I will leave now,” she said and left the room, Romina sat in front of her dressing mirror and she remembered her conversation with Iris.
“I don’t want to hurt you but I can’t help it, my heart won’t listen to me,” she spoke to her reflection.

Romina woke up quite late, she had an important meeting that afternoon and she wanted to have a word with the team.
“Romina, breakfast is ready!” Nanny Gloria said as she stood in front of her room.
She opened the door and rushed past her. “Sorry nanny, I can’t have breakfast,” she said and rushed down the stairs.
She opened the door and bumped into someone, she almost fell but a hand caught her.
She raised her head and stared directly into Elias’s eyes, he was smiling at her. Her heart was beating faster than usual and his arm around her waist just worsened the situation.
“Going somewhere?” He asked and she lost balance, she fell to the floor pulling him along he fell on her and their lips brushed against each other.
‘You want to taste it again, don’t lie,” Romina subconscious whispered and she pulled his head closer.
He placed his lips on hers and kssed her slowly, Elias was about to deepen the kss when Zoey spoke.
“Doesn’t it hurt?” Zoey asked and Elias got up immediately, Romina tried to get up but her back hurt so Elias gave her a hand.
“Thanks,” she appreciated. “Don’t worry, I was the only person who saw that,” Zoey said and walked away while Romina stared away nervously.
‘That was good,’ Elias thought with a smile. “Good morning,” he greeted and Romina turned to look at him shyly.
“Morning,” she replied. “Sorry about that,” he apologized.
“I’ll take you to her,” Romina said instead, pretending not to hear his apology, she led the way while he followed.
He noticed how she walked and could tell that she hurt her back.
“I thought you were in a hurry,” nanny Gloria said as she walked out of Romina’s room with bedsheets and duvet.
“Zoey is busy,” she gestured at Elias and nanny Gloria understood.
“Good morning,” Nanny Gloria greeted. “Morning,” he replied and they went to Mrs. Zaragoza’s room.
After checking Mrs. Zaragoza Elias turned to Romina and she stared away avoiding his gaze.
“Good,” he said referring to her mother’s health, he walked towards her and she stared away.
He made her back and held her zipper. “What are you doing?” She asked and tried to turn around but he stopped her.
“Trust me,” he said and she stood still, he zipped down her gown and pulled it apart getting a better view of her back to her waist.
“You hurt your back when you fell,” he said and trailed his hand on her back, she felt something liquid drop on her p.ant.
“I will massage it,” he said and picked up an ointment on the bed, she wanted to protest but he started massaging her back.
She closed her eyes as she felt his hand roam around her back, she bit her lips as she felt nothing but pleasure.
He moved closer to her and their body were just a few inches from each other.
