Romina could be seen lying on her bed, sleeping peacefully. Her phone rang loudly waking her up, she groaned and sat up.
Rubbing her eyes sleepily and not checking the caller she picked up her phone and press the answer button.
“Hello,” she mumbled. “Hey, I need your help,” Iris uttered, and just like magic, her eyes were as clear as crystal.
“Iris?!” She was stunned. “Yes, why do you sound surprised? Didn’t you save my number?” Iris inquired angrily, it was the effect of the alcohol.
“No that isn’t the case, I was asleep,” she explained briefly.
“Sorry that I woke you up but it’s quite important,” Iris stated. “I am listening,” Romina pushed the duvet away and sat with her feet on the ground.
“My fiancee broke up with me…., why do I sound like this?” She chuckled. “He wants to break up with me because of some bch.”
Romina sighed and rested her chin on her hand, she asked. “What is your plan, Iris? What do you want from me?”
“I need your money, lend me some,” she answered.
Romina rubbed her temple slightly. “Money? Why do you need money?”
“Elias needs to see that I am way better than that whore he is seeing, I am going to make him regret having the thought of breaking up with me,” she replied.
Iris waited for a response but there was a long silence at the other end, she frowned and balled her fist, she asked. “Are you going to give me or not?”
“Let’s meet up,” Romina finally respond. “Where?” Iris asked.
“In my office,” she replied. “Cool I will meet you there in twenty,” she said and stood up.
“Check the time Iris, it’s late. We will meet up tomorrow,” She said and Iris hummed.
“Good night,” Romina uttered and end the call. Romina dropped her phone on the bed and went into the bathroom.
She walked out of the bathroom dripping wet minutes later, she rubbed the towel on her body continuously.
She got dressed after successfully getting rid of the water, she was dressed in her nightgown.
She sat at her reading table and ponder on what Iris told her, she never knew he meant what he said.
It’s obvious that he loves her and not Iris but she wants to remain friends with Iris too, she planned on explaining things to Iris once the time is right but Elias is ruining things for her.
Iris would be broken when she finds out the truth, but how is she going to tell her?
She went to her bed and slumped on it, it took only a few minutes for her to drift into sleep.
The next morning, Nanny Gloria was preparing breakfast with some maids when Zoey walked in.
“Good morning, Ms. Gloria,” she greeted. “Morning Zoey,” she answered.
“Is Romina ready?” Nanny Gloria asked judging by the time she should be ready for work and breakfast.
“She is not out of her room yet, should I check up on her?” Zoey asked.
Nanny Gloria shook her head. “She needs all the rest she can get, yesterday night was tough for her.”
“Mrs. Zaragoza is in the living room,” Zoey informed Nanny Gloria.
“Is she up to something?” Nanny Gloria asked. “I don’t mind reading,” Zoey stated and Nanny Gloria bit her lips angrily.
“How I wish we know what is going through her mind, she must be up to some sort of evil again,” Nanny Gloria muttered.
“Her behavior is strange, humans are unpredictable,” Zoey shook her head and went to sit on a stool.
Nanny Gloria walked closer to her, giving her a suspicious look she asked. “What do you mean by humans being unpredictable?”
“Mrs. Zaragoza is aware of Romina’s identity, she promised to do whatever she can to regain her memory and help Romina but she is suddenly doing the opposite,” she answered.
“I don’t understand,” Nanny Gloria muttered with a furrowed brow.
“I showed Mrs. Zaragoza a video of her and Romina since the day I was created. Her memory is still lost but she is aware of the truth,” Zoey elaborated.
“That explains her nice behavior,” nanny Gloria uttered. “Yeah, Neil must have brainwashed her again it was a wrong idea letting her go with him,” Zoey said.
“We need to tell Romina,” Nanny Gloria. “Mrs. Zaragoza doesn’t want that,” Zoey replied.
“To h’ll with what she wants, I am not going to let her treat Romina like some piece of trash,” she uttered in rage.
While in the living too, Mrs. Zaragoza stood up intending to head towards the dining room when Neil walked in.
“Good morning, mother,” Neil greeted with a smile. Mrs. Zaragoza was nervous and uncomfortable about his sudden appearance but she pretended as if it was nothing was wrong.
“Why are you here so early?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked. “Well, I am here to drive Romina out. Aren’t you worried that she could be plotting something?” Neil asked as he walked closer.
“She wouldn’t harm us,” Mrs. Zaragoza stated. “I wouldn’t be too sure if I were your mother, Romina is a Sunning bch,” he blurted unaware of her presence on the stairs.
“You don’t get paid, do you?” Romina’s unexpected response startled them. “I don’t understand why you derive pleasure in ruling others, Neil Young.”
“Young?” Mrs. Zaragoza repeated. “Yes, that is his real name, Young not Zaragoza,” Romina walked down the stairs towards them.
“I told you didn’t I? She is going to do all she can to make sure she remains in the house, Young? What sort of name is that?” He chuckled.
“That is your name bstard! Don’t pretend to be smart!” Romina growled.
“Pretend? I am not pretending, you are the only pretender here,” he replied, calmly.
“That is enough, you should stop making up lies Romina!” Mrs. Zaragoza snapped.
With tears gushing out of her eyes, she called. “Mom.”
“I am not your mom, how many times do you want me to repeat that?!” Mrs. Zaragoza retorted.
“And you are leaving this house right now,” She added, Romina sniffed back her tears and made eye contact with Mrs. Zaragoza.
“Try and make me,” she retorted with her arms folded under her bbs.
“Are you daring her?” Neil scoffed. “You are unbelievable.”
Mrs. Zaragoza walked back to the table and picked up the knlfe beside the fruit basket.
“Romina,” Mrs. Zaragoza called and raised the knlfe to view.
“What do you plan on using that for?” Romina panicked. “I… I am going to kll myself if you don’t leave this house,” she threatened as she tried to home back her tears.
“What? Have you lost your mind? You are going to commit $uicide because of this low life?!” Neil yelled.
“Wait, this has to be a joke. You are kidding, you can’t kll yourself. Do you want to get rid of me that much?” She asked in a broken voice.
“Stop making this hard for us and leave quietly,” Mrs. Zaragoza said and brought the knlfe closer to her neck.
“What are you doing?!” Nanny Gloria screamed and ran towards the scene with Zoey behind her.
“You all should stay away!” Mrs. Zaragoza ordered. “Drop the knlfe, please,” Romina pleaded.
“I will do that only if you leave,” she replied. “You are going to end your life because Romina refuses to leave, that is insane!” Nanny Gloria screamed.
Neil smirked secretly as he watched the scenes, it was a beautiful sight. That was just the beginning, he wonders what Romina’s decision will be
“Fine!” Romina screamed. “I will leave, don’t hurt yourself.”
“Go and get your things, then,” Neil said and Romina wished she could hit him but she needs to be calm for her mom.
Romina took a slow turn and went upstairs, Mrs. Zaragoza dropped the knife and Zoey followed Romina upstairs.
“Are you leaving?” Zoey asked as Romina got her things. “I don’t have much of a choice, if I want to protect her I have to leave,” she replied.
“Neil manipulated her, we should make him leave not the other way round,” she said.
“I will come back for mom and when I do, Neil will regret messing with our family,” Romina assured
Zoey left the room while Romina continued packing, she was done a few minutes later and she went downstairs.
“Romina,” Nanny Gloria sobbed while Mrs. Zaragoza avoided looking at her, her face was void of emotion.
“I am ready,” Zoey uttered running down the stairs. “Where are you going?” Romina inquired.
“We are you going?” Romina questioned. “I am going with you,” she replied.
“Wait, you can’t leave. What about Nanny?” Romina asked.
“You all can leave together for all I care,” Neil muttered. “You can’t,” Romina stated
“Don’t say anything, I am coming,” Zoey said and she turned to Mrs. Zaragoza who looked away.
“I will come back Neil and when I do you will regret every caution of yours,” she muttered and left with Zoey beside her.
