Elias sat beside Romina’s bed, he held her hand close to his cheek as he waited for her to wake up.

Iris was out of surgery and her mom was with her, she lost lots of bI®®d so it was going to take a while for her to recover.

“Mom,” Romina called as tears streamed down her cheeks, her eyes were still shut though.

“Romina? Are you awake? Can you hear me?” He asked as he moves closer to her.

“Elias,” she called weakly. “Yes, I’m here,” he responds.

“Is my mom safe?” She asked and he felt tears prick his eyes. “Why do you look like that? What’s wrong?” She asked.

“I am sorry,” he apologized and she sob silently. A few minutes later, Romina was calm she sat up and Elias dropped a plate of food in front of her.

“You should eat something,” he urged. “I don’t have an appetite,” she replied and started away.

“You still need to eat, you won’t get better unless you do,” he tried to sound convincing, Romina stared around and try to find Zoey.

She remembers her taking a bvllet for her, she should be in the room since it’s a day already.

“Where is Zoey? Was she fixed?” She inquired her gaze now on Elias.

“No, Steve said he is ruined beyond repair,” he replied. “He took everything and everyone from me Elias,” she cried.

“No, that’s not right. I am here, our baby is here,” he reminded her.

“My… Mom, Zoey… just why did he need to do that, why? My family did nothing wrong why did he punish us? He is a m®nster! I hate him!!” Romina screamed and Neil hugged her

He hugged her as she cried on his chest, he forced her to eat and she slept afterward.

Elias called the twin to check if there were alright, he was worried about them at the same time about Romina.

He didn’t want to leave Romina’s side since she was traumatized, he stroked her hair gently as he hum a lullaby.

He would peck her forehead repeatedly and then rub her stomach, he wanted to be there for her.

“I love you and I will help you get through this,” he assured and smiled at her cute sleeping face, he understood her pa!n.

“Is she dead?” Neil asked Nicole, it’s been a month and he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Mrs. Zaragoza was buried and Zoey’s body was dispatched by Steve after Romina said her goodbyes.

Nanny Gloria was feeling better but Romina stopped her from working, she employed a maid.

Romina moved back with nanny Gloria, she started working in the company about a week ago and the company is now in better shape.

Steve tried to build a new robot for her but she declined, her thoughts were

‘No robot can replace her, she was more than a robot to me. She was my best friend, and best friends can not be replaced.

“Who are you talking about? You tried to kll lots of people the last time I checked,” Nicole replied.

“The Zaragoza’s,” he replied with an ev’l smirk. “Mrs. Zaragoza is dead thanks to you, may her soul rest in peace. Romina is the new CEO and guesses what? She runs the company better than you, I am not surprised it is her company after all,” she $macked her lips.

“I am going to get out of here and I will murder her, I will get back what’s mine,” he smiled.

“The judge made a mistake sentencing you to life imprisonment, you should have been taken to a psychiatric hospital.

Enjoy your days here, because these walls are the last thing you will see. I won’t be able to visit you often because I have better things to do,” she stood up and sighed.

“Mom and Dad are ashamed of you,” she spat and turned to walk away

“How is Iris? I want to see her, I want to apologize for hurting her. Please let me see her,” he pleaded.

“That isn’t my decision to make, she doesn’t want to see you,” she blurted.

“What? That can’t be, she loves me. She might be angry but she would never decline to see me, tell her I am sorry I want to see her,” he pleaded on the verge of tears.

“She is leaving the country with her mom, I guess everyone hates you now,” she shook her head in pity and walked away

“No! Iris! I want to see Iris!” He screamed as he tried to follow Nicole but some cops ran after him and held him down.

“Nicole! Don’t leave me! Come back Nicole, I don’t want to stay here!” He screamed as they dragged him back to his cell.

Nicole covered her mouth as she sobbed silently, she doesn’t hate him but she wants to keep him safe, that was all she wanted to do.

Romina took the twins to the playing ground, they were having fun on the swing when Nicole sat beside Romina.

Romina has been avoiding her since the incident and that made her feel bad.

“Miss. Zaragoza,” Nicole called but Romina ignored her. “I know you hate me, you must do because you think I am Neil’s accomplice. I was never supported by my brother, I didn’t become the twin’s teacher with an ulterior motive.” She paused.

“Please, believe me, I only wanted to help. Can you stop avoiding me, you are making me feel guilty,” she stated frustratedly

“I am sorry if you feel that way, I had no plans of making you feel bad. Steve told me how you helped, I just felt sad that your parents were hurt in my family’s company,” she replied.

“You don’t have to feel hurt or bad, it isn’t your family’s fault, I never held you guys responsibly,” Nicole replied.

Romina smiled at her and stared away, no one said a word afterward, Romina and the twins left a few minutes later while Nicole was still sitting on the bench

“There you are,” Steve said behind Nicole. “Hey,” she smiled.

“Did you speak to Romina?” He asked and she nodded. “Did you guys resolve things?”

“Yes, we are cool,” she answered. “I am happy all her problems are over,” he mumbled.

“Let’s have lunch, I am hungry,” Nicole suggested and stood up. “It’s a date,” Steve blurted.

“No,” she replied. “I want to go on a date with you,” he pouted.

“I don’t like you,” Nicole replied. “I like you,” Steve stated running after her.

“Wait for me, Nicole!” He screamed as he ran after her.

The past months have been great, Romina was due in a few days she stop going to work and visited the hospital frequently to avoid complications

She has lost lots of things, she doesn’t want to lose her long-awaited baby.

“You are peeing aunt Romina,” Diana pointed at her legs, they were in the hospital with nanny Gloria.

Elias should have taken her but he had an emergency, Nanny Gloria’s eyes trailed to Romina’s leg and her eyes widened.

“Your water broke!” She screamed. “What water?” Draco inquired innocently.

“The baby is coming!” Romina yelled and three nurses rushed to her, they helped her get on a stretcher and took her to the labor room.

A few minutes later Elias arrived looking worried, everyone was worried because all they could hear was Romina’s screams.

Two hours later

Romina heard the twins talking in unison, she opened her eyes slowly and stared around.

“She is awake,” Draco said and they rushed to her bed.

“How do you feel?” Nanny Gloria asks. “Where is my child?” She questioned back.

The twins pointed at Elias who walked towards her with a baby.

“It’s a girl,” Diana whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.

“She is adorable,” Romina complimented as she held her.

“She looks like you,” nanny Gloria said. “What’s her name?” Draco asked.

Romina stared at Elias. “You have the honor,” he said.

Romina smiled as the baby reminded her of someone.

“Zoey, Zoey Del Vera,” she replied.

“We have a new Del Vera!” Diana and Draco yell jumping in excitement

Nanny Gloria carried Zoey and the twins followed her as they couldn’t get enough of the baby.

“We have been through a lot,” Elias said. “I am glad we overcame them all” Romina smiled and rested her head on his chest.

“I love you, Romina.”

“I love you more.”
