” It’s a lie….. you’re bluffing” the man said.
” No I’m not, Mike…..do you want to tell the man what that Poison do?” Desmond said.
” It’s a very deadly poison which starts by rising of temperature and if the antidote is administer…..”
” in an hour the poison will take course and started eating the person inside out, it will start eating her intestine” Mike explained.
” Exactly, now you know and if my timing is right then your daughter has less than ten minutes before the poison take action” Desmond said.
” If anything happens to my daughter……you will regret it…..I promise you” the man said.
” Enough of that threat, like I said earlier her life is in your hands…… only you can save her” Desmond replied.
” How can I save her from here?…..you said she have 10 minutes left” he shouted.
” Actually it’s 8 minutes now and luckily for you I placed the antidote close by in the house”
” Untie us now and then I’ll tell the nanny where the antidote is……hurry up, tick tock tick tock” Desmond said.
” Untie them now” he ordered his men.
” But boss…..”
” I said untie them” he shouted at them and the men untied them.
” Now, where is the antidote?” He asked then Desmond grinned evilly then swiftly punched the guy closer to him.
He collected the gun from him and before others could react he shot them down leaving the man alone.
” You just killed my men” the man said glaring at him.
” Yeah, they deserved it” Desmond replied.
” Seriously Dad?” Mike said.
” What?,… you said I shouldn’t be brutal so I gave them a merciful death which they didn’t deserve” Desmond replied.
” You told me you will cure my daughter” the man said crying then Desmond went to him and knocked him out of consciousness.
” Dad, please don’t tell me you poisoned the innocent girl” Mike said staring at him.
” Seriously?….you really take me for a monster, don’t you?” Desmond said.
” Just answer the question Dad, what did you do to her?” Mike asked.
” Of course I didn’t poison her, I only slipped a pill to cause her temperature to rise for some minutes”
” She should be getting better by now”
” I may be merciless and heartless, I’m still a father and I’m not an evil person” Desmond replied.
” Yeah, I hear you…… let’s get to work” Mike replied then he put the man on the chair and tied him up.

Few minutes later, Mike wake the man and he looked around frightenedly then he realized he’s been tied down.
” My daughter……you said you will cure her” he said.
” Calm down, your daughter is fine……..it was just something to stir up her temperature” Desmond replied.
” You stupid man, you put her life in danger, I’ll have you killed” he said glaring at Desmond.
” I don’t think you can do anything in your recent Situation” Desmond replied smiling.
” So Mike, do you want to do the honours or should I?” Desmond asked.
” I’ll handle it Dad” Mike replied then he turned to the man.
” We can do this the easier way, no pain, no torture and everything will be fine” Mike said.
” Tell us, who are you working for?….. who is Peruzad?” Mike asked.
” I’m not telling you sh*t….i’m not saying anything” the man replied.
” Just tell us who he is and avoid getting yourself killed, what’s wrong with you?” Mike asked.
” I’d rather die than telling you anything…..if you want to kill me just get on with it” he replied.
” I’m trying to help you here man,You see that angry looking man over there” Mike said pointing at Desmond.
” He has no joy for people like he’s no where merciful, all he wants is to reunite you with your ancestors”
” He will literally wear your spine as a necklace and your balls as a souvenir”
” Because that’s what he does to bastard like you unless you give him what he wants” Mike said.
” I’m not afraid of him or you……you can both go to hell for all I care” he said then Mike turned to his father.
” Okay Dad, you can take it from here” Mike said then Desmond stood up and came forward.
” Do you know what this is?” Desmond said showing him a detonator.
” Dad, don’t tell me that’s a bomb detonator” Mike said.
” As a matter of fact, Yes” Desmond replied.
” What I learned from these people was that no matter what you do to them, they won’t tell you”
” I wondered why will men wish to die for something like this, to me they are not terrorist”
” Because they don’t act as one and they don’t even know what they are fighting for then why will they sacrifice themselves”
” And from what I learned from the last man I tortured, they are trying to protect Peruzad, they are trying to protect their families”
” Peruzad has control over them then I decided to use that as an advantage as well” Desmond said.
” What did you do again?” Mike asked.
” Before I took the girl home, I took her bag and wired it with a bomb and also with timer and this time around I’m not bluffing” Desmond said.
” I don’t believe you……you lied before I know you’re lying Now” the man said.
” I guess you need proof then” Desmond said then took the man’s phone and dialled the Nanny’s number.
” Here speak with the nanny and confirm” Desmond said then placed the phone to his ear.
? ” Hello Sir, I’ve been trying to reach you but it’s not connecting” she said.
? ” Hello Maria, how is she?” He asked.
? ” She’s fine Now, the fever is gone….. she’s completely okay” she replied and heaved in relief.
? ” The man that dropped her off, did he gave you any bag?” He asked.
? ” Yes Sir, it was Madam Loveth’s bag….. it’s here in her room” she replied.
? ” You’re still at the house?” He asked.
? ” Yes Sir”
? ” Go to the bag, don’t open it, just listen if you hear any sound” he said.
? ” Okay sir” she replied then he waited.

? ” Yes Sir, there’s some kind of beeping ” she said.
? ” Get o……..” He wanted to say but Desmond disconnected the call.

” Do you believe me now?” Desmond asked.
” You’re a heartless monster” he said.
” You can’t blame me…… circumstances made it so” he said.
” So let’s start from the beginning……….who is Peruzad?” Desmond asked.
” You don’t understand, I can’t tell you……I can’t tell you” the man said.
” Even at the expense of your daughter’s life?” Desmond said.
” You can’t hurt my daughter…… I’m doing all this for her” he replied.
” How is any of these for her?…. you’re killing innocent people including children” Desmond said.
” I don’t want to do this, you think this is who I am?……. I’m not this person, he made my life this” he shouted.
” Then why can’t you just reject the offer…..why can’t you just stop working for him” Desmond said.
” You think I didn’t think of that?…..you think I didn’t try doing that?”
” You don’t know who this man is or what is capable of doing…..this man is a mon$ter just like you” he said.
” It seems to me you hate him just as much as I do which means he must’ve done something to you”
” Tell me what did he do and why are you still working for him?” Desmond asked.
” He killed my wife, it happened five years ago….they said it was an accident which is lie” he cried.
” He killed her just because I don’t want to be working for him anymore……..he has his men everywhere”
” He threatened to kill my daughter just to keep me working for him and I know he’ll do it” he said.
” Oh please, don’t just make it seems you’re the victim here…. it’s not like he just came to you and threatened your life”
” Lemme guess, he came to you offering you a Job and quite huge sum of money of which you can’t refuse”
” And as the greedy person that you are, you jumped to it without thinking of what the Job could be”
” And by the time you realized the kind of sht you got yourself, you realized you’re already stuck” Desmond implied.
” It was because I needed the money at that moment……my daughter was sick” he said.
” Why don’t you tell us who he is then we will know how we can help you” Mike asked.
” I can’t tell you…….. he will kill my daughter” he said.
” Tell us who he is then I promise you…..your daughter will be safe” Desmond assured.
” C’mon tell us…..you can trust us to get this ba$tard” Mike said to him.
” He’s the director General…… chief Rex Daniel” he said reluctantly.
” Hold on, That’s the chief……. that’s my boss” Mike said.
” You mean your boss at the agency?” Desmond asked.
” You’re lying…..tell me it’s a lie” Mike said grabbing at his neck.
” I’m not, that’s the truth…….why would I lie?…. He’s the one I’m Working for” the man said convincingly.
” OhmyGod, So it’s chief all along?…..but why?” Mike asked.
” Seriously?….. you’re still looking for why?” Desmond said then turned to the man.
” What’s his plan?……what does he intend to do?…..what is his aim?” Desmond asked.
” I don’t know, I don’t get to ask any questions only to carry out orders” he replied.
” I can’t believe this” Mike said surprised.
” You better do” Desmond replied.
” What was the main order he gave you apart of having us killed?” Desmond asked.
” The last one was weeks ago, he told me to send some men to the senator’s house for a device” he said.
” What device?” Desmond asked.
” I heard about that…..so he was actually the one behind that?” Mike said.
” What kind of device is it?….. what does it do?” Desmond asked.
” I don’t know but all I know was that it was dangerous and there are two of them” Mike answered.
” Where is the other one?” Mike asked.
” That was the first one we secured at the forest and we brought it to the agency which……. oh God” Mike muttered.
” Which means he has both the device in his possession?” Desmond completed then turned to the man.
” The device, what does it do?” He asked.
” I don’t know, I told you I don’t get to ask questions only carry out orders” the man replied.
” What was his next plan?” Desmond asked.
” I don’t know, only him knows” he replied.
” Where is he now?” Desmond asked again.
” I don’t know but he told me to meet him at the New Moon cemetery this afternoon” he replied.
” Cemetery?…..what for?” Desmond asked.
” I think I know, it’s a burial for the Agents that were killed at the agency, which he orchestrated”
” I can’t believe this man has been around all these while…… plotting this evil deeds and acting all innocent” Mike said hurtfully.
” Thank you for your honesty, I really appreciate that and I’m assuring that your daughter will be fine”
” You have my word on that but I’m sorry you have to die” Desmond said pointing gun at him.
” Drop the gun Dad” Mike said pointing his gun at him.
” Hahaha, Seriously?…..you’re a pointing a gun at your own father, have you gone crazy?” Desmond said.
” drop the gun Dad, you’re not Killing him” Mike said.
” You will shoot me because of him” he said.
” You always told me to be in control of every situation and this is my mission and I’m playing it my way”
” And right Now, I’m saying you’re not Killing him” Mike said.
” He’s a bad man, he has to die…… people like this don’t deserve Mercy, he’s better off dead” Desmond said.
” He might be guilty but he’s not as bad as you think……he made a mistake fine, everyone does that” Mike said.
” That’s what makes us human” he added.
” Sorry son, I just don’t give bad people second chance” Desmond said.
Desmond made to shoot him but Mike was quick enough then shoot him on his head and he fell down.
