The next morning was just like every other morning,Jasper picks me up from school as usual.
“Mari,Can you do me a favor?” Jasper asked as he parked in front of the school.
“If it’s possible,yes”
“I need you to do something for me tonight”
“Jasper,i already told you that your pe.rverted ways won’t work on me”
“It’s not about that..i.. need your help with something”
“Like what?”
“I’ll tell you after school,but please promise me you’ll do it”
“Dude, I can’t make that kind of promise”
“Whatever,just meet me here after school”
“Okay” We got out of the car together, getting the usual stares from people.
Jasper and i parted ways,I took my necessary books for my first class.
“It’s been almost a month and Jasper still lingers around you,The sx must be really good” Nicole approached me with a stupid smirk on her face.
“And what makes you think that it’s the sx that keeps him with me?”
“Oh, Come on, Mariana,Jasper is like add!cted to sx, It’s so impossible that he doesn’t bother you for it”
“Well, FYI, He’s not as you see him to be,He’s different”
“Yeah, right..Jasper will get tired of you,He won’t keeping being with a goody two shoes like you,he likes them bad and experienced”
“Okay, that’s enough, Nicole,leave Mariana alone” I turned and it was Austin,Nicole just scoffed amd walked away.
“What do you want?”
“Am just here to talk”
“Well,be fast,I have an important class” I looked away from him.
“I..i miss you” i turned sharply to him,he looked sad.
“What did you say?”
“I miss you..i miss us,i was a really big idi0t to break up with you”
“Austin,i don’t have time for your stupid games,i have a class to attend” i tried to walk away but he held my wrist
“Please,Mari,All i ask is for the two of us to sit down and talk about us, please”
“I have a boyfriend”
“I know that and trust me, it’s killing me to know that you are with someone else”
“Well, that’s good,now you’ll know how i felt when you stupidly broke up to with me” i walked away,He thinks he can just apologise and everything will be okay, He’s mistaken.

It was closing hours and i was heading to where Jasper packed his car, Brandon apologized for what he did and sid he was only looking out for me because Jasper is messed up.
I don’t why Alice and Brandon don’t want to tell me what happened in the past.
“Good, you came” Jasper said as he saw me.
“Yeah, you are my only ride home..So what do you want?”
“Well,at 10 pm today,i want you to follow me to Time Square”
“What? Why?”
“I need to be my runaway driver”
“Okay, Jasper,yoyneed to explain to me a little because am lost..Why do you need a runaway driver?”
“Last month,I made a bet with a group of guys concerning a game,well i cheated and won,so they found out,now they want a rematch which i don’t want to give them”
“What kind of game?”
“Drag racing” i almost choked on the air I was breathing.
“Drag racing? That’s illegal,We could go to jail”
“No,we won’t, because the police won’t catch us”
“Am scared,Jasper” He rolled his eyes and held my shoulders.
“Don’t be, it’ll be easy”
“Why didn’t ask Brandon or Chase?”
“You know how Brandon and i are at this time and Chase is completely whipped by my sister so he won’t do it”
“When we are about to start, I’ll jump into the car,then you zoom off immediately, We’ll use my Lamborghini, it’s faster”
“Okay, I’ll do it but if we get caught by the police, I’ll tell them you kidnapped me” He chuckled

Few Hours Later.
Japser and i are driving to Time Square,I lied to my mom that Alice and i had a huge project to finish, She would never let me out of the house if she found out i was to be someone’s runaway driver.
“You nervous for your big show?” Jasper asked and i sighed.
“Don’t make me more nervous about it” He chuckled and placed his hands on my thigh.
“You’ll be fine, trust me”
“Why are you even drag racing? You definitely don’t need the money”
“It gets my mind off things”
“Things like what?”
“Things i don’t want to talk about yet”
“Okay, fine by me”
We finally got there and they were people on the street,Most of them being g@ngsters.
“This people might have guns,what if they shoot at us?”
“Don’t worry, my car is bulletproof so there’s no problem,I’ll get down now and you stay in the driver’s seat”
“Okay but please be careful” He smiled at me and walked out of the car.
I hope he’ll be okay,this stuff is really dangerous. Jasper is a good person even though he likes to mask it with his player attitude but deep down i know he has a heart and a beautiful one.
My phone vibrated,it was a text..from Austin,i don’t why i haven’t deleted his number.
*Please,we need to talk, please*
*There’s nothing to talk about,We are already over and Jasper will kill you if he finds out that you want to talk to me*
*He doesn’t have to know, Please,Mari,i really miss you and i know you miss me too*

*Everything that happened between us was real to me,i only got caught in college life,i thought the college girls were better than you but i was mistaken no one can be compared to you*
I read the last message two times,then tossed my phone.
No doubt that i really loved Austin,he was actually my first real love and this whole pretend stuff with Jasper is because of him but why does everything feel different?
I laid my head on the steering wheel, Suddenly the car door opened and Jasper jumped in.
“Drive, Mari” i started the car and zoomed off.
“Be fast, the police will soon arrive”
I drove faster till we were finally out of the area,the car ride was quiet.
“It’s about Austin, right?” He asked and i looked at him.
“How do you know?”
“Your facial expression and plus,your phone has been vibrating for so long”
“He said he wants to talk to me and he misses me”
“What about you? Do you miss him?”
“I don’t know how i feel about Austin, am still confused”
“I guess our plan is working,right?”
“Yeah”

The NEXT DAY.
Here i am,in the basketball court with Alice,She was cheering for Chase while i was cheering for Jasper,the look on Nicole’s face as Jasper blows me a kss is priceless.
Few minutes later, the game was over,it was a tie between Austin’s team and Jasper’s team.
Alice ran over to Chase while i stayed on the bench, Jasper was being surrounded by a group of girls.
I could tell he was getting tired of them being around him,He looked at me and mouthed “help me” , i giggled at how he looked frustrated.
From the corner of my eyes,i could see Austin walking over to me,I quickly stood up and walked over to where Jasper stood,i dragged him away from those girls.
