EMERALD UNIVERSITY
It was a Thursday afternoon. Annie and Alexa were under a tree shade resting after their final paper that day.
“Annabel I’m hungry”Alexa said rubbing her tummy
“Come on let’s go to the restaurant and eat”
“I wanna go to where you work and eat there”
“Okay let’s go. I’ll drive”Annabel said and she nodded.

BON AVENUE RESTAURANT
The girls arrived and Annabelle packed the car.
They entered the restaurant and sat down to eat.
Annabel was always off duty on Thursday and they got served after she greeted her work mates. Alexa ordered for mac and cheese with wine while Annabel ordered pasta with sauce.
When they had finished eating and stepped out of the restaurant,they met Richard
“Hi Annie How are you doing?” He smiled
“Fine and you?”
“I’m good. And who is this pretty lady with you?”
“Hi I’m Alexa nice to meet you” They shake hands
“I’m Richard”
“Cool”
“Annabel Gideon is hosting a surprise party for Lisa’s birthday this Saturday”
“Really?”
“Yeah”
“Am I invited?” Alexa asked
“Of course”
“Send me the location”
“Okay I will tomorrow”
“Okay. Please is Adams home?” Annabel asked
“Yes why?”
“I would like to see him and thank him”
“For what?”
“I’ll tell you later”
“Okay see you later” He smiled and left
“I like him” Alexa said
“He has a girlfriend” Annabel teased purposely
“No I won’t take that” She frowned
“You must”
“What if something bad happens to his girlfriend?” Alexa smirked mischievously
“Don’t get any bad ideas young lady I was joking”
“Yeah me too” They laugh and parted ways after some time while Annabel headed for Adams house

CHARLOTTE’S PLACE
The bodyguard she sent to gather information about Annabel was back.
Charlotte was sitting on a couch in her heaven-like living room with her friend Bella.
“What took you so long?” She asked
“I’m sorry ma” He bowed
“Sorry for yourself…Now tell me everything about that wrench”
“Her name is Annabel”
“Interesting…go on”
“She lives five streets away from here. Her father owns a store across the road. She is 20 years old and has a troublesome junior sister. I think their mum is late and she attends Emerald University ma”
“Is that all?”
“That’s all I could gather about them ma”
“You may go”
He bowed and left
“So what’s your next move now?” Bella asked
Charlotte chuckled
“Babe I’m gonna make her pay for drawing Adams attention”
“So?”
“I’m still thinking”
Bella wasn’t satisfied
“This is not a time for thinking Charlotte. Make her pay. Who knows what she must have done to Adams to make him hate you. I think she bewitched him”
“No Bella it hasn’t gotten to that”
“Of course it has. Who knows,she might even begin his house right now”
Anger flashed in Charlotte’s eyes immediately
She stood up
“Where are you going to?” Bella asked
“Adams house” She replied we are her shoes
“Kk till you come”
Charlotte got into her car leaving her bodyguards and drove off.

ADAMS APARTMENT???
Annabel was allowed to enter using the access card Richard gave her. She approached the door and knocked.
Adams opened the door and was surprised to see the lady that occupied his thoughts all day
“Good evening” He greeted and Annabel was surprised
He saw her surprise and was shocked too. He couldn’t understand what was happening to him too
“Good evening Adams” She replied
“Come in please” He said
Annabel was wondering whether he hit his head on the wall before opening the door for her or maybe he was in a good mood.
She liked this nice side of him. It was cute
She entered and stood there
“Won’t you sit?”
“No I just came to thank you”
“For what?”
“For helping me treat my skin burn. I really appreciate”
“No need to thank me”
“There is an I’ve been wondering why did you help me?”
He shrugged
“I just felt like it”
“Really?”
“Yeah” He smiled
“And you’re also being nice to me believe me its creepy”
He just smiled
“Okay I’ll take my leave now” She turned to go and tripped
She almost fell but he caught her looking into her eyes. This stubborn lady is really making him feel what he cannot comprehend.
Annabel felt like she no longer had life in her. She was getting lost looking into his eyes.
He finally pulled her up and she landed in his chest making it look as if they were hugging and just then the door burst open and Charlotte entered
