Charlotte had returned from her visit to the registrar.
She entered her living room and saw Bella there
“Hey babe” She greeted but Bella didn’t answer
“Bella don’t tell me you’re still angry with me over that minor issue”
Bella scoffed
“You call it minor issue? Charlotte I’m both angry and disappointed”
“Why? It was only for one night”
“Don’t lie Charlotte. This is the second time you’ve gone to meet him. Honestly,I thought you had quit this useless lifestyle of yours but I was wrong”
“Bella please don’t start” Charlotte was getting irritated
“You’re making yourself cheap and shameless”
“Don’t insult me Bella”
“I’m being realistic here. How could you sleep with a man that can give birth to your junior sister if you have one”
“I needed to do it. That was the only way to get back at Annabel”
“There are many ways you would have gotten back at her. For example,you could force the owner of the restaurant she works to fire her”
“I’ll do that also”
“You shouldn’t have done that”
“Bella,it’s my life so don’t teach me how to live it”
“No problem since it’s your life but what if the registrar did not do his own part”
Charlotte chuckled
“Then I’ll kill him”

A WEEK LATER
EMERALD UNIVERSITY
Exams were finally over and the students were in the campus garden laughing and discussing the way forward after graduation. They were gathered in groups
Annabel and Alexa were under a tree sitting on the grass
“Wow Alexa,I can’t believe it’s finally over”Annabel sighed
“Yeah. Our prayer now is for God to help us pass out of here. Cause I don’t trust these people handling our results” Alexa said
“Why?”
“They could exchange our results and fail us because of money. They are very heartless”
“God won’t allow them do that cause if they try it,I’m gonna file a complaint to the ministry of education”
“I hope so Annie I really hope so”
“Well I need to go to work now”Annabel stood up
“Okay. My car is better now. We can go together”
“Alright”
They entered Alexa car and she drove directly to the restaurant

BON AVENUE RESTAURANT
Charlotte entered the restaurant and asked for the manager
“Where is Mr. Wilson,I want to see him now” She ordered
“Calm down ma’am I’ll go call him”Linda said
“Will you get the hell outta here and call him for me?”
“What’s going on here?” Mr. Wilson asked coming out of the kitchen
“Monsieur,this lady here said she wants to see you” Linda said
Mr.Wilson saw that it was Charlotte
“Good evening Maidmoselle Charlotte”
“Mr. Wilson,we need to talk”
“Okay. Excuse us Linda”
Linda nodded and went to join Sam in the kitchen since customers have not start coming
He led her to a seat and they sat down
“What do you want to talk about Ms. Charlotte?” He asked
“I have come to ask a favor from you”
“Okay what is it?”
“I want you to fire Annabel”
His face turned pale
“Annabel? But what has she done?”
“That’s not for you to know so do what I told you”
“How can I fire her without a reason? She’s my best worker and a daughter to me”
“Mr. Wilson,you must do what I say else you won’t like the outcome of your disobedience”
“But…”
She stood up and slammed her hands on the desk
“No buts. If you don’t do it,I’m calling my dad to shut your restaurant down this minute”
“Please it hasn’t gotten to that. Okay I’ll do it”He was sad
“Better” She picked up her bag and made for the door
Annabel and Alexa entered that same time
She glared at Annabel and left
Annabel approached Mr. Wilson and asked
“Monsieur,is anything the matter?” She asked noticing his sad mood
“Annabel dear,I’m sorry” He said and she got confused
“I don’t understand you sir. What are you sorry for?”
“Annabel you’re fired”
She blinked
“Fir…fir…fired? Why? Wh…wh…what did I do?”She stuttered
“Nothing my dear. It’s just that your services are no longer needed. I’m sorry”
Annabel stood there and thought for awhile
She knew Charlotte was behind this so she sighed
“It’s alright Mr. Wilson. I understand your plight” She walked over to him and hugged him…Don’t worry Monsieur”
She felt something hot on her shoulders and pulled from the hug to see him crying
Tears slipped down her eyes too
“Stop please…it’s not your fault monsieur. I know Charlotte is behind this so don’t worry”
“Annabel,you don’t know how much it hurts me to see you go. You’ve done alot for this restaurant. If not for you,this restaurant wouldn’t have been so famous”
“I know but don’t worry,I’ll come around and visit sometimes”
He sniffles
“You will?”
She nodded and he hugged her
“Thank you so much”
“My pleasure sir. Let me get going before she comes and threatens you again”
Sam came out of the kitchen and hugged her
“I’ll miss you Annie”
“Me too. Where is Linda?” She asked
“I’m here” Linda answered in tears
Alexa just stood watching everything
Linda ran and hugged her
“I’ll miss you. Be careful”Linda said
“I will”
Annabel turned and left the restaurant with Alexa
When they got outside,Charlotte couldn’t contain her laughter
“How does it feel loosing your job Annabel?”
Annabel ignored her and kept going
“This is just a tip of the iceberg. More are coming and I won’t stop till you knee at my feet begging for mercy”
“In your dreams” Alexa said and entered her car with Annabel and they drove off
Charlotte had a satisfied smile on her face
She couldn’t wait to see Annabel’s face when she fails her exams

Annabel got home and Lisa noticed her mood
“You’re home early today and you don’t look so good what’s up?” Lisa asked
“I got fired”

SATURDAY….
STAR MODELS HIGH SCHOOL
The halls were crowded with so many people who came to watch the auditions and see her was going to get picked to represent the school in the competition
Annabel and Alexa were in the dressing room with Lisa
“You’re gonna rock it baby girl” Alexa encouraged her
“Thanks”
“You look stunning. Go out there and make big sister proud okay?”
She nodded
They heard a knock on the door
“Come in”
Gideon entered
“Wow wow wow,is this Lisa?”He asked
“Yes”Annabel answered
“Can you guys excuse us?” He requested
Annabel gave him a look
Alexa pulled her out
“Don’t try anything funny Gideon” She warned and followed Alexa out
“You look beautiful” He said
“Thanks”
“You’re ending the show right?”
“Yeah”
“Alright I wish you the best of luck Lisa”
“Thank you” She smiled and stood up
He drew her back and pecked her cheek and she blushed
“Good luck” He turned and left
Lisa held her cheeks and smiled
Annabel rushed in
“Hope he didn’t try anything funny?”She asked and Lisa laugh
“Stop acting like a meddling mother and let’s go. The auditions are about to start” Alexa said
Annabel pecked her forehead before leaving with Alexa.

THE HALL
The guys were the first to start. Their theme was looking cool and Dylan was the best amongst all of them. The hall was filled with applause for his performance
Later it was the girls turn and Sarah was the one to start the show. The crowd studied her body posture and it wasn’t that good but they applauded anyway.
Some girls came out too and did theirs and it was time for Marla. Following their theme which was acting like a DIVA,Marla impressed them and they applauded her performance.
“It’s Lisa’s turn” Annabel said when Marla left
“Yeah” Gideon smiled
It was only three of them that came since Adams and Richard were busy with work
The lights dimmed down and only the stage light was on.
Lisa stood at the entrance and took a deep breath
She took gentle steps forward and the light shown on her reviewing her face
The hall became silent that a sound of a needle dropping down would be heard
Her beauty was captivating
She started her catwalk and every step she took drew their attention. Her composture was perfect and her poses threw the guys off their feet
Gideon stared at her with mouth agape. He is in love with a super model. She is beautiful and good at what she does
When she was done,she turned to leave and the hall shook with applause
Annabel was proud
“Yeah that’s my sister”
Few minutes later,the judges were done with their calculations and the head stood up to announce the results
“Can we give another round of applause to our models”
They clapped
“Okay. The names I’m going to call now will be those that are gonna represent our school in the international competition next week.
I have five names here and please when I call them,celebrate them with cheers okay?”
They agreed
“5th position I have Emma Daniels…They clapped…4th position Sarah Justin…3rd position Diamond Trevor…2nd position I have Marla Diego…They applauded…1st position…she paused
Everywhere was quiet and Lisa’s heart was beating first
“1st position goes to…Lisa Williams…Around of applause for her”
The hall shook with cheers and applause
Lisa was very happy
She walked out and the woman hugged her
The crowd blew ksses at her and Annabel stepped down and hugged her on the stage
“Congratulations love”
“Thanks for believing in me Annie”
They hugged more
Lisa had proved Sarah wrong by winning this.
All that remains now is the main competition
