One of them put her on his shoulder and started walking away.
“Stop”One said and the man halted
“See this pretty lady. Since we’re gonna kill her,why don’t we have a he.ll of fun with her before she dies”He suggested
“Yeah you’re right Scott”Another one agreed
They were six men in all
“So who’s gonna go into her first?”The man holding her asked as he drops her on the floor
“I’ll go first cause it was my idea”Scott said and the rest agreed
“She looks like a vrgin”One of the men said
“She is a vrgin”Scott replied
Immediately he touched her and wanted to unbutton her shirt,a bullet landed on his gr©in causing him to roll on the floor in pains
“What was that?”One of the men asked
Gideon shot bullets at them but not on places where they could die of course. Except the guy that tried touching his Lisa!!! The thought alone made him shoot the man’s leg
He came out of his hiding place and the men rushed at him. He didn’t move as bodyguards came out and surrounded him pointing guns at the other men
“Lower your weapons ingrates”He commanded and they obeyed
He rushed and took Lisa in his arms
He entered the car and sped off to the hospital after calling Adams and Annabel who rushed there too.
Later,the police came and took all six of the kidnappers away for interrogation.

GRACELAND HOSPITAL
Annabel paced to and fro in the waiting room while Gideon sat with his face in his palms. Adams tried calming them down
“Don’t worry she’ll be fine okay?”Adams said
“What do they want from her? Why would they do that?”Annabel sobbed
The doctor came out and Gideon stood up to meet him
“Doctor Joe,How is she?”He was really anxious
“She was drugged but we tried our best and she’s totally fine now”The doctor said
They all sighed in relief
“You can go see her now”Doctor Joseph said and left
They hurried to her ward and Gideon bent down beside her
“How are you feeling now?”He asked her
“I guess I’m fine. What happened?”Lisa asked holding her head
Suddenly the memory of that night came back and she gasped
“Hope they did nothing to me?”She asked,fear written all over her face
“No they didn’t”Gideon said
Annabel sat on the hospital bed
“I’m sorry Lisa”She apologized
“For what?”Lisa asked
“For not being there for you”
“It’s not your fault sis. Things like this are inevitable” Lisa said and Annabel hugged her
“Don’t worry Lisa,I’ll make those hoodlums pay”Adams said
“Thank you Adams. Thank you all for your care especially you Gideon”She smiled at him and he smiled back
He pecked her forehead before leaving the hospital with Adams.

THE POLICE STATION
Adams walked into the station with Gideon and met the inspector general. When he saw them,he greeted
“Good evening Mr Adams and Mr Gideon”
“Evening I.G”Gideon said and they shake hands
“Good evening Inspector. I want to see those criminals”Adams said
“Okay sir. They’re being interrogated but they refused to speak”The inspector led them to the interrogation room
Adams saw the way they were beaten by the policemen but they were too adamant and stubborn to say who sent them.
Gideon’s gaze went to the guy that nearly raped his love and anger flashed in his eyes. He collected a gun from one of the policemen and pointed it at the man
“Tell me why I shouldn’t scatter that big bald head of yours right now”Gideon said
The man moved back in fear. He was in pains and Gideon knew that
“I’ll take you to the hospital and get you treated but you have to tell me who sent you”Gideon said
Adams folded his arms watching everything. He was the one that called Gideon to aasemble the best bodyguards cause of Lisa. But Gideon decided to follow them that night since Lisa was involved.
“I’ll never tell you” Scott said
Gideon smirked and pointed the gun on same place he shot the man before and fear gripped Scott
“Are you ready to talk?”Gideon asked but Scott remained mute
Gideon cracked the gun
“Okay okay I’ll talk”Scott said almost in tears
“Okay I’m listening”Gideon bent to his level cause the man was on his knees
“Charlotte Vegas is the one that sent us”
Gideon stood up
“Charlotte I thought of that”Adams finally spoke up
“What are we gonna do Adams? It’s not going to be easy arresting that witch”Gideon ruffled his hair
“I know so here is what we’re gonna do”Adams beckoned for Gideon to come over and whispered something into his ear
Gideon smiled
“Okay what’s your name?”Gideon asked the man
“Scott” The man replied
“Okay Scott. We’re going to record a little video where you’ll tell us the whole truth. Are you going to cooperate with us?”Gideon said
“Yes”Scott answered
After the video,Adams and Gideon ordered for the man to be treated before leaving the station.

THE NEXT DAY…
CHARLOTTE’S HOUSE
Charlotte threw her phone on the couch in frustration. Viper just called and told her that the mission was a failure and his men have been arrested.
“What do I do now?”She muttered to herself
She picked up her phone again and dialed another guy’s number.
While she sent Viper and his men to kill Lisa,she had also sent Ben(Another hired assassin) to kill Annabel’s father
The call went through
?Hello Ben how did it go?
?Mission failed Charlotte. The security around the house is tight. There’s no way to get close to the old man. He’s untouchable
?Can’t you try at least? I’m sure there’s a way
?There’s no way through
?Then force your way in
Ben laughs
?Those are high level bodyguards Charlotte. Forcing my way in is a suicide mission and I’m not ready to die yet
He hung up
Charlotte was frustrated. She threw the phone on the wall and it smashed to pieces.
Her maids came to check if she was fine
“What are you two doing here? Get out!!! You’re both fired!!!”She yelled
They were very happy she fired them cause they can’t bear living with a monster like her. They happily packed their things and left.
Charlotte was devastated. She has vowed not to rest till Annabel is taken care of and that’s what she’s gonna do.
She called one of her trusted bodyguards
“Peter”She called and he came forward Immediately
“Yes ma”He bowed
“Monitor Annabel’s movements for me. I want you to know if she has any secret bodyguards”
“Okay ma”
“Give me feedback immediately”She ordered
“Yes ma”
“You may go now”
He bowed and left

MR WILLIAMS HOUSE
Lisa has been discharged and was brought home. Gideon stayed for a while before going out for an important appointment.
Alexa and Stephanie came to visit them
“I’m so glad you’re okay Lisa”Alexa said hugging her tight
“You’re gonna rip my throat out if you don’t stop hugging me now”Lisa said
She pulled out
“Oh…I’m sorry. I don’t want Gideon to arrest me too”Alexa said and they laughed
“So how has work been?”Annabel asked
“It isn’t same without you Annie. We really miss you”Stephanie said
“You missed a lot”Alexa said and Stephanie gave her a sign to shut up
“Oh wow. What’d I miss?”
“Office romance between Manager Kim and Stephanie”Alexa said
Stephanie covered her face
Stephanie was a 23 year old lady from a middle class family who was opportuned to be among the top five students that Adams hired. She,Alexa and Annabel were not really close back in school but became friends when they got employed in Adams company.
She’s very beautiful with long hair and cute eyes.
“That’s nice. So when are you too getting married?”Annabel teased and she blushed
Lisa laughs
“Can you imagine she’s blushing”Alexa said
“You girls should stop”She said and they laughed again
“So Annie,you’re gonna be meeting Adams parents today right?”Alexa asked
“Yeah I almost forgot. I better start getting ready”She said
“We’ll help”Lisa,Alexa and Stephanie shouted in unison
“That’ll be great cause I’m nervous”
“Don’t worry. When we’re done with you,His parents will be the nervous ones”Lisa said
“Okay thanks girls”She smiled

ADAMS BUILDING AND DESIGN COMPANY LTD
Adams was in his office preparing to leave and freshen up before picking Annabel when he remembered something.
He ordered the receptionist to call Hailey for him
Minutes later,Hailey walked into the office
“Good evening sir. You sent for me”She said
“Yes. Sit down”He pointed to the chair in front of him and she sat down.
Adams observed her expression for some time and got a hint of anxiety. She was nervous
“Miss Hailey”He called
“Yes sir”She answered
“I want to ask you some questions and I want the truth as your answers”
She became scared but hid her fear
“Okay sir”
“I believe you know Charlotte Eben Vegas right?”
“Yes sir”
“Are you in any way working for her?”
Her heart started thumping hard against her chest
“N…No sir I’m not”She stuttered
“I’ll give you one more chance to admit it. Are you working for her or not?”
“No sir”
Adams smirked
“Look at this picture. Is this not you and her?”He showed her the picture and she froze and broke out in cold sweat
“I…I…I..can…I can explain”
“The picture alone has explained everything Miss Hailey. This is a private company and whatever happens here isn’t allowed to be voiced out outside. Whatever happens here remains here. That’s the rule and you broke it”
“I’m sorry sir”
“When rules are broken,there are consequences”
Hailey went on her knees
“I’m sorry sir. It won’t happen again”
Adams shook his head
“Miss Hailey,your services are no longer needed here so you’re fired”
