MARCUS MANSION*
Katharina sat in Marcus’s living room, admiring the nice furniture and decorations. Marcus came out of his room wearing a white shirt and black pants, looking casual and relaxed.
“Hey” he said with a smile.
Katharina nodded, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the beauty of the house.
“Your home is really nice” he said and Marcus sat down beside her.
“Thanks”
“So what happened earlier? Why were you crying in front of the coffee shop”he asked and Katharina’s eyes dropped, and she fidgeted with her hands.
“It was just a bad day, that’s all”
“Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pry. But if you want to talk about it, I’m here to listen”
“It was just a stupid customer who disrespected me, and my manager took his side. It felt really unfair”
Marcus’s face darkened for a second.
“That sounds awful. You don’t deserve to be treated like that, especially a pretty girl like you”he said and she blushed red.
“Thanks, Marcus. Just being here with you makes me feel better”
“Don’t worry I will make the person who disrespected you pay for it”
“What do you want to do?”
“Just leave it to me”he said and Katharina didn’t argue.
“So, how come you aren’t at the hospital?”
“Don’t I look okay to you right now? I told the doctor to discharge me but he refused,it was until I threatened him with his job before he discharged me. I need to resume back to work and make sure everything is in orderliness” he said.
“Oh,so how did you know where I was?”
“Don’t think I’m sort of a stalker anything? We were passing by on the way home when I saw you in that state crying, and I immediately told Jenkins to stop the car and invite you in”
“Oh thank you”
Marcus’s expression turned serious. “You know, Katharina, I’ve been thinking a lot about what happened at the charity gala”
“You mean the person who shot you?”
“Yes. But thankfully, the police were able to catch the guy and he’s already behind bars according to the report my parents gave me”
“I wonder why the person did that and who sent him”
“Me too. I’m still trying to figure out the motives behind the attack”
“Do you think it was a revenge plot or something?”
“I’m not sure yet, but I’m determined to get to the bottom of it”
“You really should be careful, Marcus”
“I am”
“I’m just grateful you survived it”she said and he smiled.
“I should be on my way now,it’s getting late” she said standing up.
“Oh,let me drive you home then”
“No, don’t bother yourself about that, just take a rest instead”
“You sure?” He asked and she nodded.
“Bye Marcus” she said before leaving the house.
“Gosh what’s happening to me? I never felt this way with any lady after Sophia died,then why with Katharina?” He whispered to himself.
He left the living and headed to Hazel’s room,he met her still sleeping. When he got home this evening with Katharina,he met her sleeping and didn’t want to wake her and now she’s still sleeping.
He went closer to her and he kissed her forehead lightly before he left her room.

ALLURE AGENCY*
Natalie struck a pose, her eyes flirty and her lips pouty. The camera snapped away, capturing her beauty alongside the shirtless male model. After ten minutes, the photographer called out.
“Wrap it up”
As Natalie stepped away from the set, her Agent Rachel approached her, phone in hand.
“Natalie, miss Harper is on the line. She’s been calling nonstop” she said and Natalie rolled her eyes.
“What does she want now?”
“She sounds upset. Maybe you should take the call”Rachel said and Natalie snatched the phone.
“What, Harper? Can’t you see I’m busy?”
“Natalie, I need your help. I’m in trouble”Harper said from the other line.
“Oh, poor Harper. What’s new? You’re always in trouble. Can’t you handle anything on your own for once?”
“Natalie, please…just listen…”she was saying but, Natalie cut her off.
“No, Harper. I don’t have time for your drama. Call someone else to bail you out this time”
With that, Natalie hung up, handing the phone back to Rachel.
“Ugh, that girl is so needy”
“Natalie, you’re being awfully harsh. Maybe you should reconsider….”
“No, Rachel. I don’t get paid to be nice. I get paid to look good and sell products. That’s it”
Just then, the male model flashed her a flirty smile, and Natalie rolled her eyes.
“Ugh, not you too”
Her PA immediately came in, out of breath.
“Miss Natalie, I’m so sorry I’m late! Traffic was a nightmare…”
“What took you so long, Amelia? I needed you here an hour ago!”
“I know, miss Natalie. I’m really sorry. Miss Ruby is outside waiting for you,by the way”
“Ruby? She didn’t tell me she was coming, anyways let me go see her”Natalie said and the left the studio room to go meet Ruby.
She saw Ruby at the lounge area and she went to meet her.
“Hey,why didn’t you tell me you are around?”
“I wanted to surprise you”Ruby said.
“Guess what?”
“What?”
“Harper called me again, whining about being in trouble. I’m so done with her drama”
“That girl. She called me too, asking for help. I didn’t answer, though. I’m not her personal rescue team”
“Same here. I told her to call someone else for once. I mean, can’t she handle anything on her own?”
“Apparently not. Maybe we should start a support group for people who are tired of Harper’s antics” Both girls burst out laughing.
“Let’s forget about Harper for now, How’s it going on with Marcus?” Ruby asked.
“So far so good,his whole family likes me but I have a problem with his daughter, Hazel”
“That little girl shouldn’t be a problem for you,as long as his family likes you then you have no problem”
“That little girl is a witch trust me,I need her to like me so Marcus can start liking me too,that can bring us closer you know”
“So, Natalie, tell me more about your plan to win Hazel over”
“Well, I was thinking of baking those cookies, and then maybe offering to take Hazel out for a fun day, just the two of us. Maybe a trip to the amusement park or the zoo”
“That’s not a bad idea. But Hazel seems like a tough nut to crack from what I’ve heard about her”
“Oh, I’m shaking in my boots. I’ve dealt with tougher critics than a spoiled little girl. I’ll make sure to wear my best smile and my most charming personality. I’ll win her over, no matter what it takes”
“You’re really determined to win her over, aren’t you?”
“Absolutely. I always get what I want, and I want Hazel’s approval. It’s the key to winning Marcus’s heart, and I’ll stop at nothing to get it but there’s a another problem”
“What again?”
Natalie smirked as she thought of Katharina.

AT THE STATION*
Marcus walked into the police station confidently, commanding attention. The officers behind the front desk looked up, their eyes widening slightly as they recognized the billionaire.
“Mr. Marcus,How can we assist you today?” One of them ask.
“I’m here to see the person who shot me”
The officers exchanged a quick glance, then nodded in unison.
“Of course, Mr. Marcus. We’ll take you to him right away”
As they approached the cell, the officers stood aside, allowing Marcus to confront the criminal alone. The man looked up at him with a mixture of anger and fear, but Marcus just gazed at him coldly, his eyes demanding the truth.
“Who sent you?” he asked.
The criminal looked back at him, his eyes blank. He didn’t say a word.
“Who paid you to shoot me? Was it a business rival? A personal enemy?”he asked But the criminal just shook his head, his lips sealed shut.
“You’re not going to get out of here until you tell me what I want to know” he said.
But the criminal just sat there, silent and unmoving.
Marcus sighed and turned to the officers.
“I see we’re not going to get anywhere with this one” he said. “Keep him in solitary until he decides to talk”
The officers nodded and Marcus left there immediately.
Marcus left the police station, with lot of questions in his head. Who was behind the shooting? And why were they so desperate to keep it a secret?
As he walked back to his car, his phone buzzed with a text from Williams.
WILLIAMS: Join me at the bar,let’s flex.
Marcus pocketed his phone and he entered the car heading to the clubhouse,a little fun won’t hurt right?

AT THE BAR*
Marcus pushed open the door to the barhouse. He scanned the room, his eyes adjusting to the dim light, until he spotted Williams waving him over.
“Marcus, my man! Come join the party!” Williams called out , grinning.
Marcus made his way through the crowd, nodding at familiar faces as he went. Williams stood up, clapping him on the back, and gestured to the empty stool beside him.
“What’s the occasion?” Marcus asked, taking a seat and signaling the bartender for a drink.
“No occasion, just celebrating life and your speedy recovery. So, what’s new with you? How’s the recovery going?”
Marcus shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.
“Fine. Still trying to figure out who was behind the shooting”
“Yeah, that was a close call. But you’re safe now. You need to focus on enjoying life, not just working all the time”
“Easy for you to say, Williams. You’re not the one with a business empire to run”he said and Williams chuckled.
“True, but someone’s got to keep you grounded, Marcus. And that someone is me”
“Oh please”
As Marcus continued to chat with Williams, a girl with a revealing dress and a flirtatious smile made her way over to them. Her dress was tight and short, showcasing her curves and drawing attention from the surrounding crowd.
“Hey, handsome. Want to get out of here and party like we mean it?” she asked flirtyly.
“Thank you for the offer, but I’m not interested”
“Aw, come on. I promise I’ll make it worth your while” the girl pressed on.
“I appreciate the offer, but I’m going to have to pass.”
Williams raised an eyebrow, turning to Marcus with a teasing grin.
“What’s wrong with you, bro? She’s offering you a night to remember!”
“I think I’ll have to pass, Williams. I’m not really looking for that kind of thing right now”he said and the girl shrugged.
“Suit yourself, handsome. Maybe next time” She winked and walked away.
“Dude, what’s going on with you? You’re not even flattered?”
Marcus shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.
“I just don’t feel like getting involved in something like that right now, that’s all”
“Dude, what’s gotten into you? You don’t decline offers like that! You’re Marcus, the king of charm and charisma!” Williams said and Marcus chuckled, shaking his head.
“Williams, I’m not really in the mood”
“Not in the mood? You’re always in the mood! What’s going on, man? You’re starting to worry me”
“I’m just not interested, okay? Let’s drop it”
“Suit yourself, but you’re missing out on some serious fun. Wait a minute,don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking”
“Believe whatever you are thinking bro and don’t stress me” Marcus said as he sipped from his drink again.

MARCUS MANSION*
Marcus entered into the house looking a little tipsy. He had intended to only have a few drinks, but Williams had convinced him to take more.
Natalie came down from the stairs in her sexy nightwear and she went to meet him.
“Hey, handsome,Welcome home”
“What of Hazel?”
“She’s in her room sleeping and she has eaten her night food already” Natalie quickly said and Marcus nodded, before sitting down tiredly.
As soon as he sat down, his eyes closed, and he rested his back on the couch. A crazy idea crept into Natalie’s head as she stared at Marcus lips. She began leaning closer and her lips almost touched his when a voice stopped her.
“Don’t! Don’t you dare! Don’t even try it! Just don’t!”
