INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 121 – 130

By Succie Brown.

Adriana continued watching Kristin as she struggled to breathe. All she wanted was for Kristin to suffocate in the water and die; then she wouldn’t have anyone to compete with for Richard’s love.

But her plans fell apart when Richard rushed past her and jumped into the pool to save Kristin.

Her face twisted into a frown as she watched her plans unravel. As Richard helped Kristin out of the water, Adriana clenched her fists.

“Are you alright, Forevermore?” Richard asked worriedly.

Kristin nodded, coughing hard. With a cold demeanor in his eyes, Richard turned to face Adriana.

For a brief moment, Adriana was sure her heart twisted in fear, seeing the cold look in his eyes.

“Why were you standing there, watching my wife drown?!” His voice was menacing, his eyes darkening like those of a devil.

Adriana trembled, unsure of what to say. Right now, she was terrified of Richard.

“She didn’t intentionally push me, Mr. Grouchy. She tripped and accidentally knocked me into the pool,” Kristin defended Adriana, unaware of her devilish plot to kill her.

Seeing that Kristin was unaware of her intentions, Adriana quickly found her voice.

“Kristin is telling the truth. I didn’t mean to push her. It wasn’t intentional,” Adriana said, feigning innocence.

Richard angrily grabbed her by the neck, and Adriana became frightened.

“You didn’t mean to push her, yet you stood there watching my wife struggle in the pool! She could have drowned!” Richard yelled.

Adriana tried her hardest to pry Richard’s hand from her neck, but his grip remained firm.

“I didn’t know how to swim,” Adriana struggled to say.

“The least you could have done was call for help! Instead, you just stood there, watching her struggle!” Richard raged again.

Adriana was fortunate that Richard hadn’t seen her facial expression while Kristin struggled in the pool; otherwise, she would have been finished.

“What the heck are you doing to my daughter?!” Ophelia raged as she approached them.

Richard reluctantly let go of Adriana, and she rushed to hug her mother, putting on an innocent facade.

“Mom,” Adriana sniffled, hugging her tightly.

It was the pool area, so only the four of them were present. The rest of the guests, including Julio, were at the party.

Ophelia had come looking for Adriana to introduce her to some friends and found Richard strangling her.

Ophelia broke the hug and threw a hateful glare at Richard. “Are you jealous that we found our daughter? Is that why you’re trying to kill her?” Ophelia shouted.

“You’d better watch your mouth before I do it for you, Ophelia! She truly is your daughter, because she shares the same evil mindset as you! My wife was drowning in the pool, and instead of calling for help, she just stood there watching her struggle!” Richard fumed.

Kristin could tell he was trying to control his anger, which is why she remained silent. The old Richard, with his temper issues, would have dealt with Adriana long before Ophelia could intervene.

“Is she supposed to be your wife’s nanny? No one asked her to fall into the pool!”

“And who caused it? She pushed my wife into the pool!”

“I didn’t mean to,” Adriana said, pretending to be innocent.

“You heard her, right? My daughter didn’t mean to push your so-called wife into the pool!
