CHAPTER 97&98

“Tabitha?” Richard asked over the phone, his eyebrows furrowing at the mention of her name.
“Yes,” Adriana answered, her voice sounding low, as if she feared what she was about to say.
“What should I know about Tabitha?” Richard asked.
“She is….” Adriana’s words hung in her mouth the moment she remembered what kind of monster Tabitha was.
“Adriana?” Richard called her name, checking if she was still on the line.
Adriana swallowed again, her hands shaking from nervousness.
“Well, I… I… I just wanted to ask how she is,” Adriana said, biting her lips afterward, unable to spill the beans.
“You already told me she tricked me into believing she was suffering from amnesia, and you dare to call me just to ask about her?” Richard asked, sounding angry.
“I just…”
“Keep your words to yourself, Adriana.”
“Richard, please, I…”
Richard hung up before she could express what she had to say.
Adriana ran her hands through her hair in frustration.
“Why couldn’t you do it, Adriana? You should’ve tried to help the man you claim to love.” Adriana bit her lower lip hard and sat on the bed.
“Tabitha isn’t human,” Adriana muttered to herself as her mind flashed back to twenty years ago, the day she was kidnapped by Tabitha, also known as Paulina.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 161 – 170
**FLASHBACK, TWENTY YEARS AGO**
Little Adriana held Julio’s hand with a smile on her face as they walked around the mall. She had a bow tie ribbon on her head, and she looked extremely cute in her elegant Snow White dress.
“Daddy, are you also going to get me the toys you promised?” her smiling voice asked.
“Of course I will, Adriana. Daddy always keeps his promises,” Julio replied, and she grinned.
Julio got a call and answered it. He began talking to his business partner on the phone while he walked inside the mall with Adriana, who was still holding his hand.
She then saw a group of teenagers dancing. She had always been a fan of hip hop music and dance, so she let go of Julio’s hand to watch the teenagers dance.
Engrossed in the call, Julio was unaware that Adriana was no longer holding his hand and continued walking.
Adriana kept grinning and clapping her hands as she was entertained by the teenagers who were dancing.
When the dance ended, she turned around but couldn’t find Julio.
“Daddy?” Adriana muttered, looking around for Julio until she bumped into Tabitha, who had a huge hat covering her head, along with dark gloves and shades.
She took off the shades and beamed a nice smile at Adriana.
“Are you looking for your daddy?” she asked, and Adriana nodded, her eyes welling with tears.
“I’m going to take you to your daddy. He left because he had something to do.”
“Are you sure?” Adriana asked.
“I’m sure of it, Adriana,” Tabitha said, giving a warm smile that made Adriana believe her.
“Take me to my daddy,” she said.
Tabitha held her little hand, and before leaving, she handed an envelope to a man.
“Make sure they don’t see me leaving with her on the CCTV cameras,” she whispered into the man’s ear, and the man nodded.
“Let’s go, Adriana.” She smiled warmly at her again. Thinking she was nice, Adriana smiled back.
Adriana only realized she was not nice when she was brought to the underground bunker.
“This isn’t my house. You said you’d bring me home!”
