A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 111 – 120

On impulse, I grabbed his collar, pulling him close. He looked at me in surprise, but before he could react, the door opened, and Lucifer stepped inside.

I pressed my lips to Lucien’s, my gaze fixed on Lucifer as he took in the scene. His expression darkened, and Lucien quickly pushed me back, clearing his throat as he stepped away from the bed.

“Get out,” Lucifer ordered, his voice laced with ice.

Lucien didn’t question him, slipping out of the room and closing the door behind him. Now, Lucifer’s attention was solely on me. He stepped closer, a dangerous glint in his eyes. “What do you think you’re doing?”

I forced myself to look up at him, defiant. “Am I not allowed to kiss someone else? Do you think you own my body too?”

His jaw tightened. “Do you want every man you touch to end up dead?”

“Then you should probably kill Lucien too,” I replied, voice cold, meeting his gaze head-on.

Lucifer’s eyes narrowed, and a dangerous smile tugged at his lips as he took a step closer.

I didn’t flinch, even though every instinct screamed at me to look away. But that would mean giving him the satisfaction, and I wasn’t about to hand him that victory.

“You think you’re untouchable, Selene,” he said, his voice a low, chilling whisper. “That you can do whatever you please under my roof.”

A bitter laugh escaped me. “Under your roof?” I echoed, shaking my head. “You dragged me here. I didn’t ask to be your captive. You keep me here like a pet, pulling strings like I’m some little puppet.”

He tilted his head, unfazed. “You might not be here by choice, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re here now. And everything under this roof obeys me.”

I crossed my arms, getting off the bed, feeling my anger burn away the last of the weakness lingering in my body. “You want obedience? Go find someone else, because I’ll never give you what you want. You may hold me here, but you will never own me.”

“Is that so?” His voice was calm, like the lull before a storm. “You think defiance makes you strong, don’t you? A little rebellion to make yourself feel powerful?”

“Powerful?” I spat, my voice laced with disdain. “No. It just reminds me that there’s still a piece of me left that you haven’t tainted. And you hate it, don’t you? That I won’t crumble for you. That I won’t play the meek little servant you want.”

His eyes darkened further, though he gave me that same, dangerous smile. “You assume I want you to be meek. But I prefer you like this, with fire in your eyes. It’s entertaining.”

“Entertaining?” I couldn’t believe him. “Is that all I am to you? A game? Something to pass the time?”

His silence was answer enough. He just watched me, his gaze unnervingly steady, as if studying every expression, every flicker of emotion I showed.

It was infuriating, like he was dissecting me, peeling back layers to expose every vulnerability. I’d be damned if I let him see anything I didn’t want him to.

“So, I’m your entertainment now? Well, if that’s the case, I hope you’re enjoying yourself. I’ll make sure to keep things… interesting for you,” I sneered.

He smirked. “You already do, Selene.”

I clenched my fists. “You’re vile, you know that? You act like a god, like everyone around you exists only to serve your whims. But you’re no god, Lucifer. You’re just… hollow. Empty.”

A flicker of something passed over his face, too fast for me to catch. “Careful, Selene,” he warned softly, his voice almost a purr. “Words like that can have consequences.”

“Then punish me,” I challenged, taking a step closer. “Go ahead. Do whatever it is you’re so eager to do. Kill me, lock me away, whatever it takes to satisfy that twisted sense of control you have.

But I’ll tell you this now—I will never stop fighting you. Every time you try to beat me down, I’ll come back with twice the fire.”
