A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 121 – 130

Her face was mere inches from mine, and I lifted myself slightly, moving in close enough that her gaze flickered uncertainly between my eyes and my lips. “Your time is ticking, Selene.

Soon… very soon, you’ll find yourself under me,” I whispered, my lips brushing the sensitive skin just below her ear, feeling her entire body tense in response. “And you’ll be moaning my name.”

A beautiful flush crept up her cheeks, the heat in her expression undeniable.

She wanted to look defiant, unbothered, but I could see the truth flickering in her eyes, in the way her lips parted, searching for words.

This was new to her—a kind of desire she wasn’t ready to understand or accept. But she couldn’t fight what was inevitable.

“Lucifer, you can’t just… you can’t talk like this,” she said, her voice a strained whisper, almost pleading, yet without the strength to pull away from me. “You’re manipulating this.”

“Am I?” I tilted my head, studying her with a mix of curiosity and amusement. “Or maybe I’m just being honest.”

A part of me knew I was pushing her boundaries, but it thrilled me to watch her reactions. There was so much more I wanted to do—so much more I could teach her. If only she’d let herself embrace it.

Her breathing was uneven now, her gaze drifting to my mouth as if some part of her had surrendered to the moment.

I let the silence hang between us, let her mind wander down paths she wasn’t prepared for. And then, to test her resolve, I let my hand slide even lower, pressing her against me.

“Do you want me to stop?” I whispered, watching her face, the tension clear in her clenched jaw, the faint tremor in her lips.

She hesitated, and that was all the confirmation I needed.

I felt a grin stretch across my face as I leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek. She looked at me, confusion flickering in her eyes, but I ignored it, slowly lowering her back down onto the bed, keeping my touch careful yet firm. “Sleep,” I murmured, watching her expression as I shifted my body down beside her. “It’s going to be a long flight.”

She looked like she wanted to protest, her gaze filled with questions, but I closed my eyes and settled into the seat, signaling that the discussion was over.

There was so much she didn’t understand, and right now, that was for the best. I needed to focus.

My recent journey to Hell had been… enlightening. Gabriel had made sure of that. The things I’d seen were worse than I expected.

The legions of demons I’d controlled were restless, angrier than ever, and some had broken free, fueled by rumors that I had weakened. They believed they could come after me, that they stood a chance.

Normally, their arrogance would amuse me, but this time was different. If they even thought of going near Selene…

I clenched my fist, resisting the urge to smash something. Those demons wouldn’t hesitate to kill her, and human fragility was all too real.

Hours passed, and when I finally opened my eyes, the dim glow of the plane lights illuminated her as she slept.

She looked peaceful, her red hair spilling over the pillow, framing her delicate features in a way that made her look almost ethereal.

Her lips were a soft, natural red, her nose a gentle curve, and her skin flawless. I knew I had made the right choice in bringing her into my life, even though a part of me wrestled with the implications.

She was beautiful—unbelievably so. She was fragile, but I had to keep her safe. Humans like her were rare, and if anything happened to her… no, I wouldn’t allow it.

A soft jolt ran through the cabin as the plane landed, and I watched her slowly blink awake, her eyes half-lidded and slightly red from sleep. She sat up, stretching, and I took that moment to lean in close, pressing another kiss to her cheek. “You’re awake,” I murmured, a quiet satisfaction in my voice. “Let’s go?”

She shot me a confused look, but I could see the faint blush creeping into her cheeks.
