A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 131 – 140
“Selene,” he murmured against my lips, his voice rough, barely controlled. “Do you have any idea what you do to me?”
I didn’t answer. Words felt too small, too fragile to hold the weight of everything I was feeling. Instead, I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer, hoping he could feel the answer in my kiss.
He pulled back just enough to look at me, his gaze empty, with no emotions and his words did not match that. “You could destroy me,” he whispered, his voice raw, vulnerable in a way I’d never heard from him before. “And I would let you.” I had no way to know if he is lying or not
But then his lips were on mine again, and my fear melted away, lost in the warmth of his touch, the possessive way his hands held me close. Every kiss was a promise, every caress an admission of things I dared not to say out loud.
His lips left mine, trailing down my jaw to the sensitive spot just beneath my ear, sending shivers through me. I gasped, my fingers tightening on his shoulders as he placed soft, lingering kisses along my neck. Each touch felt like it was marking me, claiming me in a way that left no room for doubt.
“You’re mine, Selene,” he whispered against my skin, his voice a low growl that sent a thrill through me. “Say it.”
The command was gentle, almost pleading, and as I looked into his eyes, I knew I couldn’t deny him. “I’m yours,” I breathed, feeling the truth of it settle deep within me.
His lips found mine again, and this time, the kiss was slower, deeper, as if he was savoring every moment. I felt him smile against my lips, a smile that left me breathless.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against mine, our breaths mingling in the silence that settled between us. His hand moved to cup my face, his thumb brushing gently along my cheek. “i will make you mine,” he said softly ” tonight”
I looked up at him, my heart racing, my thoughts a blur. ” Don’t think you can touch me” I whispered, barely able to believe the words coming out of my own mouth. After what I let him do.
He leaned in, pressing one last, lingering kiss to my lips, ” so stubborn” he smiled

CRIES OF DECEPTION 1
LUCIEN FROWN.
I shouldn’t have been standing there, watching them. But the door had been left open, and I’d been returning to my quarters when I caught sight of them. I stopped in my tracks, torn between loyalty and something sharper, something I didn’t want to name.
Lucifer held her in his arms, his lips pressed softly against hers, a rare gentleness in his touch that I’d only ever seen when he looked at her. His thumb stroked her cheek as he tilted her face up, coaxing her closer, oblivious or perhaps uncaring that anyone might be watching.
My hands balled into fists at my sides, muscles tensing as if every fiber of my being was braced to pull her from his grasp. She trusted him, saw only the face he chose to show her, unaware of the depths he kept hidden—the ruthlessness, the schemes always weaving behind that cool gaze. And yet, here she was, leaning into his touch like he was the only safe place she’d ever known.
They broke apart, her cheeks flushed, eyes a little dazed, like he’d stolen the breath from her. It should have ended there, but the intensity in Lucifer’s eyes said otherwise. He wasn’t finished with her. And I couldn’t stand by any longer.
Clearing my throat, I took a step forward, making my presence known. They both turned, Selene blinking in surprise, but Lucifer’s expression shifted to something darker, guarded. His gaze swept over me with the faintest flicker of annoyance.
“Lucien,” he said, his tone as smooth and casual as ever, but I could see the edge in his eyes. “Did you need something?”
“Forgive me for interrupting,” I began, keeping my voice steady. “I wished to speak with you… privately.”
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed slightly, the weight of his gaze settling on me as if he were dissecting my intent. But after a beat, he released Selene, his hand lingering just a moment longer on her shoulder. She looked between us, a question in her eyes, but she didn’t ask.
“Wait here,” he told her softly, then turned his attention back to me. “Very well, Lucien. Let’s talk.”
I led him down the hall, away from her, not stopping until we reached the small antechamber at the end. Closing the door behind us, I faced him, letting the silence stretch between us before speaking.
“Have you thought this through?” I asked, careful to keep my tone respectful but firm. “What you’re doing with her… what are your intentions?”
His expression hardened, the amusement fading from his eyes. “Are you questioning me, Lucien?”
I held his gaze, the weight of his words pressing on me, but I couldn’t back down now. “I’m concerned, my lord. Selene… she doesn’t know the things you’re capable of. And she certainly doesn’t understand what you might intend to do with her.”
