A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 201 – 210
THE DEVIL’S CHILD 3
LUCIFER FROWN.
I stepped into Selene’s room, my heart pounding with a mix of urgency and dread. The air was thick with an unsettling energy that prickled at my skin.
I scanned the space, my eyes darting from the barren walls to the rickety bed. But it was the emptiness that struck me hardest—Selene was gone.
The realization hit me like a punch to the gut. I didn’t sit around to contemplate my next move; there was no time for hesitation.
I could feel the dark tendrils of magic in the air, the unmistakable signature of the demon who had taken her. Rage coursed through my veins as I focused my energy, summoning the power that thrummed within me.
In an instant, I was transported to the forest where I knew the demon would be lurking. I materialized amidst the trees, the scent of damp earth and pine filling my lungs.
The shadows twisted and danced around me, but my focus was unwavering. I would find Selene, and I would make that demon pay for what he had done.
As I stepped deeper into the woods, my senses heightened. The forest was alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and distant animals, but there was an unnatural stillness that sent a chill down my spine.
I felt it before I saw him—an energy that felt familiar, but twisted in a way that made my blood run cold.
There he was: a figure standing just beyond the tree line, a Liam lookalike. I knew instantly that this was no coincidence.
I stepped forward, my gaze locked onto his, and with a flick of my wrist, I cast a spell to reveal his true face.
The air shimmered around him, and the illusion fell away like a mask. What stood before me was Diego, his burnt skin a testament to the battles he had fought and the loyalties he had forged. His eyes, however, betrayed his loyalty and fear.
“Lucifer!” he gasped, falling to his knees before me. “It’s truly you. I can’t believe I’m seeing you.”
“Get up,” I commanded, though my voice was a low growl. “Where is she? Where is Selene?”
Diego’s expression shifted from reverence to determination. He shook his head slowly, the weight of my question hanging heavily in the air ” she….she is save” he stammered
A surge of anger pulsed through me. “where is she!!!!” My fists clenched at my sides, the urge to unleash my fury overwhelming. “speak before I end you ”
“i am protecting the child” Diego said, his voice barely above a whisper. “your child”
The mention of a child pulled me up short. My child—Selene is pregnant? That shouldn’t happen, it will only put her life in harms way, I need to find her, to get rid of that thing.
“What do you mean?” I demanded, but the fear in Diego’s eyes told me everything.
“I… I have been keeping watch over her,” he said, his voice trembling. “When I realized she was in danger, I made it my mission to protect her. I can’t let them harm the child, Lucifer. It’s too important.”
“Important?” I echoed, my rage boiling over. “how dare you touch what’s mine in the name of protecting, who do you think you are!!!!”
I stepped forward, my hand reaching out to grab his neck, the anger coursing through me like a wildfire. “ you step into my home, take my woman and tried to kill her???” I hissed, squeezing tighter as I felt his pulse beneath my fingers. “You bastard!!!!”
I couldn’t control my strength, I slowly watch his head burst, blood splashing all over me, I watch his headless body drop before looking around.
Finding selene is my first priority and then getting rid of that thing called a child, I won’t lose Selene.
