A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 221 – 230

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 1

SELENE SMILED.

Lucifer’s smile was infectious as he pulled me into a warm embrace, wrapping his arms around me with a tenderness that sent a rush of comfort through my veins.

I nestled against him, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against my cheek. In that moment, the weight of the world slipped away, leaving just the two of us cocooned in our little bubble of warmth and safety.

“Do you realize how ridiculous you are?” I teased, pulling back slightly to look into his eyes. “You’re like a walking contradiction—part devil, part teddy bear.”

He chuckled softly, the sound vibrating through me. “Guilty as charged. But can you blame me? You bring out a softer side that even I didn’t know existed.”

I smiled, feeling my heart swell at his words. “Well, I’m glad to be of service. You definitely need more softness in your life.”

We settled back into the pillows, the quiet of the room wrapping around us like a comforting blanket.

The evening unfolded with ease as we began to talk about silly things— mostly my childhood memories, ridiculous moments from my pasts, and even the absurdities of the supernatural world he inhabited.

We continued to share stories and laughter, the hours slipping away unnoticed. It felt so good to be close to him, to share these moments of lightness amidst the chaos that often surrounded us.

Even if knowing I might die giving birth to this child, am willing to risk it… I can’t kill our child, he just have to know that ” Lucifer ” he look down at me and I smile

” I love you so much” I move closer ” I will never break your heart, this child, our child… Will heal you ”

” Selene ”

” Trust me on this” a smile creep into my face ” we will hm find a way, we have none months, nine months to save my life and my child’s”

” Only my father can save you Selene ”

” Then we will ask for his help, he will help us ”

” Only for a price Selene” he frown ” always for a price ”

” I trust you, you will find a way ” I rest my head on his shoulder ” tell me more stories of your childhood”

Eventually, the conversation began to slow as fatigue settled in. I felt my eyelids grow heavy, and as I nestled deeper into his embrace, I could feel myself drifting off.

When I woke up, the room was cloaked in darkness, the only light coming from the moon filtering through the curtains. I blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep that clung to me like a heavy fog. A glance at the clock on the bedside table told me it was late at night, and I felt a sudden jolt of anxiety.

Where was Lucifer? Had I slept for too long?

As I pushed myself up, I noticed something draped over the chair in the corner—a beautiful dress that shimmered in the low light. Intrigued, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, the cool floor sending a shiver up my spine. I crossed the room to investigate, and as I picked up the dress, a note fluttered to the ground.

It read:

*Selene,*

*Get ready. I have a surprise for you tonight. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it.*

*—Lucifer*

A thrill coursed through me at the thought of a surprise, and I couldn’t help but smile. I quickly got ready, slipping into the soft fabric of the dress.

It hugged my curves perfectly, the deep blue color accentuating my skin tone and making my eyes pop. I felt beautiful, and as I glanced in the mirror, I applied a touch of makeup—just enough to enhance my features without feeling overdone.

With a last look at myself, I headed downstairs, my heart racing with excitement and anticipation. The grand staircase spiraled down into the foyer, and as I reached the bottom, I paused. The soft glow of lights illuminated the space, casting a warm ambiance that felt almost magical.

“Lucifer?” I called out, my voice echoing slightly in the stillness.

He appeared from the shadows, dressed impeccably in a tailored suit that only he could pull off. The fabric hugged his frame perfectly, his sharp jawline accentuated by the soft light.
