A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 221 – 230
I couldn’t help but feel a rush of admiration and affection as I took in the sight of him.
“Wow, you clean up nicely,” I said, a teasing smile playing on my lips.
He turned, his expression lighting up at the sight of me. “And you, my dear, look absolutely stunning,” he replied, his voice smooth and sincere. “You’re going to steal the show tonight.”
I felt a blush creep into my cheeks at his compliment. “Thank you! But you know I’m just here to keep you company.”
“Let’s not downplay your beauty,” he insisted, stepping closer. “You were always meant to shine.”
There was something intoxicating about the way he looked at me, as if I were the only person in the world. I felt my heart race as he extended his arm, a gesture that felt both elegant and intimate. “Shall we?”
“Lead the way,” I said, slipping my hand into the crook of his arm.
As we stepped outside, the cool night air enveloped us. The stars twinkled above like diamonds scattered across black velvet, and the city lights of New York glimmered in the distance. I took a deep breath, the excitement bubbling inside me as we walked toward the waiting car.
“Where are we going?” I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.
“You’ll see,” he replied with a mischievous grin, opening the door to the sleek black limousine.
I climbed in, feeling a rush of thrill as the door closed behind us. The interior was luxurious, with soft leather seats and ambient lighting that created an intimate atmosphere. I could hardly contain my excitement as the car began to move, gliding smoothly through the streets of the city.
“Is this a special occasion?” I asked, turning to face him, my heart racing.
“Every moment with you is special,” he replied, his gaze unwavering. “But tonight, I wanted to do something memorable—something to celebrate you.”
“Me?” I echoed, a mix of surprise and delight washing over me.
“Absolutely,” he said, leaning closer, his eyes sparkling. “i have not taken you on any date yet”
As the car wound its way through the city, I felt a warmth spread through my chest. “You really are full of surprises, aren’t you?”
“Only for you,” he said, his voice low and sincere. “I want to show you how much you mean to me.”
The car finally came to a stop outside a stunning restaurant, its exterior elegant and inviting. “We’re here,” he announced, a satisfied grin on his face.
We stepped out into the night, and I couldn’t help but stare in awe at the restaurant’s grandeur. The entrance was adorned with soft golden lights, and the sound of laughter and clinking glasses floated through the air. It felt like a scene straight out of a movie.
“Shall we?” Lucifer asked, offering his arm again.
I took it, feeling a thrill of excitement as we entered the restaurant. The interior was just as beautiful, with plush seating and rich décor that exuded sophistication. We were led to a private table in a cozy corner, the ambiance perfect for an intimate evening.
