A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 241 – THE END

The doctors watched, their expressions softening as they witnessed the bond between mother and child. I could hardly believe it; after everything I had endured, I had a daughter.

But then, the thought struck me like a lightning bolt. “Lucifer?” I gasped, looking around the room, searching for him. “Where is he? Where is Lucifer?”

My gaze moved to Lucien, who stood at the edge of the room, his face a mixture of concern and confusion. “Lucifer is… he’s not here right now,” he said slowly, his eyes avoiding mine.

My heart sank. “What do you mean he’s not here? He was supposed to be with me! I need him!”

“Selene…” Lucien began, but I cut him off, my voice rising in panic.

“No! I need to see him! He told me he would be here!” I clutched my baby closer, the realization that I was alone hitting me like a punch to the gut. “What happened? Where is he?”

Lucien stepped closer, his expression serious. “I don’t know the details, but… there was a lot of chaos. He made a deal, Selene. A deal to bring you back.”

“A deal?” I echoed, my mind racing. “What kind of deal? What did he have to give up?”

Lucien hesitated, and I could see the weight of his words pressing on him. “He’s… he’s in Hell now. He made a sacrifice for you and the baby.”

I felt the air leave my lungs as the reality of his words sunk in. “No! He can’t be in Hell! Not after everything!”

“Yes,” Lucien replied, his voice steady. “He really love you, to think the devil is capable of love.”

Tears streamed down my face as I held my daughter tighter. “But I need him here! I can’t do this without him!”

The doctors exchanged glances, their expressions sympathetic but firm. “You need to focus on your health and your baby right now,” one of them said gently. “Lucifer will find a way back. Am sure your husband will return ”

The room felt both foreign and familiar, a cocoon of sterile white that contrasted sharply with the chaos of emotions swirling within me.

I held my baby, Hope, cradled against my chest, and the weight of reality began to settle in.

Lucifer was gone—sacrificed himself to bring me back, to ensure our daughter had a chance at life. The realization sent a pang of grief through me, sharp and unrelenting.

As I looked down at my daughter’s tiny face, I felt a flicker of hope ignite within my heart. She was breathing, alive, and that was all because of Lucifer’s love.

He had made an unimaginable sacrifice, and for that, I would forever be grateful.

But the ache of his absence was profound. How could he leave me like this? How could he make a deal that cost him so much? I felt torn between the joy of motherhood and the sorrow of losing the man I loved.

The night stretched on, the room dimming as the sun dipped below the horizon. I settled into the small bed, exhaustion began to pull at me. I lay there, cradling her, and slowly, sleep took hold.

I drifted in and out of dreams, the lines between reality and imagination blurring as the darkness enveloped me.

And then, in the depths of my slumber, a light began to shimmer, illuminating the shadows. I found myself standing in a vast expanse, the air shimmering with an ethereal glow. It felt like a dream but also like something more—a connection to a world beyond my own.

In the distance, I saw a figure standing beneath a canopy of stars. My heart raced as I recognized him instantly.

It was Lucifer, his presence radiating warmth and love, as if the universe itself conspired to bring us together in this moment.

“Lucifer!” I called out, my voice echoing in the stillness. I ran toward him, tears streaming down my cheeks. He stood there, arms open wide, waiting for me.
