The Crown Prince sat watching the shocked expression on Mulan’s face, as she tried to understand what was really going on.
Then finally she opened her lips slowly to speak.
“I–I don’t understand what you’re trying–to-to say”. Mulan stuttered in confusion and the Crown Prince sighed giving her a straight look.
“I hate repeating myself. But let me go straight to the point. Will you accept me as your mate, Yes or No?”. The Crown Prince asked giving Mulan a stern gaze and she blinked profusely.
“I still have two months left to—
“Is that a No?”. The Crown Prince cut her off in a deep threatening voice and Mulan only kept quiet.
“The moon goddess told me I can chose whoever—
“No. She just said that so you could feel free, but You and I along with the moon goddess knows there’s no one for you aside for me”. The Crown Prince sneered.
“How sure are you—
“You’re stressing this. Is it a Yes or a No?!”. The Crown Prince snapped loudly and a loud thunder broke outside, which made Mulan flinched fearfully as she glanced at the Crown Prince with widened eyes.
“Will you strike me with lightening if I say no?”. Mulan asked in daze and the Crown Prince’s gaze on her turned into a glare.
“Do you dare to say no?”. He asked back in a deep rumbling voice and Mulan gulped down nothing fearfully.
“I have nothing to offer you. I won’t dare to be mated to a Crown Prince, when I know fully well I’m not up to his league.
I’ll find a man of my status, and not someone that will send the thunder to me if I don’t agree with him”. Mulan replied with shaking hands as she turned to the door, she was already walking towards it.
But a creepy grin from the Crown Prince made her stop on her track with shaky legs.
“So we’re going with locking you up then”. Mulan heard the Crown Prince grunt from behind and her eyes widened as she turned to him.
“Nobody forces you to make decisions you don’t want to take, so what makes you think you can force others?!”. Mulan snapped at him and he frowned at her.
But then he sighed as he beakoned on her to move closer, which she slowly did.
“Bend to my level, so we talk clearly”. The Crown Prince further requested and Mulan instead looked for a chair and sat opposite him and the Crown Prince eyed her for a second, before speaking.
“Tell me why you don’t want me as a mate”. The Crown Prince said and Mulan bit her lower lip as she leaned closer on her seat.
“I can be sincere right?”. Mulan asked and the Crown Prince nodded and she smiled, before clearing her throat.
“First of all, I already grew up in a palace and I know how life is there so of course I don’t wish to marry a royal, and even if he’s to be a royal, maybe a runaway Prince like me. Not a Crown or First Prince who might likely take over the throne.
Secondly I want someone I can call names. Like if he acts dumb sometimes, I can lightheartedly call him ‘Fool!’”. Mulan said and the Crown Prince frowned at her statement, which made her pause a little bit.
“But it’s not possible with a domineering person like you. But I can compromise though, after all you’re good looking enough for me”. Mulan mumbled trying to lighten the tension and the Crown Prince’s frown on her lessened which made her a heave a sigh of relief, as she continued.
