“You met a group of executionist outside beheading some servants on your way here didn’t you?”. The Emperor asked calmly as he stared at Sky.
“I did. The servants getting beheaded were very much—
“I didn’t behead the gossipers because they promised to mind their business as from on. I had men behead only those who went as far as running out of the Palace gates just to spread the news to the people, I beheaded the fools who made everyone tag my redflower as ‘Mad’”. The Emperor uttered and Sky only stared like an emotionless rock with his head bowed.
“But you know what makes me angry the most? The fact that I still haven’t killed the one who started this whole gossip to begin with”. The Emperor muttered as he glared darkly at Sky who instantly went on his knees, his head still bowed.
“It’s my fault your Majesty! I told her right in front of many people so the servants ended up hearing what I said!”. Sky apologized and the Emperor let out a creepy smile, as he walked back to his seat.
“You and Red flower are the only reason why I put up with that blabber mouth’s shortcomings. She has been sent away from the palace to your family mansion to learn some manners”. The Emperor said and Sky’s eyes widened instantly.
“Betas are known to be extremely strict because they were raised to serve Alphas and so they don’t condone any little mistake.
I’ve learnt from them from my mother’s relatives while growing up. Let her receive such discipline. And she’s not to return here if she’s still as wild as she currently is”. The Emperor added and Sky bowed more.
“Thank you for sparing her love once again your majesty!!”. Sky said.
“Leave, I need those physicians lined and ready first thing in the morning”. The Emperor said as he walked back to his seat and Sky bowed once more before getting up and leaving.
‘My family are more hostile to Omegas. Mira won’t be able to survive there’. Sky thought as he left.
The Emperor was still going through his scroll when he said he came across a scroll with the minister of law’s seal on it and opened it to read.
In the scroll the Minister politely requested for an urgent court meeting and the Emperor didn’t need anyone to tell him who it concerned.
Suddenly the door opened slowly and he glanced at it only to see Mulan, looking sideways as she tiptoed to his bookshelf, looking seriously for something.
“Baby. Baby where are you? Come to mummy”. Mulan called in a whisper as she looked around his bookshelf ignoring his presence and the Crown Prince blinked puzzly.
‘How did she come out?’. He thought to himself as he stood up, then a knock came on the door which he opened and instantly two soldiers bowed when they saw him.
“We’re sorry for disturbing you your majesty. The maids in charge of feeding the Empress reported to us that she escaped the room while they were feeding her, and so…we just came to ask if she’s in here because this is the only chamber we haven’t checked yet”. One of the soldiers asked while trying so hard not to stutter and annoy the Emperor.
But seeing how quiet the Emperor was to their question they both went on their knees.
“We deserve death for negligence you majesty”. They both chorused.
“Leave she’s in here with me”. The Emperor said before shutting back the door and the guards instantly bowed before rushing back to their post.
“You’re coming out? Do you want me to find you myself?”. Mulan whispered as she headed to the back of the bookshelf but she suddenly lost her balance and hit her hand roughly on the shelf and instantly it began falling towards her.
But before it could fall completely on her, Ocean pushed it back to balance and grabbed her wrist taking her away from there and she clapped happily.
