Seeing Mulan in this predicament only hurt deep into his soul. It was a pain worst than any pain he had experienced before and the fact that he was partly the cause of it only ate him.
‘I’m done seeing you in pains. Even if it’s the moon goddess, she has no right to hurt you. I’ll see to that’. Ocean thought as he stared passionately at Mulan.
“Let’s go”. He muttered his eyes still bloodshot and Mulan got up instantly opening her room door for him to go in.
“Come in. My baby’s sleeping so be quiet and don’t wake him”. Mulan said as she took Ocean’s hand while leading him into her chamber.
Ocean walked into the room and Mulan led him into the inner room to sit on her bed, and his gaze followed her every movement as he watched her scurry to the water jar beside her makeup mirror to pour him a glass of water.
Then she walked to him and handed it over to him with a smile.
“So since my name is Mira—
“Mulan”. Ocean corrected as held the glass of water in his hand and Mulan blinked.
“Mu-Lan! That’s my name? It’s sounds too serious”. Mulan muttered scratching her hair lightly in confusion and Ocean smiled adjusting her hair softly.
“Mulan means bravery and strength”. He explained and Mulan nodded in astonishment.
“I knew it was a serious name. What about your name?”. Mulan asked curiously.
“Ocean. Meaning Depth and Power”. He replied and Mulan smiled, while Ocean looked around.
“I haven’t seen the baby yet”. Ocean muttered and Mulan frowned at him.
“Are you dumb? He’s unborn! He’s still growing in my womb!”. Mulan shook head as she walked to sit in front of her mirror and picked a comb to comb her hair and Ocean sat staring at her.
“Do you know as long as a mother can sleep peacefully her unborn baby also can. So I need to comb my hair so it doesn’t disturb I and my baby at night”. Mulan said smiling as she combed even though she didn’t get the heng of it as she only tangled her hair more.
‘Is her mental health issue also linked with curse? It only means the curse wasn’t actually directed to me but red flower. The moon goddess actually knows nothing hurts me more than seeing her in pains’. Ocean thought as he slowly stood up and went behind Mulan to take the comb from her hand.
“Let me help you with it”. Ocean requested as he began combing her hair softly like it would break and hurt her and Mulan only smiled at him through the mirror and he smiled back at her through it…
