“Next competitors to storm the stage! Are Lady Calista an Alpha wolf from the Imperial Cave Kingdom and Mulan from the Dreamy Cave Kingdom!!”. The announcer stated and instantly both the Queen Mother and Emperor exchanged glances at the mention of Mulan’s name.

“The girl who with her mate caused that golden colored sky earlier bares the name Mulan?”. The Emperor muttered and even the ministers began mumbling while the Queen Mother balled her fists.

“The same name as that awful lady whose death is still a mystery to all. I can’t believe I’m saying this brother, but I pray the other girl wins.

I so much despise the Mulan already, just by her name we can tell she’s trouble”. The Queen Mother muttered spitefully as she glared at Mulan from where she sat.

“Calista isn’t an easy opponent. It takes wisdom to defeat her”. The Emperor muttered with a satisfied smile and the Queen Mother let out a smile also.

Mulan smiled widely as she let out a sigh, while the Crown Prince gave her a raised eyebrow.

“Bummer”. Caspian shook head at the names called and Kathara turned to him.

“If she fails that means she isn’t worth our recruitment”. Kathara said and Caspian nodded.

“You’re right, I hope she doesn’t let me down”. He muttered.

“Why are you smiling?”. The Crown Prince asked Mulan who faced him.

“I’m fighting none of the Prince’s mates!”. Mulan said with a smile.

“Do you know the name of the Second Prince’s mate?”. Ocean asked and Mulan blinked puzzly not till she glanced at the field and found out, Calista was already standing at the ring waving at her and Mulan’s eyes widened when she saw Calista was none other than the Second Prince’s mate and she instantly turned to the Crown Prince.

“What should I do?”. Mulan asked in fright and the Crown Prince sighed before turning to Calista.

“She talks a lot. She’ll try to indulge you but don’t fall for It and keep your full focus on her fingers, she has a bad habit of leaking her movements with her fingers before attacking”. Ocean said and Mulan turned to Calista, though she was smiling but her fingers were really playing with each other behind her back.

“But they’re behind her back how do I see them?”. Mulan asked.

“That’s why you attack her from behind”. Ocean said and Mulan shook her head in puzzlement.

“Is he forgetting I’m not good at martial arts, I can’t even attack from the front, now behind?”. Mulan mumbled.

“Miss Mulan would you like to forfeit the match since you’re taking time to come out?!”. The announcer called through his megaphone and Mulan instantly glanced at Ocean, hoping he gave her one last hint but nothing left his lips, as she walked to the field.

‘I’ve told you enough, If you’re worthy of being my mate again, then prove yourself now”. The Crown Prince thought.

“Mulan? But she looks nothing like the b*tch father sent here, wait–she was a peace making sacrifice, of course she was killed! But Mira dare compete in a throne for royals after the death of her mistress? She deserves the beatings I gave her and even more!”. Aria muttered from where she stood together with other qualified females.

The Moment Mulan stepped into the circle, Calista smiled faintly at her.

“Mu-lan right?”. She asked and Mulan nodded while she tried so hard to take a peak of Calistas hand behind her back.

‘She hides her hand pretty well’. Mulan thought.

“Do you know, someone powerful had the same name as you and ever since her death no one else dared name their female child after her. Do you want to know why?”. Calista spoke her gaze moving to the masked Crown Prince as she smiled more, while Mulan who was focused on Calistas fingers looked up only to find Calista staring at the Crown Prince.
