And the Crown Prince’s gaze darkened, as he stood up and walked to check what was still going on out the window and truly the people were still crying.

“He died without telling me where he had my parents buried”. He muttered as his fists balled tightly in anger.

“There are all sincere tears. Each of them knows too well the amount of civil unrest they’re about to face now that the Emperor’s dead”. Mulan said from beside the Crown Prince and he only scoffed lowly.

“It isn’t bad if they experience the same fate their late Emperor put others through. If the Ghost and Dreamy Kingdoms can face insecurities every second in their homelands then why can’t Alphas and Betas?”. The Crown Prince hissed and Mulan turned to him.

“That’s not how a ruler should think. You don’t value some people’s lives and see the others as thrash. Everyone’s suffering matters a lot, lives shouldn’t be wasted all because of the fight for power”. Mulan said and the Crown Prince turned to her also with a sharp glance.

“Only the strong and useful deserve to live. In a world like the moon realm, everyone for themselves”. The Crown Prince seethed and Mulan nodded facing the window.

“If so then there should be no need for Kings and Emperors. Since the people have to do the protection themselves, What role will the Royal family play if they exist? Oppression and dominance? Because I guess that’s their only functions”. Mulan said and the Crown Prince’s gaze on her darkened.

“Just because you want to remain weak forever doesn’t mean you have to have the mentality of the Royal lineage protecting the weak in a kingdom”. The Crown Prince spat and Mulan faced him.

“But isn’t that their responsibility? Implementing and equipping the strong while protecting the weak?”. Mulan and the Crown Prince only moved closer to her, sharp gaze scanning through her whole face as Mulan gulped down nothing while watching him close the distance between them.

“I’m guessing you’re forfeiting training because you want to be part of the weak being protected by the royals?”. The Crown Prince asked, his voice sounding deeper than usual because he was closer as he gazed through Mulan’s eyes for his answers and Mulan gazed back at him.

“Is it bad if I want that?”. Mulan asked locking her eyes with his and the Crown Prince creased his brows at her, then she looked away.

“I don’t mean it. I’ll take whatever training you give me seriously, but aside from that, it’s still the work of royals to protect their people both weak and strong but especially the weak. The moon realm is in the turmoil it is now because rulers only focus on acquiring more power than ruling as they were supposed to”. Mulan said and then a knock came on the door.

“Everything’s ready for the journey, your majesty”. Sky said from outside before walking away and Mulan turned to the Crown Prince in puzzlement.

“Nice thoughts that need to be buried along with you. Even the moon goddess herself hates losers isn’t that why she promised you death at the end of your three months.

A great ruler only deserves great people with discipline, but one thing’s certain, there’s no place for the weak and useless”. The Crown Prince muttered sharply before turning to walk out of the chamber and Mulan’s gaze followed him.

“I’m guessing that’s why the Moon Goddess made you Wolfless”. Mulan said and the Crown Prince instantly stopped on his track with a glare on his face.

“I’ve read a lot about you, and how your existence alone is a threat to many people in high positions. From your dominant aura to your skilled men, everything about a Wolf Less Ex-Crown Prince was a threat to strong Wolves around the Moon Realm and I think the Moon Goddess herself also feels threatened because if someone like you gets in power then this whole realm is doomed, maybe–just maybe you weren’t born Wolfless but your powers were stripped from you by the Moon Goddess and it might actually be restored back to you once you truly begin to value humanity and people’s lives in general”. Mulan muttered as she fidgeted strongly with her fingers while hoping he wouldn’t kill her for what she said and the Crown Prince finally turned to her.

But instead the Crown Prince turned to her with a dark smile on his face and Mulan could swear that was the first time she ever saw him smile.

“You solved my puzzle. That’s smart of you”. The Crown Prince muttered as he walked back to her.

‘Puzzle?’. Mulan thought and instantly she remembered the poem he had written for the villagers of blossom village that happened to be a puzzle in disguise.

‘I solved it? How?’. Mulan thought puzzly but she was instantly taken aback when the Crown Prince became so close to her.

And then sharply one of his hands went to the back of her neck as he used it to pull her face to his and Mulan’s eyes widened, as her eyes locked with his.

“But now that you’ve figured that out you should know your real duty now, red flower”. The Crown Prince muttered in a hush tone as the pet name sounded a little more seductive than when he first called her that.

“It’s not just for you to find a mate within three months but instead for you to make me see these dumb things you see and get my powers back from you. So literally the moon goddess chose you to be my eye opener which will NEVER happen”. The Crown Prince said with a creepy smile playing on his face as he used his second hand to caress Mulan’s face and Mulan couldn’t help but feel shivers running down her spine.

His touch wasn’t warm but wasn’t cold either, it was just a strange touch overall but she somehow felt comfortable with it.

But then the worst happened when the Crown Prince began leaning closer and then…he crashed his lips on hers, making her eyes widened…
