The Emperor’s eyes widened as he instantly dropped the letter, then he stood up and with his hands behind his back he began pacing troubled around the chamber and Concubine Yan only stared puzzly at him.
“First the Omega King and Now that Rogue dared send me such a letter? He’ll wage war on me if I don’t return to his information house.
But the real problem here is, what information house! I stole nothing!! Who dares try to frame me?!!!”. The Emperor roared loudly, his eyes changing color as his Old Wolf was at the brink of revealing.
But concubine Yan instantly picked up his cup of tea and ran to give it to him.
“Drink this and calm down your majesty. You can only think and navigate through this whole situation with a calm mind”. Concubine Yan said as she stroked the Emperor’s back and he glared at her for a second, before taking the cup and gulping down the whole content into his mouth in one goal.
And Concubine Yan smiled as she took the cup from and went to drop it back on the table.
Then she sat on his squishy soft chair and tapped on the spot beside her for him to join her and the Emperor walked to sit next to her as he laid putting his head on her laps and she smiled as she began stroking his hair and face softly.
“Now think calmly, who else has the power aside from you to seize two powerhouses from two great Kingdoms. The same powerhouse you weren’t able to seize two years ago no matter the attempts you use, it was either your men were caught on their way to seize it or they were tricked by the kings and arrived at a wrong location.
So do you think it could be the Queen Mother, or Caspian. I mean they’re the two great people in the palace now”. Concubine Yan muttered softly and the Emperor turned his head up to stare at her while he thought.
“My sister might be powerful but she knows nothing about external politics. Her whole entire life and focus has only been this palace and nowhere else, she wants to dominate a palace but knows nothing about our kingdom or the other two kingdoms at large, so I doubt she’s the one.
And as for Caspian, although he’s traveled a lot and has all the men and capabilities to seize these powerhouses of the two kingdoms, he just returned and his first assignment my sister must have given him, was to win the people’s heart while taking over the throne, so I doubt he knows anything about the powerhouses and how to seize them, and even though he does, he has no time for that.
This recent competition has taken most of his time”. The Emperor said his mind was traveling a great distance in search of answers and Concubine Yan sighed.
But then the Emperor stood up instantly when realization hit him.
“Ocean! How could I forget that the devil still exists! Someone capable enough to build an army and train assassins in my own palace! Of course seizing two powerhouses is a child’s play for him!”. The Emperor shouted loudly getting up as he began pacing angrily and Concubine Yan nodded in agreement as she joined him.
“You’re right, your majesty. He’s still alive! How could we let our guards down? Now he’s set us up and if war breaks out now that there’s a competition going on, we won’t be able to attack back and our palace snatched from us giving him a better chance to seize the throne, your majesty! Your majesty, you need to do something quick!”. Concubine Yan said in panic and the Emperor turned to her.
“Go! Go call General Lu! I need him to haunt the Ex-Crown Prince, his troops are powerful so of course he’s capable of taking down that tyrant!”. The Emperor said and Concubine Yan instantly bowed.
“Yes your majesty!!”. She said before running out of the chamber.
Thirty minutes later, Concubine Yan walked into the Emperor’s chamber with the armoured general.
“His majesty really needs your help. A war might break out soon and—
Concubine Yan stopped talking when she saw the general stop on his track looking shocked at where she was sure the Emperor sat, and she turned her gaze there only to see the Emperor unconscious with a bleeding mouth and an arrow stuck to his chest.
“Your majesty!!”. Concubine Yan shouted loudly as she instantly ran to him.
“I’ll go get the imperial Doctor!”. The General shouted before running out leaving Concubine Yan who cried her eyes out.
