Right at the back of the inn was a pretty greenland with a huge space suitable for training.
“Kick!”. Sky instructed and Mulan raised up her right leg to kick but instead she fell to the ground, and Sky sighed.
“Are you sure this move is for beginners? Aren’t I supposed to be meditating or learning simple hand movements? Why all this kicking? And you haven’t even unlocked my inner vessel yet, that will make me learn faster and harder!”. Mulan complained.
“Yours is different because you’re learning self defense and nothing supernatural”. Sky said and Mulan instantly put her keg down as she gave him a confused look.
“Why?”. She asked.
“Because that’s what the Crown Prince ordered. Without knowing self defense there’s no way you’ll be able to learn any supernatural fighting skills like other wolves, because supernatural skills are hard and missing a single move by mistake while learning it can affect your life span.
So you see, a powerless nugu like you can’t just learn it because you want to”. Sky said and Mulan’s eyes widened.
“So I’ve been wasting my time here?”. She asked and Sky frowned.
“Really? Leave then?”. Sky said and Mulan scoffed.
“You think I won’t?! Like I want to learn this in the first place! My main focus is to survive by finding a suitable mate! And being a captive for your heartlessness isn’t part of that focus”. Mulan snapped as she began walking away and Sky’s gaze followed her.
“How old are you?”. His voice came and Mulan stopped on her track as she also tried remembering her age.
“You don’t know because you have no memory. One reason why I sent Mira away is because she’s young and childish and moving about with a dumb mistress who doesn’t remember her origin is a big red flag for someone who’s supposed to be my mate and I’m just a beta guard.
So you should think, if I as a guard have such standards for my own mate, why call the Crown Prince heartless for rejecting someone as useless as you? You’re not good at simple self defense or martial arts! You have no courtesy or refined characters like those of princesses, you misbehave and act stupid when not needed.
Now you know you won’t survive in three months! If you don’t find a mate but you’re unfortunately stuck here with the Crown Prince, are you too stupid to know your main focus should be on doing what pleases him rather than acting around like a kid? Pleasing him isn’t even that hard!
You just need to develop a few senses and a large amount of fighting skills like ladies your age have. Once he gets what he wants from you, who knows he might just reward you by accepting to be your mate so you don’t die”. Sky said loud and harsh and Mulan turned to him with shaky eyes, but he frowned at her before walking away.
And while leaving an assassin dressed in black ran to whisper something into his ear as they walked back into the inn together.
Mulan only stood staring after him in daze.
“Even a guard can say this to me. Am I that dumb and will pleasing the Crown Prince really help me?”. Mulan blinks sadly as a tear falls from her eyes.

CROWN PRINCE’S ROOM
The Crown Prince stood staring out the window with a dark gaze in his eyes, his hands were also behind him.
Even though it was dark he could clearly see the wailing of villagers outside and the general and his entourage walking past the multitudes.
Then Sky opened the door running to the Crown Prince with a troubled look.
“Your Majesty. The Emperor is–
“How’s her training going?”. The Crown Prince asked, interrupting Sky as he walked away from the table to sit on the bed and Sky’s confused gaze followed him as he sighed before answering.
“She’s not ready to learn your majesty”. Sky replied and the Crown Prince nodded, making Sky more confused.
“This whole Kingdom will soon be plunged into unrest. Get everything prepared, we’ll be leaving for the Galaxy Palace tonight”. The Crown Prince muttered and Sky bowed.
“Yes your majesty!”. Sky said, but his face still looked puzzled and the Crown Prince gave him a raised eyebrow.
“What?”. He asked and Sky took in before speaking.
“It’s just…since the Emperor is dead that means the Third Prince will be crowned the Emperor soon—
“That’s why we need to go to our territory to plan our next move, before the crowning”. The Crown Prince said cutting Sky off and Sky nodded before turning to walk away.
“Send the girl in on your way out”. The Crown Prince said and Sky bowed before walking out.
