I had so many unanswered questions, and since they remained unanswered I decided to take fate into my own hands and switched our roles. How did I do that?
I had my mate killed”. The Crown Prince muttered with a creepy smile on his face and while everyone looked stunned, Mira and Mrs Matty were the only two who frowned at him.
‘I should have been the one to talk to this villagers instead. His majesty seems to be adding more smoke to the fire’. Sky thought.
“Yes you’re confused. As to why I would kill my mate, the only one capable of breaking my curse. But by then, my ego mattered alot more than my curse.
It’s best if she died than me as an Alpha being in the mercy of an Omega, though my second thought was, If the moon goddess had a little sympathy for the one she made my mate, then she should bring her back to life as an Alpha just like me, or just keep her in the after life like other dead people.
And surprisingly the moon goddess brought her back to life, but not as an Alpha but as a completely different breed and that alone made me feel better and seeing her for the first time after her transformation.
I thought since she was in the same league as me now, starting our lives all over again and living as normal mates was possible and I was ready for that, but…”. The Crown Prince paused as he took his gaze down a little.
“But I found out the moon goddess had dissolve the mate bond between us and I got mad again. I wasn’t even sure if I was mad, but for some reason I felt more of sadness within me than anger and I didn’t know why”. The Crown Prince spoke, his shiny gaze, dimming into a glassy one, with a sad smile on his face and Sky’s eyes widened when he noticed that.
‘His highness is such a great actor!’. Sky gasped within him.
“Why was I sad? Wasn’t I supposed to be happy my pride was finally saved and I don’t have to rely on an omega to break my curse.
But I was just so broken within, for no concrete reason. But realizing something made me cheer up a little, the fact that my mate had suffered from a memory loss while being transformed by the moon goddess.
I didn’t look like it, but I was happy and relieved she remembered nothing of my cruelty towards her in the past, and what’s best, she now had the power to choose her mate on her own, with no moon goddess to decide that for her and that made a narcisst like me.
Think if I kept her close and show her that she couldn’t be with any other person but me, she’ll have no choice but to choose me as her mate, weather she likes it or not”. The Crown Prince said slowly and both Mira exchanged shocked glances, before transferring their shocked gaze to the Crown Prince.
“I did these and many more, while not knowing why I was doing it, I didn’t know the kind of feeling I harbored for her, I don’t even understand anything in that aspect, but all I knew and wanted was she not leaving my sight for even a split seconds.
That alone can make me end this whole realm and the moon goddess who decided to start all this with her mischievous way of mating people and let’s just say it’s as a result of me wanting and forcing her to be with me, that made her feel so suffocated that she had lash out earlier.
And like she said, we aren’t married, we’re just two people who used to be mates”. The Crown Prince added with a low hush voice and many actually began feeling emotional.
“It’s love you dummy! When all you think about is yourself, how would you know if you’re in love! Big for nothing!”. Mrs Matty hissed loudly from the audience as she crossed her arms and the Crown Prince frowned at her.
‘The Crown Prince likes her highness?’. Mira thought with widened eyes.
‘Love. That isn’t part of my life long list. But am I in love with red flower?’. The Crown Prince thought within him in puzzlement…
“Is this still part of his acting or a confession? I’m so confused’. Sky thought as he stared shockingly at the Crown Prince beside him.
