The next morning, Jayden was sleeping next to Mia on the bed after treatment was made on her.
***Some hours back***
Jayden was pestering around the corridor waiting for the doctor. Soon after, Michael came out and he rushed to him quickly.
“Please, tell me how is she and the baby?”. He asked curiously.
” Relax Jayden”.
“Please don’t tell me to relax, am dying here,”.he said tensely.
” You don’t need to worry, she and the baby are fine now, they are in good shape”. He said and Jayden let out a sigh of relief as tears fell out of his eyes and rested his head on Micheal’s shoulder.
“I was so scared to death “. He sniffed and Micheal patted his back.
” Is ok, I can understand your fear”. He said and Jayden raised his head cleaning his tears.
“What was the problem?”.
” Well, she suffered from Ectopic pregnancy, it’s rare but serious cause of bleeding when a fertilised egg starts growing outside the uterus (womb). An ectopic pregnancy can rupture (burst) and cause heavy bleeding, and it’s life-threatening, she’s lucky you rushed her here on time, it could have been worse”. He explained.”But not to worry, she has been given methotrexate, it works by blocking the enzyme in the body that maintains the pregnancy, in other words, it stops the tissue from growing bigger and prevents it from rupturing(bursting)”. he added.
“Thank you so much doctor, can I see her now?”. Jayden asked.
” Yes, you may “. he said and walked away.

Maya opened her eyes to see Jayden sleeping beside her, she smiled and caressed his hair. Jayden woke up and met eyes with her.
” Maya, you are awake”. he said excitedly as he kissed her forehead. “I was damn worried”.
” Am sorry for making you worry”.
“No, you don’t have to, I am so happy now that you are fine, please don’t scare me like this again, I can’t bear it if anything happens to you and our child”.He said sadly and Maya kissed his cheek.
” Nothing will happen to us, we have you with us”. She smiled.
“I love you, I love you so much”. He kissed her lips softly and they got interrupted.
” Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt the moment”.Micheal said smiling and they turned to him. “How are you feeling Maya?”.
“Much better doctor”. she replied smiling.
“Ok, I will have some test done on you to know if you are good to go”. he said.
” Ok, Doctor, thank you”.Jayden said.
“Ok, excuse me for a moment”. he walks away
Jayden and Maya smile at each other.

JAYDEN’S MANSION
Diana was having her breakfast at the dining table, she wondered why she hadn’t heard from Jayden and Maya.
” Are they still sleeping by this time?”. She wondered and then Andrea came over to serve her a fruit salad.” um, Are Jayden and Maya still sleeping by this time?”. she asked.
“I think so because I haven’t seen any of them this morning”.he replied.
” Ok, thanks”. she said and continued eating.
An hour later, Jayden drove in with Maya, he rushed down and helped Maya out of the car, and his men bowed to them as they walked to the doorstep they heard noise from the living room.
“Isn’t that mom’s voice?”She asked confusedly.
” I guess so”.He said and they went inside.
They were surprised to see Mrs.Williams yelling angrily at Diana who stood in front of her like a child getting a scold from her mother, and she was sobbing bitterly.
“You have no business here and I want you out of this house and my son’s life forever!”.Mrs.Williams yelled.
” Mom”. Jayden called and she turned in his direction.
“Jayden” ” She moved to them and hugged them. ” Where are you two coming from?”.
“We are coming from the hospital”. Jayden said and Mrs.williams was surprised including Diana.
” Hospital? What happens? Maya are you okay? Is my grandchild okay?”. She asked curiously.
“Is nothing to worry Mom”. Maya said.
” Tell me what happened? am worried “. She said.
” There was some complication, she had an Ectopic pregnancy issue, but it’s fine now”. he said.
Mrs Williams and Diana gasped in shock including the girls who were listening from the kitchen.
“Oh my gosh, Maya, my dear, are you okay?”.
” Am fine, so, don’t worry about it”.
“Come on, let’s go inside”. She said and helped her to the room.
Jayden and Diana stare awkwardly at each other.
” Am sorry”. She said.
“What are you sorry for?”.he asked.
” I don’t know, I just feel like saying sorry, So, how is Maya?”.
“She is fine, thanks for asking”. he turns to leave and then stops halfway.” Am sorry for what my mother said to you”. he says and walks away.

“Mom for a thousand times, I am fine”. Maya said.
” But I am still worried, I don’t like her presence here in this house, what if she is the course of this”. Mrs.williams said.
“Mom! Diana has been very nice to me and besides, she saved me from falling down yesterday”. She said and Mrs.williams was surprised including Jayden who just walked in.
” What? You almost fell yesterday? And you didn’t tell me”. Jayden said.
“Nothing happened and I thought it wasn’t necessary, Diana was quick enough to save me from the slippery floor”.
” Why will they pour water on the floor? What were they thinking?”. He said angrily.”Maybe I need to teach them a lesson”. he turned to leave, but Maya stopped him from leaving.
“Don’t Jayden, this is the reason why I don’t want to tell you in the first place because I know you will react like this”. She sighed tiredly.” It was a mistake, it wasn’t their fault”.
“She is right, thanks the heaven she is fine”. Mrs.williams said.
” But what if it was worse than we all imagined it,”. He said.
“I am fine, it’s all thanks to Diana”.
” Don’t praise her too much dear, who knows if she was the one that spilled the water on the floor”. Mrs.Williams said
“Mom, she is not, can we not talk about this anymore”.
” Fine!”. She said.

Ryan surprised Mia with a picnic at a waterfall
“You naughty boy, why didn’t you tell me this is where you were bringing me”. She said.
” I told you is a secret”. he said as he hugged her from behind. “So, tell me, do you love it?”.
“Yes, it’s beautiful, I love it”.She smiles.
” Am glad you, let’s have fun”. he grabbed her hand and they moved to sit down on the carpet grass. He spread a little cloth on the ground, he started to arrange the food, snacks, drinks, and fruits out of the basket.
“Wow, so much food”. She said excitedly.
” Yeah, it’s a special day”.
“Is it your birthday?”.
” Nah, well, it’s actually today marks it two months we have been together”. He said and Mia gasped surprisedly.
“Oh my gosh, I am sorry I didn’t remember”.
” It’s okay”. he smiles at her.
“Seriously, am sorry, I should have brought us something or even made an arrangement for it too”. She said sadly.
” Come on don’t–“.he got shut up by a light kiss from Mia.”Wow, I wasn’t expecting that”. He said.
“Is my way of saying thank you”.
” Yeah, but I wasn’t prepared for it, so, now I am ready”. He said and then pulled closer to her.
“What are you doing?”. She asked nervously.
” Am getting a real thank you kiss from you”. He said and caressed her face. Mia smiled as he leaned his face closer, their lips were about to touch when Mia whispered in his ear.
“Am starving, how about we eat first”. she said and they pulled back.
” Ok, let’s eat”. he said
The fun began, they ate, chatted, and joked around, after that, they strolled around staring amazingly at the waterfall, took a lot of pictures, and made memories together, the excitement was too much and they never wished the day to end.
“This is amazing”. Mia said excitedly as both were holding hands facing each other.
” Are you having fun?”.
“Mm-hm, I am having a lot of fun, thank you, Ryan, you have brought so much fun and happiness into my life, and I appreciate that”. She said smiling.
” Me too Mia, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, I wonder how my life would have been without you, I thank the heavens for bringing you close to me, I don’t know what I would do without you”. He pulled closer to her and caressed her face.”Mia, words can not express how much you really mean to me, for these past few months I have known you, my life has been meaningful and I wish nothing should ever come between us because I love you, Mia”. he said and Mia was surprised by his last word as tears filled her eyes.
“I love you too, Ryan”. she said between tears and they hugged each other lovingly.

Maya came to knock on Diana’s doorstep, but there was no response, she knocked again and called out her name, but there was no response.
” Why is she not answering?”. She wonders and then opens the door, she goes inside and notices Diana is not in the room. “Did she go somewhere?”. She came out and shut the door behind her.
” What are you doing?”. Jayden interrupted her from behind and she turned to him.
“Nothing, I was just looking for Diana”. She said.
” Isn’t she not in her room? Why are you looking for her?”. He asked.
“I just want to talk to her”. She said.
” There is no need for that, you need to rest, she will be fine”. He took her hand and they left for their room. She sat on the bed while Jayden sat beside her reading a magazine.
“You wanna tell me about it?”. She asked and Jayden turned to her.
” About what?”.
“About what really happened between you and Diana that made everyone turn against her including you”. She said and Jayden went silent. ” Fine, is ok if you don’t want to tell me about it”. She said.
“Of course not, you are my woman now and you deserve to know the truth”. He said and let out a sigh.
