Diana came a little closer to the building, she noticed something falling down from the building.
“What’s that?”. She wonders and suddenly she notices it is Hayden. “HAYDEN!” She screamed and picked to her heels to catch him, she was lucky enough to catch him on time and hug him tight.”Oh gosh! Thank goodness”. She said as tears fell out of her eyes, she caressed him and placed kisses on his face.” I love you so much boy, thank goodness I came on time”. She said.
“What the hell!”. Miranda said seeing nothing happened to the baby.
” What?”. Amanda asked.
“Someone saved the child, the person caught him”. She said.
Maya heard what she said and she became relaxed as more tears fell out of her eyes
” Thank you, God, thank you”. Maya prayed silently.
“I will kill that bastard”. Amanda said and fired a shot at Diana, she escaped the gunshot and ran inside the building.” Kill them both!”. She said to her men and they left.
“And you are coming with us”. Miranda said and ordered the rest men to take her along.
A few minutes later, Jayden arrived at the bridge where Maya told him to meet her, he walked around trying to connect to the number she used in calling him, but it wasn’t going through.
” Come on Maya, where are you?”. He grunts still trying the number.
Meanwhile, Diana held Hayden in her arms tight as she kept hiding from the two guys chasing after her.
“Oh God, please help us”. She prayed silently and brought out her phone to call Theo
” We know you are hiding in there somewhere”. The guy said.

Theo was in his office getting some work done, when he noticed his cell phone was ringing, he picked it up without looking at the caller ID.
“Hello?”. he said.
” Theo, help!”. Diana said from the other end of the phone.
“Diana?” He called as he stopped what he was doing.
“Please Theo help, we are in danger”. She said.
Theo stood up quickly.
” What do you mean? Where are you?”. There was a pause.”Ok, just hold on, I will be right there”. he hung up, picked up his car keys, and rushed out as he dialed Ryan’s number.
Diana stared at Hayden in her arms to see him staring at her calmly.
“Don’t worry boy, we are going to get out of this place alive, I promise to protect you, okay?”. She kissed his forehead.
She stretched out her neck to see if they were coming her way, the coast was clear and she ran to the other side of the building, the guys shot in her direction and started walking toward her. She took off her jacket and used it to tie Hayden against her body, then she picked up a hard stick and waited for the guy to come closer, Immediately, the guy pointed the gun in her direction, and she was quick enough to hit the gun away from his hand, the guy groans in pain and she started to use the stick on him until he passed out, She turns to run when the other guy shot her on her shoulder, she groans in pain and quickly run to a hiding place while the guy was still following them behind.
Jayden was still waiting impatiently under the bridge, the place was quiet as a graveyard with no human or vehicle moving around, the place looked like an old bridge that was long forgotten with a deep sea under it.
” Please Maya”. He said sadly.
Then he noticed two vehicles coming his direction, one on the left-hand side and the other on his right-hand side, they stopped when they got a little closer to him, and he wondered who they were until Amanda stepped down from the car with Miranda and Maya followed as she was blindfolded with her hands tied behind her back.
“Hey jayden, we meet again”. Amanda said smiling.
” Maya”. Jayden called and Maya’s blindfold was taken off.”What the hell is going on here Amanda? What are you doing? And you Miranda”. He asked confusedly as he turned to his left to see some group of men holding rods, while some were holding hard stick
“What does it look like we are doing? We held your fiancee captive”. Miranda said.
“How dare you?!”. Jayden yelled seeing the weakness in Maya’s eyes.” What have you done, do you know who you two are messing with? Let her go now”.
“Oh please! your threats won’t work on us”Amanda said.
” Why are you doing this? What has she done?”.
“You made me barren, you ruined my life! I have come back with revenge”. Miranda yelled.
” I loved you with the whole me, but what did you do, you toy with my heart”. Amanda.
“Don’t be ridiculous, I never loved you, I never proposed any affection toward you, and as for you Miranda, you ruined your life yourself, so you suffered for it, Maya had nothing to do with all these, if you want your revenge, pour it on me and let Maya go”. He said.
” We don’t have time for this, boy!”. Amanda called out to the guys before Jayden could retaliate they attacked him quickly using the hard objects on him, Jayden didn’t care about the pain he was feeling, he fought them back with all his strength.
“Please, stop, let him go, please”. Maya begged with tears in her eyes. ” Please!”.
“Be quiet! Now you will feel the pain of losing someone you love”. Amanda said.
” Jayden”. She cried seeing he was getting weak as the guys continued hitting him with the hard object.
Jayden became weak as blood started coming out from his face, he fell on the ground weakly as they continued hitting him.
Meanwhile, Diana was still in the hideout as she groaned quietly in pain with blood dripping from her back, suddenly, Hayden started crying.
“No, no, no, please don’t cry, please”. She said quietly trying to make him stop, suddenly, the guy came to their hiding place and pointed the gun at her.
” You think you can run”. he said.
“Please don’t hurt the baby”. She pleaded.
” Well, too late”. He said and was about to pull the trigger when someone shot his head from the back, he fell and died.
Diana gasped and came out from her hiding place.
“Diana?”. Theo called as he rushed to her, he was the one that shot the guy.
” Thank goodness you are here”. She said.
Then Ryan came over with the police.
“Oh my gosh, you are hurt”. Ryan said.
” Am fine”. she said.
“Come on we are taking you to the hospital”. Theo said.
They turned to leave when they heard someone screaming for help, the police immediately took place.
” Who is that?”. Ryan asked confusedly.
“We will check it out, Ryan, take them to the car, and wait right there”. Theo said as he left with the police, while Ryan took Diana to the car.
” Sit here”. Ryan said as he helped her with Hayden.
Diana was feeling weak as she was losing a lot of blood. Ryan noticed she was bleeding heavily, he took off his jacket and used it to wrap the wound to stop the bleeding.
“Thank you”. She said weakly.
” You are welcome, just wait a little bit, we will take you to the hospital”. he said as he carried Hayden on his shoulder trying to put him to sleep.
Theo and the police finally got to where the voice was coming from.
“You?”. Theo asked surprisedly as he rushed to untie them. ” What are you doing here? Why are you tied up?”. He asked.
“Please sir, you have to save Madam Maya, she is in deep danger, they are going to kill her”. Amma said in tears.
” What are you talking about? Do you know who kidnapped her?”. The inspector asked.
“Yes, it was Amanda and Miranda, they were here a while ago, but they took her away”. She said.
” What? Do you know where they are?”. Theo asked curiously.
Ryan and Diana were still waiting for Theo and the rest police officers, soon they saw them coming with Amma a boy in a wheelchair.
“Amma?” Diana called surprisedly.
“What is going on?”. Ryan asked confusedly.
” We have to go, She knows where Maya is, we need to inform Jayden about it”. The inspector said.
“Speaking of him, I can’t be able to reach him, his phone was busy and now it’s switched off “. Theo said as they all entered the car.
” I am confused, what is going on? What were you and Amma doing here?”. Ryan asked Diana.
“I didn’t know she was here, Hayden went missing by the poolside at home, I was with him when I left to get my phone inside, but when I got back, he was gone, I searched around and saw his toy by the exit door at the backyard and I also saw a footprint, which means someone took him, I decided to follow the footprint that was how I find myself in this building When I moved closer I saw something falling down from the building, that was when I realized it was Hayden”. She explained and they gasped.
” What?”. Ryan said.
“I took him”. Amma said and they turned to her.
” What do you mean?”. Theo asked.
“Amanda and Miranda kidnapped my brother and threatened to kill him if I didn’t follow their institutions, I had no choice but to abide by their task, I gave them every information that was going on in the house, the day Madam Maya was kidnapped, I told them where to find her”. She sniffs and continues. ” After that, they instructed me to get Hayden for them, I refuse but they threatened to kill my brother, I had no choice but to bring Hayden to them, they didn’t tell me what they were going to do to him, instead they ask their men to tie me and brother”. She said.
“But why didn’t you say any of these?”. Ryan quarrels.
” I was scared, Sammy is the only sibling I have and I don’t want anything to happen to him”She sobbed.
“Gosh! Amma, Hayden could have died today if I wasn’t quick enough to save him from falling from that building”. Diana said.
” Am sorry, please forgive me”.
“Those b!stards! They are going to pay dearly for this”. Ryan said angrily
“Please, let’s hurry!”. Theo said and the driver increased the speed of the car.
Meanwhile, the guys stopped hitting on Jayden as he became lifeless on the ground.
“Jayden!”. Maya cried bitterly.
” This is fun”. Miranda said and they laughed.
“Maya”. Jayden called weakly as he was trying to crawl to her.
Maya struggles to get loose from their grip. Amanda walked majestically to where Jayden was and bent over to him.
” Hmm, what a shame, the almighty jayden on the ground like a chicken”. She mocks.”Now you are going to watch how your beloved fiancee dies in your eyes”. She smirk. “You shouldn’t have messed with the wrong person”. She said and moved back to Where Maya was. ” So long, my friend”. She said and pushed Maya forward as she pointed the gun at her.
Maya and Jayden’s eyes interlocked, as tears kept crawling down from their eyes.
“Am sorry I didn’t keep my promise to you, I lo–“. Maya got interrupted as she was shot in the back. Slowly, she fell to the ground.
” Noooooooo! MAYA!!!”. Jayden screamed in pain.
