CHAPTER 107
“Yes?” Jemima said as they disengaged, and Sloane came in.
“Sloane?” She smiled, walking to her.
“Bestie” Sloane returned the smile as they hugged.
“It’s been a while since we really spent time together” Sloane said.
“I know, right? I’ll make some time tommorow” Jemima smiled, and they hugged again.
“Queen shoes?” She said immediately they broke it.
Her eyes are on her shoes .
“Oh, these? My baby got them for me” Jemima said proudly, and Maxwell joined them.
“Oh… Mell” Sloane said, trying not to look into his eyes.
“Miss Sloane” he smiled, and she felt her heart sinking.
Hearing him address her as Miss is painful when he comfortably calls Jemima by her name.
“Miguel misses you” she finally said.
“I’ll surely visit him soon” he smiled, and Jemima hugged him, right in front of Sloane.
“Let’s have lunch together” she said.
“Of course, deal” he winked, and she rubbed his face.
Sloane was about to talk when Lina called from the door, then she came in.
“The new GM is here boss” she announced, and almost immediately, the handsome dude came in.
He’s suited up just like Maxwell, and he’s smiling widely.
“It’s nice to be finally here” he said, and Jemima frowned
She has heard that voice before though she has no idea where, but she’s sure she has never seen the face before.
Sloane was thinking the same too, and Maxwell noticed the looks on their faces.
“He’s Mr. Jude Mars” Lina said to Jemima who kept staring at the strange face.
“Mr. Jude Mars, meet the boss, Miss…
“Jemima Andrade-Kings, she attended Bright Stars highschool, and she has a daughter called Francesca” Jude interrupted, and all eyes widened.
“Who the h’ll are you?” Jemima muttered.

“Who the h’ll are you?” Jemima muttered, and Jude smiled coolly.
“You must be surprised about how I know almost everything about you, I was your classmate back then, but I guess you don’t remember me since we weren’t friends, I know Miss Sloane too, we were all in same class” he said.
“Really?” Sloane blinked.
“Yes, aren’t you Sloane Roosevelt? Your son’s name is Miguel” he smiled.
“You know too much for a mere classmate” Maxwell talked.
“I’m sorry, I just found out somehow, trust me that’s it” Jude smiled again.
“Cool, Lina will show you to your office and introduce you to staffs” Jemima said, and he bowed slightly.
“Yes ma’am”
He smiled yet again before leaving with Lina.
“Need to return to work now, I’ll catch you later Jemima” Sloane said.
“Sure” Jemima replied, and she waved as Maxwell before leaving.
“Something is obviously off about him” Jemima muttered.
“You shouldn’t waste your time thinking about it, don’t stress yourself” Maxwell replied and pulled her to her desk.
He made her sit and squatted in front of her, holding her hand to caress her knuckles.
He held gazes with her, and she smiled eventually.
“Calm down” he whispered, and she nodded.
