Jayden’s Pov:
I smiled within me as she backed me.
She’s so beautiful when annoyed.
You know what?
My plans are gradually falling into place.
“Suit yourself then… You know ghosts lives in the sea and they likes dark places” I said as I backed her too.
I could see how scared she was.
“What ghosts?” She pretended to be strong.
“They ones you’ve heard of…. They live in seas” I said as she flinched in fear.
She gulped nervously looking around in the dark.
“Anyways am going to sleep now… It’s night” I said as she gasped.
“No! Wait don’t sleep” She said sharply as she quickly jerked up.
I smiled to myself.
“And why shouldn’t I? Am feeling sleepy!” I said as I turned away from her.
She quickly rushed to me and sat beside me.
“What if the beasts come in here? This is just a log cabin that you made and it’s not even strong” She cried.
“Yeah… The ghosts can uproot it” I said as she covered her face.
I could see how scared she was and that made me amused.
I never knew such a stubborn lady could be weak.
“But don’t worry I won’t let them get you” I said as she adjusted closer to me.
She was so close to me and I could perceive her sweet scent.
She placed her head on the leaf close to me with her eyes tightly shut.
I smiled as I watched her fall asleep.
I patted her hair softly.

MORNING
The sun ray from the little window to my eyes.
I breathed heavily as I opened my eyes.
I saw Natasha sleeping with her hands on me.
We were cuddling and I held her tightly.
I smiled as I pecked her cheek.
she was still fast asleep.
I gently lay her on the leaves properly.
We have to make due with the leaves spread on the ground as bed until we leave this place.
Are you surprised how we ended up here?
Don’t be… it was all planned.
We are actually bonding.
I walked out of the log cabin and she continued sleeping.

Natasha’s Pov:
Few minutes later….
I got up from the bed.
I looked around but I didn’t see Jayden.
My stomach grumbled noisily and I yawned hungrily.
Am so famished….
I walked out of the room
“Jayden! Jayden!! Jay..” I called and stopped as I saw him.
I burst into laughter and he laughed too.
“You look like a chicken in that” I chuckled
Wanna know why I laughed?
Actually Jayden was putting on a cooking apron and a chef cap.
And he was cooking.
Well he made a fire with some sticks.
“Am a good cook you know” He smiled
“What you cooking?” I asked
“Roasted fish… That’s all we can get living in an island” He said as I licked my lips.
“That’s good… I like fish” I said as he smiled.
“Well am done… But we will have to eat sitting on this log” He pointed at it
“Oh…. Oh OK!” I said sluggishly
“Sorry! There won’t be a dinning table and cutleries” He added as we sat on the log.
“With hands?” I asked anxiously
“Yeah… Bare hands” He said as I shook my head.
The fishes were placed on a big leaf with some chilli and the aroma was…
Wow…. Appetizing
Hmm… I didn’t know he could cook
I ate a piece of fish and he looked at me nervously.
“How is it?” He asked as I smiled.
“Yummy!” I said as he laughed.
We continued eating and chatting.
We are becoming friends gradually.
