“Good evening boss” The driver greeted when Kaine showed up.

“Yeah” Kaine replied and entered into the car,the driver was about moving when Bluey also came with Oliver in her arms.

Kaine’s eyss followed them so the driver didn’t move either.

“Would you like me to help you do some checking on them?” He asked.

‘As long as he’s not yours,you have no right to ask me’ he remember what Bluey said.

“Why checking on another man’s child? Take me home” He said.

“Okay boss” The driver said and drove off.

“Mommy,what about the mister?” Oliver asked as Bluey helped him settle in the car.

She said nothing.

“We promised to see each other today as well,does he work here?” Oliver asked again.

“He went home” Bluey muttered.

“Then can we go to his home?” Oliver asked.

Bluey sighed and looked at him.

“Oliver,can you stop with this new mister of yours? I’m tired please” she said and Oliver made a sad face.

Bluey said nothing more and started the car,Oliver didn’t talk either.

“Oliver,do you want ice cream?” Bluey asked after few minutes of driving.

He shook his head.

“Lollipop?”

Oliver shook his head.

“Tell me what you want then” Bluey said.

“I love you mommy” Oliver said and Bluey smiled,she stroked his hair and continue driving.

KAINE’S MANSION*

Kaine entered the cellar and settled down,he grabbed a wine glass and opened one of the wine then poured for himself.

He rubbed his half wet hair and took a sip from the wine while scrolling through his pad,then Puma’s call came in,which he answered right away.

“Good evening boss” He greeted.

“News?” Kaine asked.

“About Jose” Puma said and Kaine nodded.

“Go on”

“He’s the CEO of FLUXX TECH,but he actually belongs to a dark association in the underworld,he has alot of criminal cases and harassment cases but somehow he always get out of it,meaning, the law can’t get to him. He’s known for his love for women and…he always get whatever he wants no matter what. He can’t be arrested” Puma explained.

“Always gets what he wants” Kaine muttered.

“Yes boss” Puma replied.

Kaine chuckled.

“That’s all for now,how about Fang?” He asked.

“Probably on a date with Sapphire” Puma replied and Kaine nodded.

“Goodnight boss” Puma said before he hung up.

“Always get what he wants” Kaine repeated and gulped down his wine.

He honestly don’t want to get involved in any shitty situation,for the past five years he’s been maintaining that,he can’t even remember when last he held a gun in his hand or fought with anyone.

But crazily,those feelings are still the same,He’s no more a mafia but the mentality still remains the same,maybe because he spent his whole life training like a mad dog,no matter how much he tries to change his attitude and how he see things,it’s always the same.

In one word,he doesn’t want a victim,coz he can’t even trust himself if anyone should make him mad and unleash the demons he’s been hiding for five years.

Just then,Bian’s call came on his phone and he answered at once.

“Bian” he said.

“You promised to call back when you get home,are you slowly ditching me?” Bian asked.

“Yes I’m ditching you,what are you going to do?” Kaine teased.

“Then don’t expect me anytime soon” Bian scoffed.

“Just come whenever you want,be careful” Kaine said.

“You’ve met Adriana?” Bian asked.

“Yeah,met her once already” Kaine replied.

“I’ve missed her,I can’t wait to get back there” Bian said.

“I know,but you don’t have to rush things okay?”

“I know brother,just that I’ve missed you,it’s not even a week yet and you’re making it hard since you don’t care to call” Bian muttered.

“I’m sorry,I’ve been busy” Kaine told him.

“Oh..I have to go brother,bye” Bian said and hung up before Kaine could say more.

He sighed and dropped his phone and started scrolling through his meeting appointments for tomorrow,Bluey had told him earlier in the day.

Kaine paused when he saw the person he was supposed to meet with…Hailey Eden.

She’s the successor of a popular billionaire,she’s the only child and she’s in charge of the company in general.

Kaine stared at her picture shortly before he continue scrolling.

His phone rang again and he groaned when he saw Raymond’s call,the Company President.

“I’m glad you’re not sleeping yet” Raymond said.

“Is there a problem?” Kaine asked.

“I just found out Hailey Eden made an appointment to meet with you tomorrow”

“So?”

“Are you kidding me?! Do you know who Hailey is? She’s the daughter of the Eden Groups! I mean,if we can get the Edens to partner with us,then we are untouchable. Can you please try really hard tomorrow to be nice to her at least? Some little smiles would do,I’m begging you” Raymond pleaded.

“That won’t be a problem then” Kaine said.

“Thank you!”

Kaine scoffed and hung up the call.

NEXT DAY, HAILEY’S MANSION*

Hailey’s stylist was busy with her hair while Hailey was on call,another person dressing her nails beautifully.

“Babe,are you serious right now?! You’re meeting Kaine Landon?! Isn’t that so fast?!” Her best friend, Jane screamed on the phone.

“I told you right? I’m gonna get him and that’s it,I want it…”

“You get it bitch!” Jane finished it and they both laughed.

“But are you sure he doesn’t have a girlfriend? I mean,He’s too hot to be single” Jane said.

“Like I care,whoever his girlfriend is,she can’t possibly be hotter than I am,screw her,she must be selfish if she wants him all to herself” Hailey replied.

“You’re a crazy type bitch”

“I know,don’t worry,I’m going to tell you every little thing,we are meeting in an hour time” Hailey said.

“Alright,I will be waiting” Jane blew her a kiss and Hailey hung up.

A smile was playing on her lips as she kept thinking about her beside Kaine.

AN HOUR LATER, NOVA TECH*

The driver hurriedly opened the car door for Kaine and he entered,Bluey followed and they sat down beside each other.

Soon the driver was already driving out of the company.

“Are we late?” Kaine asked softly without looking at her.

“Ten minutes late” Bluey replied.

Kaine said nothing and got even more busy on the phone,Bluey glanced at him shortly and also looked away.

“How’s Oliver?” Kaine suddenly asked and Bluey looked at him blankly.

“Or am I not allowed to ask about him? He’s cute” Kaine said.

“He’s….” Bluey was about to reply but Kaine was faster again.

” Oh sorry,it’s none of my business,sorry for asking” He said and Bluey said nothing.

Soon,they arrived at their destination and they both got down from the car.

👥 Mr Kaine is here!

The company staffs were all waiting for him already and they immediately gathered around,bowing and greeting as Kaine and Bluey were directed into the company.

Hailey also appeared with her own bodyguards from the opposite side,a wide smile stayed on her face as she approached Kaine,she stopped right in front of him.

“Hello Mr Landon” She smiled.

“Hi” Kaine replied and she blushed.

“Before we go straight to business,I made some preparations for us…..” She paused and looked at Bluey who also raised her brows.

“For the two of us,how about a drink together at the lounge?” She asked.

“No problem” Kaine said.

“Can we go without your secretary?” Hailey asked and Bluey glared immediately.

“No,,she have to come” Kaine replied.

“Oh,then come on” Hailey covered it up with a smile.

“Sexy lady first” Kaine said and Hailey blushed,she started walking in front and Kaine followed while their guards followed.

Bluey scoffed,looking so disgusted with the way Hailey was shaking her @ss in front of Kaine,and he seems to be enjoying the view.

“Can you please pour us some wine?” Hailey smiled at Bluey.

She was sitting opposite Kaine and Bluey in the lounge,the guards already stopped outside.

Bluey looked at Kaine but he didn’t glance at her,she stood up and did as Hailey said.

“I’m so happy to meet you Mr…..”

“You can just call me Kaine” Kaine cut in.

“That’s amazing,please call me Hailey too. I can’t wait to tell dad about this,he thought it wouldn’t be possible meeting you this fast” Hailey said and Kaine chuckled.

“He might really want to invite you for a dinner if I tell him about this” Hailey said.

“I don’t mind” Kaine said.

“Thank you!!!” Hailey gushed.

Bluey already left the couch for them,she was standing far from them,checking the time constantly while glaring at the way they kept on laughing.

‘So he can laugh out so loud? Interesting’ she thought.

“I can show you some of our collections,If we really get to do things together and your marketing team work with us,I can assure you that it’s a fifty fifty,I mean our company is a booster,just like yours” Hailey told Kaine as they both walked out of the lounge,Bluey was behind them.

“Just do whatever you want,I don’t mind like I said” Kaine said and Hailey blushed.

“You’re so cute” She pushed his chest slightly.

“You look pretty too” Kaine said.

“Thank you…..”

Bluey walked closer to Kaine.

“Sir,you have another meeting to attend in five minutes” She said.

“Oh” Hailey sighed sadly.

“It’s a pity you have to go now,but if I’m gonna get in touch,I got your contact” Hailey smiled.

“Then,enjoy the rest of your day” Kaine said,bringing out his hand for a shake.

Hailey moved closer and pecked his cheek,Bluey’s eyes widened,the craziest part was when Kaine smiled,even after that.

‘Whoa,now he’s taking his flirting to another level’ She thought and scoffed loudly.

Nat entered the CEO’s office and met one of his sluts just getting dressed after her work,he didn’t bother going back,it’s no more a new thing to him anyway.

“Boss” he bowed.

Jose there a bundle of notes to the girl and sent her out at once.

“Thanks daddy” She pecked his lips and grabbed her bag,then walked out of the office.

“Any news? Nat” Jose asked.

“I got some news about Kaine’s Secretary” Nat said and Jose nodded,giving him a go ahead.

“Her full name is Bluey Smith,according to her relationship status,she’s single….”

“I don’t care about her relationship you know?” Jose said.

“Right,but she has a son,no news about the father anyway” Nat said.

“A son? So where does she stay?”

“LLJ Estate,boss” Nat replied and Jose nodded.

“Listening to her information,it’s not going to be hard getting her at all,she probably needs money for her son up keeping,I don’t care about the son but it’s a way to trap her” Jose chuckled and Nat nodded.

Jose smirked and bite his lower lip.

2PM, MIRABEL FASHION STORE HOUSE*

Sapphire entered the store and was immediately greeted by the store assistants.

“Hello! Welcome to our store. How can we help you today?” they ask with a smile.

Sapphire removed her sunglass and looked around,it’s her first time coming here and she’s really not disappointed,it’s amazing.

The store is divided into different sections, so the assistants ask Sapphire what she is looking for.

“What would you like to get ma’am? Are you looking for clothes, shoes, accessories, or something else?” they inquire.

“Where’s your boss?” Sapphire asked and they exchanged glances.

“I’m sorry ma’am,but we are to show you around the store,not our boss” One of them answered.

“What’s going on here?” Adriana showed up,she paused when she saw Sapphire who immediately smiled at her.

“She’s not a stranger,I will take Care of her” She told the girls and they bowed before walking away.

“Is this a good visit or a bad one” Adriana crossed her arms.

“What do you mean? I’m getting a dress for myself. An important date coming and I don’t know what to wear” Sapphire said.

“Follow me” Adriana muttered and led the way.

They got to the dinner gown section.

“Wow” Sapphire mumbled.

“Pick anyone you want,I’m gonna get you your perfect size” Adriana said and Sapphire started checking.

“By the way” She started and Adriana raised her brows.

“You know Bluey had a child for Kaine right?” Sapphire asked,still not facing Adriana.

“What?!” Adriana’s eyes widened.

“Oh,you don’t know. Gosh that girl keeps too much secrets” Sapphire shook her head.

“Kaine is not aware either and they aren’t talking about it,I’m just sad. Maybe I should tell him by myself,what do you think?” She faced Adriana.

“I mean,automatically,they are a family already….”

“So why are you telling me all these?” Adriana asked.

“So you can back off,what else?” Sapphire smiled and picked the backless red dress.

“I love this one” She smiled.

Adriana rolled her eyes.

Mark and Goldie joined Bluey on the table where she was eating alone.

“Are you okay baby?” Goldie asked and Bluey looked up,her eyes met with Mark’s own and he smiled at her.

“Yeah,I’m fine. I’ve been busy all day,so I couldn’t see you guys” Bluey said.

“I knew you will get busier as soon as the CEO resumes,it’s happening already” Goldie chuckled.

“Can we join?!” Ivy asked,she was also holding her food tray as she sat beside Mark.

“Why asking when you already sat down?” Mark scoffed.

Lucy also joined them.

“Guys,what do you think about Mr Landon lately? For me,I think he’s cool” Ivy grinned.

“He’s my prince charming” Lucy said dreamily.

“Isn’t he being too arrogant? He hardly responds to greetings” Mark scoffed.

“Oh boy,I don’t care even if he ignore me,at least I get to see his face everything” Goldie gushed and others laughed aside Bluey and Mark.

“For real? He looks like a petty type” Mark scoffed.

“He’s not like that” Bluey immediately said and all eyes fell on her.

She blinked.

“You’re talking like you’ve known him for years” Ivy laughed.

“I mean…I’ve noticed he’s not petty,I’m his secretary so I’m kinda closer to him” Bluey cleared herself.

“Well,that’s true” Lucy nodded.

“Girl,you’re not crushing right?” Goldie asked.

“Huh?”

“We can’t be crushing on the same man” Goldie tapped her and Bluey chuckled.

“Of course not,I’m not crushing” She said.

Mark smiled.

6PM, CEO’S OFFICE*

The door opened and Bluey came into tbe office,Kaine was sitting on the chair,resting his back and watching as she walked closer.

“Here are the reports you requested for” She dropped a file on the table.

Kaine opened the file and started checking one after the other.

Bluey checked the time,she was in a hurry. Oliver is still with one of the staffs downstairs and she needs to go pick him.

Kaine dropped the file and looked at her.

“Not complete” He said.

“I’m going to give you the rest tomorrow” Bluey said.

“Why?”

“It’s getting late,I have to go pick Oliver and…..”

“Your private life is non of my fucking business,do your job” Kaine snapped and Bluey looked at him.

“What,isn’t that what you said? I thought it was a deal,not to care about our private lives which involves your son,,so why should I care if you have to pick him up or not?” Kaine asked.

“Can you please be considerate at least? I have to….”

“Dear miss Smith,if you are not okay with this,why not quit your job and focus on your son?” Kaine snapped.

“You’re so fucking….”

Kaine glared and she paused.

“Are you doing this on purpose?” Bluey asked.

“I can ask you the same,stop acting like the victim that you’re not” Kaine said.

“Who’s talking about Victim? Do you even know what I went through waiting for you all these years? Do You?”

“I can’t remember me telling you to wait for me,,and stop speaking as if you really waited,your son should be about three years old or four,I fucking left five years ago and you already got a son? Wow,such a wait it is” Kaine scoffed.

“So this is all about Oliver?”

“No,this is about you Bluey. If you’re not comfortable with me,you’re free to quit so we won’t see each other again,I’m sure we can survive without seeing each other…..”

“You’re so fucking cruel!!” Bluey yelled.

“Just because you survived all those years without feelings doesn’t mean I did! And after you returned,you started giving me attitude first,even without seeing my son,you totally acted like I was a stranger to you” Bluey said.

Kaine chuckled and got up,he walked over to her,she immediately shifted back.

“You mean you were expecting me to hug you when you kept reacting like I was here to kill you? Just like this?…” He tried touching her and Bluey shifted back.

Kaine laughed.

“I told you,you can’t touch me” Bluey muttered.

“So what exactly do you want?!” Kaine snapped and she flinched.

“You don’t want to talk to me and you want me to start being considerate? Why should I do that to another man’s woman? Why….”

“Just fucking stop it already, I’m not in any silly relationship,happy now?” Bluey glared.

“So Oliver? Where’s the dad?” Kaine asked.

Bluey said nothing.

“This will be the last time I will be asking you Bluey,who’s the father of Oliver?” He asked again.

“You didn’t run a check on me and Oliver right?” Bluey asked.

“As if I have time for that,If you have anything to tell me,use your mouth” Kaine said.

“Jerk” Bluey mumbled.

“I will let that pass” Kaine said.

“What are you going to do then?! Do you even know what I want to do to you?! I feel like hitting you all over!! Just how could you act so cool after leaving me for five years? Don’t I mean anything to you? Do I even mean something to you? Have you ever missed me?” She broke into tears.

“I thought we promised not to talk about our lives anymore” Kaine muttered and Bluey pushed his chest.

“I hate you so much,I hate the way you seems to make me weak no matter what I do,I hate it a lot” She cried and continue hitting him,tears rolling down her eyes.

“You don’t even know anything,you are so cruel,I hate you!”

Kaine pushed her against the wall and she looked up.

“Look straight into my eyes and say that again” He said,locking his sharp eyes on hers.

“Tell me you hate me,say it and I won’t disturb you again” He said.

“I hate you…devil” Bluey said.

“Your eyes are saying a different thing…devil’s barbie” Kaine said in a lower tone which sent shivers down Bluey’s spine.

“Am I wrong?” He asked.

“Let me go,leave me alone” Bluey muttered and tried looking away from him.

Kaine pulled her by the neck and smashed his lips on hers,melting Bluey at once.

He broke the kiss in an instant.

“I thought you are a wonder woman now…turns out you’re still as soft as a barbie” He mumbled.

“I hate you” Bluey said.

“You know that’s a lie” He smirked and squeezed her ass,making her moan.

“Screw you” she cursed.

“Screw your imaginary boyfriend because you’re mine” Kaine said before slamming his lips on hers again,Bluey responded in a more hungry way.
