PALACE*
Blake didn’t expect what he met when he arrived at the palace gate.
The guards refused to let him enter, and that only fueled his anger.
“What do you mean I can’t enter? What right do you smelly things have to stop a Prime Minister from entering the palace?
Did you forget I’m also the king’s best friend? I’ll kill you all and Kaden won’t ask me why!” Blake snapped.
“To hell with your mouth!” Rania’s voice boomed as she came out of the gate with six maids behind her.
She looks like she has been waiting for this day as she marched to him briskly.
“Queen Rania? You’re the one stopping my entry?” Blake said shockingly.
“Yes, what? Any decent minister should be in his house sleeping by now but nah, you decided to come here and disturb the king’s sleep even going as far as calling him by his name! Are you deranged?” Rania said.
“What!” Blake couldn’t believe his ears.
“The military guards surrounding the palace aren’t for show, so if you don’t get the hell away, I’ll tell them to beat you to death!” Rania said.
Without another word, Blake got back in his car.
First was Colt the son, and now Rania the mother?
Seems Leilani has two people to kill after all.
“Drive” he told his driver who immediately rode away.
“Irritating!” Rania spat, going back inside.

NEXT DAY*
A heavy rain has been falling since daybreak, and it seems like it’s not stopping anytime soon, it camped everyone inside their houses.
Colt didn’t bother to go to the palace since last night. He spent the night in an hotel with his clingy brothers.
Going to the palace will cost him a querying session with the king and he’s so not ready for it.
The fact that the prime minister is the king’s best friend will obviously make him take the issue seriously, and with the level of nonchalance in him, he might just insult the king too.
No… He’ll actually insult him so cooling off totally before going back is the best approach.
The rain prevented him from going to the office, but immediately it came down a bit at 6pm, he drove himself to the senator’s mansion to finish his unfinished business.
The guards by the entrance let him in when they saw his face, and he easily slipped into the house, meeting Senator Lucas at the grand dinning, eating dinner alone.
“Your highness” the man stood respectfully.
“Continue your meal, I’m here for Manson” Colt said with a slice of his dark smile.
“Manson? Didn’t know you both are already getting along, he should be in his room admiring himself as usual” Senator Lucas said.
Colt began climbing the stairs, perfectly hiding his intentions.
“It’s the third room” Senator Lucas said.
Colt kept up the slow walk, his shoes making no sound with the floor as he approached the door with destructive intent.
By the time he gets done with Manson, Senator Lucas will definitely run upstairs.
He finally got to Manson’s door and met it slightly open. From the middle space, he could see him.
Manson is parading the room with a small mirror in hand which he’s viewing his plastered face in.
“Can’t believe I won’t be able to go out till these woubds heal, I hate when people see me with wounds and my own father doesn’t even care” he said, dropping the mirror.
His eyes suddenly brightened.
“But someone actually cares” he said, getting his phone.
He lay back in bed, covering himself like he’s chronically ill, then he dialled Hailey’s line.
Colt stayed silent, watching him.
