“C’mon don’t be sad!” Trixie jumped on his back, and he groaned, holding her to himself.

“You’re so light” he laughed, and she kissed his hair.

“I hate heavy food and you know it” she said, kissing his hair again as he carried her on his back around the room.

Though, his mind is heavy with series of thoughts. The day Corey arrives is the day he dies…that’s for sure.

He wishes to tell her the truth before then, but it’s not that easy.

Trixie kissed his hair for the third time, and that brought him out of his thoughts with heavy laughter.

From the slightly open door, Maya could be seen looking at them blankly.

She has been there since some minutes ago.

She blinked before turning around, making her way back to her suite, but luckily for her, she bumped into Andrei.

He walked past her though, but she obviously wouldn’t take that.

“I’m sure you see me” she said, but he kept walking.

“Andrei!!!!!” She yelled crazily.

Sighing, he stopped to look back.

“You told Death that you don’t like me and I don’t like you. Why don’t we keep the shit that way. He warned me to stay away from you and I’m only obeying. Good morning” he said and then walked away.

Maya knowingly smiled, folding her arms as she watched his back.

“Is that…anger? He’s mad at me? Oh my gawd I love it. So cute” she muttered, smiling wider.

Adeline woke up to emptiness beside herself, and she just knew her suspicions are true.

Madden hates sleeping beside her after all. Does she disgust him that much that he can’t even wait till daybreak before leaving her side?

The top buttons of her shirt are open, spilling out her breàsts, so she quickly did the buttons and got down from the bed, but then she saw her phone blinking on the bedstand.

She went for it and saw a new text.

• Where are you, Adeline? I lost your contact since you left jail and I only just got it back. We need to talk about your parents involvement with Russia. Come see me as soon as possible~ Odessa.

Her eyes widened, and she dashed out of the room swiftly.

“Master?”

“Madden!”

“Where the fûck are…

Madden came out of the workroom, and she almost crashed into him, but she halted just in time.

His eyes are red like he didn’t have a sleep, and the ice is back in them. He looks like he’s pissed about something, but she’s too overwhelmed to notice.

“My aunt from my father’s side… She seems to know something about my parents involvement with The Pakhan…I have to fly to Colorado as soon as possible. Red-eye flight tonight if possible. I’ll be back in two days” she said, expecting him to go against it, but his answer took her off guard.

“As you wish” he said, walking past her to the bedroom.

Adeline turned slowly, looking confused as hell.

What’s going on again???

At exactly 6pm, Madden’s Audi drove to an halt at Moscow international airport.

Everything is still confusing to Adeline, but this is not the time to prob.

That’d wait till she’s back from this trip.

Madden even followed her…he’s currently beside her at the backseat.

Jinx and Loud are at the front, but as usual, they’re closed away.

Adeline looked at Madden when the car stopped, and he expected him to say something, but he stayed silent with his stony face, so she got her small backpack and opened the car door.

Before she could step down, Madden suddenly pulled her back by the wrist, so she came face-to-face with him, his scent choking her.

“Madden…

“Don’t go” he said, and she nearly screamed.

Is he mad? Why would he suddenly…

“Don’t go” he repeated, his strangling eyes settled on hers, and the look in his eyes are so fuçking different from anyone she has ever witnessed.

She almost melted completely….she almost kissed his sinfully hot lips, but if she does, then she’d be done for, so she locked up.

“Give me just one day… I’ll be back” she said, and with that, he let her go.

Her heart was slamming wildly as she finally stepped out, and maybe she’s running insane too, but she expected him to pull her back again, but it never happened.

She folded her fists as she walked to the airport main door, but then she slowly looked back, waving at Loud and Jinx in the front.
