The tinted backseat window is already closed, so she didn’t have a final glance at Madden’s face before Loud drove the car away.
She stood still for a minute before turning around, entering the airport.
Some minutes after she did, someone else came down from a taxi, carrying a backpack too and his head covered with his white hoodie.
It’s Corey, and he entered the airport too.

The drive back to the clan has only been ongoing for three minutes, but Madden felt uncomfortable for the whole three.
Though he confirmed the text Adeline received, and it’s really from Odessa, then he planted a tracker on her phone too, but still…
The lingering feeling that something is not right almost turned his head upside down, so he changed plans suddenly.
He’d just go to Colorado with her.
“Go back to the airport” he suddenly ordered, and Loud stopped the car abruptly.
He looked back with Jinx at the same time.
“Airport?” They chorused.
“Step on the fuçking gas and go back!” He snapped, his brows dangerously knitted.
With a rough turn, Loud rounded the highway and started driving back, but that was when it happened.
A burst of gunfire shattered through the air, and bullets hit the car body repeatedly, but thankfully it’s bulletproof, so it can’t penetrate.
“Shit!” Loud cursed.
“Who the fûck are these animals?” Jinx muttered, getting her gun from the straps.
Madden’s sharp eyes sighted the enemy so fast.
The gunshots are coming from another car from the left side,..a black Sedan.
“Stop the car” Madden ordered, but immediately Loud tried to do that, bullets hit the tyres, and they all went flat on the asphalt.
Loud ducked, instinctively hitting the gas. The car surged forward, narrowly avoiding a deadly head-on collision with a coming car before coming to a rough stop.
The enemies Sedan screeched to a stop too, tyres squealing loudly like the cry of a banshee.
At once, Madden came out of the Audi with Jinx and Loud.
Six masked guys came out of the Sedan, and immediately Madden saw them, he knew where they are from.
The cross tattoos on their necks is enough verification.
With boiling rage, showers of gunshots started.
The highway became a deadly battleground. Gunfire echoed through the night air, illuminating the darkness with flashes of light.
In a heart-stopping moment, Madden crossed to the other side, narrowly avoiding a massive truck, but he kept shooting though, swirling and swerving to avoid getting hit.
He fired a straight shot, hitting one of the enemies between the eyes, and that one dropped dead in the middle of the road__his blood coloured the gravel.
Madden targeted another one and fired again, bringing down the second one to the asphalt.
He fell dead just like the first one, and his head cracked open.
Their determination clashed with Madden’s fury, and it became fuçked up.
Loud’s bullet got one in the chest, and Jinx shot another one on the neck.
Now it’s two of the enemies left, but then the plot changed when they threw down a smoke bomb.
The bomb exploded with a wrecking energy, scattering cloudy thick smokes across the road.
It stings the eyes too like teargas, so Loud and Jinx stood still, trying to minimize the effect. They can’t even see each other.
Suddenly, they heard a car zooming off, and their senses went high on alert, but it was useless since they still can’t see anything beyond the smokes.
Three minutes later, the smokes cleared off, but Madden is nowhere to be found! And the enemies Sedan car is gone too!
“Where the fûck is Death!” Loud faced Jinx.
“No fuçking idea! No idea ok?!!” Jinx snapped, both facing each other in the middle of the now silent highway.
They were breathing heavily fast as the dreadful realization hit them.
“He got kidnapped” they muttered.
