Normally after flashbacks, his madness subsides, but in this case, it even worsened it cos right now the past is not the issue.
It’s the kiss picture, it won’t leave his head, and the more it appears in his skull, the madder he becomes.
“Madden!” Maya rushed into the manor, and he turned to the direction of her voice immediately.
His green veins are still dancing on his neck as he seized Maya murderously by the neck, suspending her midair as he slammed her against the wall. Her feet dangled helplessly at his mercy.
COREY AND ADELINE….
COREY AND ADELINE… KISSING!
Christ… He’s losing it!
The red light above them flickered, and Maya didn’t even struggle with him as her legs left the ground.
Seeing the green veins, she knew what was happening immediately, so she calmly allowed him to choke her as their eyes mirrored.
“Do it… Madden. Kill me if it’d make the noise in your head disappear. Do…it!” She grunted, her eyes turning around.
Madden choked her harder, and she smiled despite the fact that she’s really dying and losing breaths.
“Do it… Don’t hold back… Mayashenka will be fine…do it” she said carefully, closing her eyes.
Seems like the mention of Mayashenka made his chin recoil. His eyes blinked for the first time since it started, and his palm softened.
He let go of her neck, and she dropped on the ground, coughing as she held the red neck.
Madden turned his back immediately, walking back into his bedroom.
“I dunno what happened between you and Michael, I dunno where you got injected with the serum again, and I dunno when your head will calm down this time, but don’t take too long” she said, standing up.
He kept walking without replying, so she talked again.
“If I lose you, I’ll lose myself__ no, I’ll actually kill myself, so get out of your head soon” she said as he entered the bedroom.
He shut the door loudly, and she sighed before leaving the manor.
Madden picked the picture from where he dropped it earlier on the bedroom floor, and he got his lighter, setting both the picture and envelope on fire before dumping it on the ground.
He lightened a cigar from the fire, smoking as he left the room.
He went to his office, got his laptop and began making searches.
Whoever sent the pictures to provoke him knows how sensitive he is, and the most suspicious person is Corey, but why does it feel like it’s not him?
His intuitions are always right, and he chose to believe it again this time.
The Masked Monster sent the picture, and whoever it is… Corey knows.
The fact that the picture was printed using Russian paper means the Masked Monster is in Russia too, and sending this means she’s aware of Adeline’s real identity.
But most importantly… The fact that Corey and the Masked Monster are both hiding in Russia without giving him any trace of their hideout means they’re both getting protection from the same person.
Erik.
Erik is the only one with that much power in the whole of Russia, but nothing good will come out of Erik anyways.
For Corey and the Masked Monster to willingly come out of their holes, Erik has to die.
He shut down the laptop and rested back on the chair, throwing his head back on the backrest.
His hair sprawled all-over his eyes as he smoked sinfully.
