News of Erik’s death travelled far and wide across the underworld, and it also reached this place, so the activities are maximized right now.
In the theater, Gianna and Corey are still unconscious in their individual beds after their successful surgeries, but then Corey’s eyes suddenly opened.
He made to stand, but he couldn’t cos of the pains he felt from his stitched chest.
The wall screen came on, and Nazeera’s back view came to view.
“You can’t kill Ade. You know how I feel about her” Corey said.
“She doesn’t feel the same way! She’s stuck with Madden, which is why she needs to die! It’s a good thing she wasn’t killed yesterday. Now that Erik is dead, she’d be the big bait to humble Madden” Nazeera said, and Corey’s eyes widened.
“Father is … Father is…dead?”
“Yeah… Autopsy said he died of seizure, but Klara did it. I know the exact poison she used. She must have fermented it for several years, which is why it did a perfect job” Nazeera replied.
“Then… It’s high time we reveal my identity to The Bratva. Tell them I’m the only son of Erik!” Corey snarled.
“No. We do this step by step. The day we reveal your identity, is the same day we reveal Adeline’s real gender too. I’m killing two birds with a stone” Nazeera replied.
“And I said no one is touching Ade!! Instead of revealing her, just capture her and give her to me!” Corey replied, but then the screen went off.
“Mother? Mother!!! Mother!!!” He yelled, but the screen never came on again.
He tried standing for the second time, and pains sent his back to the pillow again.
He gritted his jaws so hard, fisting the covers…
“No one is touching her… No one is touching Ade” he muttered.

Sergei didn’t get the news on the bulletin till this morning, and when he did, he boned his face like he didn’t hear anything.
Erik’s death was expected.
He knew Klara would do this sooner or later, and the fact that the autopsy said Erik died of seizure is another confirmation.
Erik has no health complications. He’s the healthiest Pakhan to ever reign.
“Grandpa, is something wrong?” Angelika asked from the dinning.
She’s eating breakfast at the dinning with maids flocking around her.
“No dear… Everything is perfectly fine, just that… The Pakhan is dead” Sergei said.
“Really? Does that mean Madden will become the new Pakhan now? He might be wicked, but he’s the only one with the traits of a leader in that compound” she slowly said, and Sergei smiled, sitting in front of her.
“Really?”
“Yes. Igor kicked me once, but despite Madden’s heartlessness, he never hurt me” she replied, and Sergei smiled again, then a guard came in.
“Sir, godmother is here” he reported, and Sergei stood immediately.
He rushed out of the house to meet Klara outside, wearing pure white is if she didn’t witness Erik’s death.
“If you’re here to introduce yourself to Angelika as her grandma, then this is not a good timing” he said, but the theory changed when Klara grabbed him by the shoulders, pushing him back till his back crashed on the nearest pilla.
“Klara!!!” He grunted as his blood stained his black shirt behind.
His guards outside couldn’t dare move. It’s the godmother anyways.
They move, they die.
“What are you not telling me about Ivan? What are you not telling me about my husband and who is Nazeera!” She demanded, and Sergei’s eyes widened.
“How did you know about… about… Nazeera?”
Klara slowly released him, her eyes red.
“Is she truly… Ivan’s other woman? Ivan cheated on me with her and then she went ahead and tormented my kids? She injected them with madness, Sergei! Maya is still curable cos she only received it for a year, but she injected Madden for four good years with two shots!! If he experiences something too triggering, do you know what happens? He’d run mad for real! Only a thin thread is holding his remaining sanity together!!” She thundered.
“I was the third wheel in the friendship back then, Klara. Erik and Ivan were the close ones, and if anyone knows Nazeera’s full story, it’s Erik. But one thing is for sure… Nazeera is only taking revenge of what your husband did to her… Ivan wasn’t a saint, Klara” Sergei said.
“What are you talking about?” Klara swallowed emptiness.
“The burial has been scheduled for tomorrow, right? Let’s talk after the burial” Sergei replied.
“Grandpa?” Angelika came out, and Klara gathered herself.
She didn’t give Angelika a glance before going down the stairs, and her guards followed.
Her car drove out of the estate, and as she’s leaving, another car drove in.
