“Who’s that?” Angelika mumbled cos it’s not only one car.
Three other vans followed that car inside, and at the back of the vans, there are soldier men, all looking dangerous in their uniforms and holding their ammunition.
“Who’re they, grandpa?” Angelika asked again, but she still didn’t get any answer cos Sergei was staring too.
The front door of the first car opened, and a woman stepped down, wearing the soldier uniform too and glasses.
Even in the soldier uniform, it’s obvious that she’s curvy… Her hips are showing__her body is attractive.
She’s got black hair which was tied in a low bun under her cap, sharp jaws and nails. She looks strict, and she’s wearing a ring on her ring finger, too.
The ten soldiers inside the other vans jumped down, and they all lined at tension in front of Sergei.
They saluted in sync…
“Sir!” They chorused respectfully, and Sergei smiled.
Angelika’s heart was beating fast as realization hit her.
“M..mommy?”
The woman smiled at her before opening the second door of the car, and a boy came out, frowny and so damn handsome.
“Mommy!!” Angelika shouted, and tears were already streaming down her eyes as she ran down the stairs.
The woman squatted, and Angelika flew excitedly into her arms. Angelika almost entered her as she hugged her dearly.
“Oh dear…I missed you” the woman said, and Sergei went down the stairs too, beaming with smiles.
“Welcome back home, Zoya. I never knew you’d be arriving early like this” he smiled.
“I’ve been in town since yesterday, father” Zoya smiled, and Sergei carried the young boy.
“How are you doing, Aleksandr?” He stroked his hair fondly.
“Is that my twin sister, Angelika?” Aleksandr asked, pointing at Angelika in Zoya’s arms.
“Yes” Sergei smiled.
“I…I have a twin?” Angelika sniffled, and Zoya smiled.
“Yes, sweetheart. His name’s Aleksandr. Call him Aleks for short” she said.
“Hi, Aleks” Angelika waved.
“Hi, Angel” Aleksandr waved back, and Angelika smiled at him, but Aleksandr never smiled.
It’s like he’s allergic to smiling.
“He takes after his father too much” Sergei grinned.
“My husband? How’s he doing? I heard about Erik’s death” Zoya asked.
“You’ll find out tomorrow, at the burial” Sergei replied.
“Your husband? You mean… My daddy?” Angelika asked quickly, and Zoya smiled with a nod.
“Yeah. My Madden Smirnov” She replied, waving her ring.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER, INSIDE THE HOUSE*
Zoya and Sergei already went upstairs, and the other soldiers has been directed to stay at the annex.
Angelika is sitting on a couch in the living room, looking sullen.
She’s picking on her nails while Aleksandr is walking around the living room, hands tucked in his pockets with grim face like he’s the saddest person on earth.
He was about to take another turn when he noticed Angelika, so he walked to her and stood in front of her.
“Are you ok?” He asked, and she looked up.
“Death… He was the last person I expected to be my father.” she shook her head.
“Why?” Aleksandr settled beside her.
“He likes shedding blood too much, and he’s cruel. You should see the way he kills” she muttered, and Aleksandr sighed.
“I love blood, and i can’t wait to meet him” he grimly said.
“Really? But aren’t we just six year olds? How do you love blood?” She blinked.
“Simple. I grew up at the Base with mum, and I witnessed a lot of blood.” he said freely.
“Coco melon is my favorite cartoon, what about yours?” She suddenly asked.
“I hate cartoons, but I love captain America, the civil war”
“Oh… War film?”
“Yeah, and before you ask what my favorite toy is… I hate toys too, they’re stupid” he curtly said.
“I have plenty of toys, but my yellow feather pillow is my favorite. It makes me sleep well at night, and I gave it a name… Poppi” she smiled, and he stroked her hair.
“I’ll teach you how to handle a gun. You need it” he said.
“You…can do that too?” Her eyes widened in awe.
He nodded.
