Klara sighed and rolled up the sleeve of her right arm.
The gunshot wound scar is still there, a reminder of her stupidity that year.
The car finally zoomed into the compound, and as expected, it’s full of dignitaries from The Bratva, chatting in groups.
Immediately she stepped down, she was surrounded by most of the men, and she began leading them to her office.
On her way there, she sighted Igor standing in front of the power house, glaring hatefully at her.
She entered the house anyways, but Igor’s glare didn’t stop till Andrei joined him.
“I called the consigliere like you asked, but he wasn’t answering” he reported.
“I’ll call him myself. I need to see father’s vote by myself, though I’m sure I own it” Igor replied and left.
Andrei suddenly felt arms around himself from behind, and he slowly removed the arms before turning to meet the expected face.
Maya.
He checked out her hands for any sign of new cuts, but there was none, so he smiled.
“I like it when you smile” she suddenly said, and the smile faded as he looked at her to see her smiling too.
She looks radiant.
He was still holding her hands when she craned her neck up a little bit, giving him a pure peck on the right cheek.
“Have fun, I need to go pick my dress for the burial. Don’t miss me too much” she smiled again, walking away.
Andrei’s smile immediately returned to his face as he watched her till she disappeared into her suite.

KITCHEN*
The trampoline is full of mobsters again.
No one wants to miss a moment of the sightseeing.
The important men who’re pouring into the compound every minute are much, and Adeline is busy feeding her eyes.
She hasn’t seen anyone of them before,.. The Bratva is really large, or maybe she’s not really staring at the men.
Maybe she’s staring at the one whose tousled hair covered his right eye… The one who’s wearing a sleek suit, the tallest one, the one with the most attractive accent… The youngest and the most handsome.
Madden.
He’s with like five other men right now in front of house of Orlovs, and whatever they’re discussing is none of her business.
She just wants to keep watching her attractive man like this.
There’s nothing as refreshing as seeing Madden in a suit. It fits him in all damn cuts, but he hates it.
He’s starting to get uncomfortable with it, cos she saw him undo the first three buttons of the dress shirt like his habit.
Seeing his dark chest tattoos made her soak underneath.
There’s a sick type of thrill that comes with seeing his tattoos in the bedroom, but seeing it outside like this felt too much, and she almost went there to button up for him.
That shouldn’t be for all eyes, at all.
She smiled at her own insane thoughts and bit her upper lip, then Madden made a slight turn, and their eyes met.
She blinked immediately she got caught, and she was about to look away in embarrassment when she saw the corner of his lips curl up in a slight…
Smile?
Madden Smirnov… Smiled?
Fûck! She should have photographed that and kept it in her skull, but before she could, he already entered the house of Orlovs with the men.
She smiled widely, finally facing the rest, and she was shocked to see all eyes on herself.
Poe, Jinx, Loud, Malik…
“I… Need to use the washroom” she awkwardly said and stood.
“Micheal!” Trixie appeared that moment.
“We meet later” Adeline replied and left the trampoline.
She bumped into Lady Selesta, and the lady held her.
“Your cheeks are flushed” she said.
“I’m fine” Adeline replied and released herself.
Instead of going to the restroom, she made her way to the manor.
She needs to keep her eyes away from Madden publicly at this rate.
But what to do? He’s illegally attractive, and her attraction to him is getting worse these days.
