Madden wasn’t even blinking as he stared obsessively at her features…

Full eyebrows, blue eyes, fade freckles, full red lips, round face and short chin.

He suddenly found a big reason to smile, and immediately the smile appeared on his face, Adeline kissed it.

She kissed his lips… No… Her lips.

His lips is hers.

She kissed him, and the raindrops tripled, then it began raining.

It’s not an heavy rain, but it got them wet within seconds.

Their lips made a quick pop when Madden broke the kiss and pulled her into the car.

He drove them out of that zone to the streets where almost everybody is walking with umbrellas cos of the rain.

He stopped the car, and Adeline looked at him.

“I know you love the rain” he said, and she smiled widely before stepping out of the car.

They’re in the city square right now, so she stood in the middle, spreading her arms and allowing the rain to beat her.

Her eyes were already closed when Madden came out of the car and joined her.

He stood in front of her, staring at her closed eyes in the rain.

Suddenly, the rain isn’t that bad, the rain felt like the best thing he has ever experienced.

Adeline opened her eyes and jumped into his arms, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.

“I don’t know what’s coming for me tomorrow, but please…I need you more than ever now” she whispered.

“I’d rather suffer in the pit of hades than let anyone from The Bratva touch you… Addie” he replied, holding her tight as her hold on him got tighter too.

“I love you so much, Madden…” She confessed again, bringing her face back to him.

“I didn’t say it to hear you say it back. I said it so you’d know how I feel” she said, and he gave her a different look through his wet lashes.

She was breathless when Madden crashed his lips on hers, kissing her properly this time.

Immediately their tongues began swiping repeatedly, she knew it was gonna be a long kiss, so she held to his hair for balance.

The rain continued beating them, and as they kissed obsessively in it, a loud thunder boomed, tightening the bond of their souls.

Corey’s white car looks like it paraded ghost town as he drove into the garage.

The car body is smudged with muddy water, and he was still wiping the tears in his eyes as he jumped out of the car, going into the building with rainwater dripping from him.

He didn’t bother using the dry-cleaning service at the door, so he was messing up everywhere he stepped on as he went deeper inside.

The workers are still busy posting about Adeline on their servers, so no one gave him attention till he got to the main office where Gianna and several others are.

“Corey! What the fûck! Why are you wet?” Gianna gasped with wide eyes, and the others faced him too.

Corey took a look at the systems, and when he saw the posts are almost done, he stepped back.

“Carry on” he said, leaving the room.

“Is he trying to get himself killed because of Adeline?” Gianna scoffed.

Madden ran a warm bath for Adeline immediately they got back to the manor.

She looks tired with all the happenings of today, and also… She might love the rain but she’s intolerant to it, so she got the flu.

He offered to bath her, and she objected after stripping herself totally…

“I’m not sick, Madden. I can bath myself” she said.

“I’m not asking asking.” He replied bluntly, sweeping her up in his arms.

He carried her into the bathroom and gave her the warmest bath ever, his hands feeling so soothing to her skin.
