“I have plans to find her and murder her before you and your siblings even meet her” Madden continued, and Igor rushed to him, grabbing him by the collar.
“Stop talking bastard! Damn stop talking!!” He yelled desperately, and Madden smirked again
“Why are you getting scared? Your father killed my father, and killing your mother would make up for it” he said, removing Igor’s hands from his shirt.
He went straight to Adeline and took her hand, walking out of the office with her.
Igor left the office too, and Klara sat back on her chair.
She’s sure she inhaled Micheal’s scent when he landed at her feet earlier.
Purple… He scents like purple., and something feels strange about it.

Madden let go of Adeline’s hand once they were out of the house, and his eyes immediately caught the red swell on her cheek, caused by the belt.
“What the hell is that?” He frowned, and she touched the swell with her right hand.
“I hit my face on the door” she lied.
“Just how daft do you think I am to believe that shit?” His frown deepened.
“Can I eat with you tonight?” She replied, changing the subject while holding eyes with him.
She saw his brows tilt, and his eyes shifted slightly.
“I… have something to discuss with you over dinner. Please” she begged.
“Tell Selesta to serve dinner then” he replied and left her there.
Adeline let out all the breaths she has been holding, folding and fisting her palm repeatedly as she watched him walk away.
Trixie’s words haunted her again…
“MADDEN IS COREY. EVER HEARD OF FACIAL RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY? HE DID THAT. HE CHANGED HIS FACE”
Just how stupid has she been? To think she was starting to sink into his trap again for the second time.
The tounging at the saloon was the worse, and how he saw her half-naked already.
He did surgery? Did that also change his eye color or did he deceive her with lenses too?
Now it’s obvious why he took her under his wing.
He wants to make sure she’ll never be able to go far, and it’s true.
No matter how long she trains, she’d never be able to beat Madden Smirnov, aka Corey.
She’d finish him off once and for all, and then the clan can do whatever they want with her
She was raging as she made her way to the kitchen.
Loud and Jinx are there, stuffing their faces with food.
Angelika is with them.
“Micheal!” She beamed immediately.
Adeline didn’t even look her way.
Loud and Jinx noticed her sour mood too.
“Are you ok Mich?” Jinx asked.
“Buddy” Loud stood.
“Where’s Lady Selesta?” Adeline asked.
“In the inner kitchen” Jinx replied, and Adeline went in to meet her
She already packed Madden’s dinner into a pearl basket, ready to take it to the mountain.
“I’ll take it” she said.
“Really? Thank you Michael” Selesta smiled, not arguing before handing her the pearl basket.
Adeline left the kitchen through the backdoor to avoid further questions from Loud and Jinx.
She made her way back to the manor, and while walking through the forest, she snuck into the blind spot where she dropped the basket.
She brought out Madden’s cross necklace from her pocket.
Actually, she picked it from the ground when they where leaving the CEO’s hallway yesterday in Alaska.
Must have fallen from him during the fight.
She planned to give it back to him, but now it’s gonna serve a better purpose.
She opened the right cross and poured the black poison into all the dishes, including the drinking water.
She packed it back, climbing the mountain with the basket.
Surprisingly, she met the door open when she arrived, and she slipped in.
She’d have gone straight to his bedroom, but she heard classical music from his workroom, so she went there and met him inside.
He’s busy moulding a porcelain, and his attention is zeroed on his masterpiece.
