Igor staggered on the door, looking up with wet eyes.

“Father…

“I have always known you’re useless! Useless! I gave you the opportunity to prove your worth to me countless times, but what did you do? You disgraced me! Do you know how much the goods are worth? Trillions! Madden will never release them cos he believes they belong to his father, and yunno what this clan will experience from now on? Mockery! You irritate me!” Erik pushed him back.

Igor weakly fell out of the office, and Erik shut the door.

At this rate, Madden will eliminate anybody to get to the top.

He’s not joking, meaning he has to up his game too.

He has to reveal the real third child very soon.

He has to send Trixie away and bring in his real third child.

IGOR’S SUITE*

Close to ten bottles of alcohol are on the ground, and they’ve all been drained by Igor who’s laying flat in the middle of it all, drunk.

He’s laughing sillily from time to time, and there’s another bottle in his right hand which he’s gulping greedily.

His cheek is red from Erik’s slaps.

He looks pathetic as he drowned himself in the intoxication, and he was about to drink from the bottle again when Kimberly came in with Andrei.

Sin and Trixie followed behind, and the clicked their tongues when they saw his state.

“He probably received an earful from father” Trixie said.

Kimberly took the bottle from him and sat down beside him, trying to calm him.

“I still don’t understand how Madd got to the bayou before us” Sin wondered aloud.

“He probably knows of a shortcut that we don’t” Andrei replied.

“For someone who spent his childhood in the basement, he knows too much” Sin said.

“He didn’t spend everything there entirely, remember? He came out when he turned ten and trained himself” Trixie replied.

“He trained himself to be this strong?” Andrei asked surprisingly.

“Yeah, cos father never wanted him to train. Father didn’t get him trainers like Igor” Sin shrugged.

“And rumours said he saw the devil while in the basement. Maya saw it too in her room. You can’t blame them for being mad especially Madden” He said again and pulled Trixie.

“Let’s go”.

He left the suite with her, and Kimberly looked up.

“You should go, I’ll take care of him” she told Andrei.

“I’ll repeat the warning I always give you. Kill your feelings for Igor. He won’t reciprocate” Andrei replied and left the suite too.

Kimberly sighed, stroking Igor’s hair. He’s already asleep, saying nonsense in his drunk-sleep state.

“He got hit by The Pakhan cos of Adeline and Death… Isn’t Adeline biting more than she can chew? How dare she choke me?” she muttered.

Her eyes were hateful as she spoke.

She took another look at Igor and leaned down to place a kiss on his lips, then she smiled slowly.

“Don’t worry… I’ll stay by your side, always”

SIN’S SUITE*

“I’m starving!” Sin literally shouted, sitting in front of Trixie’s playstation with the controller in his hand.

There’s a bowl of sushki beside him which he’s crunching on as he played.

“You think you have the right to ask for food when we just failed a mission?” Trixie’s voice came from the bedroom.

“You mean because Igor’s mission failed, I should die of hunger? C’mon, Igor is the one obsessed with becoming the future Pakhan, not me” Sin replied, and he heard Trixie cackle.

“I’ll change my clothes, then we can go to the kitchen together” she said, and Sin nodded, throwing another piece of the snack into his mouth.

His phone buzzed beside him, and he grumbled without checking, but a minute later, it buzzed again.

“Who the heck” he dropped the controller and got his phone, pressing it on to check.

His heart flew immediately he saw the text, definitely sent from a burner phone.

• How have you been living after framing me for what I didn’t do, Sinclair?

Sin’s fingers were shaking as he typed a reply.

Sin: Corey?

He got a reply immediately.

• Glad you still recognize my mode of texting. I’ll see you soon, and get ready to be tortured.

The phone fell from Sin, and he swallowed, then Trixie came out of the bedroom.

“You ok?” She asked immediately.

Sin didn’t reply before picking the phone them running out of the suite.

“Sinclair!” Trixie went after him.
