Few minutes later…

They were eating in the dining table with Alecia talking on and on, ignoring the table manners.

“Reyna is cool, a sweet soul. I like her…” She said and Leroy only nodded, not like he was even concentrated in what she was saying, he just loves her vibes.

“Have I told you the storyline?” She suddenly asked and Leroy shook his head negatively.

“Oh… Actually, it’s a love triangle story, a complicated one at that. Two sisters for a guy, Reyna, Jasper and I.” She said and Leroy’s eyes bulged as if he just processed what she said.

“Did I just hear you say love?? A ro..mance movie??!” He screamed in shock.

“Of course.” Alecia grinned.

“Wait, you’re gonna be acting a romance movie??” He asked and she nodded.

“Yes. Are you expecting me to act ho..rror or something?” She asked.

“No way!” He blurted and Alecia looked at him.

“Why? Why don’t you want me to act again, it’s not like I-” She paused and looked at him.

Her eyes suddenly widened.

“Wait, don’t tell me you’re jealous now, you’re playing a possessive husband?? I thought it was a fake marriage?” She asked with a smirk and Leroy’s eyes widened when his actions came clear to him.

“Wh–hat are you saying??” He stuttered, his cheeks turning red and Alecia clapped her hands.

“Yo!! You’re blushing!” She squealed and he touched his lips, embarrassed.

“No freaking way! You’re blushing, geez!” She laughed.

“Tell me Leroy, do you love me?” She suddenly asked, and that caught Leroy off guard.

He raised a brow.

“Love you?” He scoffed.

“C’mon, don’t be shy. I’ll understand if you love me, I’m beautiful, sweet and sèxy. Who won’t love me?” She asked and Leroy bursted into laughter.

“Laugh, it’s difficult for you to accept the fact that you got swayed the very first day you saw me, so you married me instead of your bride.

I understand dear, it’s not easy to accept that you fell in love at first sight, especially for a beautiful lady like me. It’s understandable.” She blabbered.

Leroy stared completely astonished.

“Who’s fooling you? Have anyone told you that your face has been pleading for a plastic surgery?? You have a face which only your mamma can love.” He said and she gritted, throwing her fork at him.

“You scvm!”

EVIE’S MANSION

“Wow. Is this where you stay?” Anamika, Valerie fake mom asked as soon as Valerie’s car stopped in front of the compound.

“It’s Zhang we’re talking about here. What do you expect??” Valerie asked, loosened her seatbelt.

Anamika did as well and got down from the car, wowing the house.

“You shouldn’t stare like that. Don’t make it obvious that you’re from the slum.” Valerie whispered behind her and the woman stepped on her toe, making Valerie yelped.

“You shouldn’t talk to me like that, you know I know your secret.” Anamika whispered and Valerie rolled her eyes.

“Let’s go.” Anamika smiled, as tho nothing happened and the two walked into the house.

“C’mon, Leo. Eat please.” Jane begged Leo who was repulsive on eating his food.

“What’s it?” Jane asked.

“When is mom coming back?” He asked and Jane kept quiet.

Valerie looked at him, he looked sad. Who wouldn’t, she knew how she loved being with her mom when she was little, she loved following her around, so she understood him very well.

She missed him the same way he missed her. Evie wasn’t even playing a good mom in anyway.

“What’s wrong Jane?” Valerie asked.

“Ma’am, he wouldn’t eat since he got back from school.” Jane said and Valerie squatted to his level.

“Baby, why don’t you wanna eat?” He asked and Leo blinked his teary eyes.

“What? Are you crying?” Valerie asked.

“My mommy. I wanna meet my mommy.” He cried and Valerie pulled him to a hug.

“C’mon baby, don’t cry. Mommy is coming for you.” Valerie assured, rubbing his back but he wouldn’t stop crying.

“Mommy…”

“Baby please don’t cry.” Valerie begged, she was slowly tearing up.
