“Isobel is not in the list of students who got killed by the midnight killer after all… I killed the bîtch” Lorraine further said, laughing scornfully again.
Her brows suddenly went furrowed.
“But then…who’s this midnight killer? He has killed more than hundred students. Where is he hiding?” She wondered loudly, sitting in bed.
A faint rumble sounded in the sky, seems like it’s gonna rain.

ATTIC*
The faint rumble made Slade open his eyes, and he separated Twilight’s fingers that are interlocked on his tummy.
Twilight reacted with a gasp, and he began pulling her out.
“Don’t chase me… Killa” she protested again.
Hee said nothing till he got to the door and pushed her out, shutting the door.
“Killa! Kils!” She hit the door.
She felt something at her feet, and she looked down to see Onyx, the cat.
It’s sitting beside her feet, rubbing it’s fur on her.
She picked it up, and the cat folded comfortably in her arm, making her smile a little.
She looked at the door, and she blankly turned around, going down the short stairs.
Immediately she entered the elevator, Slade came out of the attic moodily.
He immediately realized she left with Onyx, then another rumble happened in the sky, louder than the first one.
Instantly, a light rain started.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he took it out to see a text from Elijah.
Eli: Aimee asked me to tell you TO HELL WITH YOU, anyways…I miss you, and it’s so lonely here in the infirmary. Do students even get sick? Or do I need to release a virus and make them sick so they’ll come for treatment?
Slade pocketed the phone and got a black umbrella from the door side.
He left the attic.

TWILIGHT’S ROOM*
Before Twilight arrived, the rain went turned heavy, and it’s booming thunder aggressively in the sky.
The time is currently 6am, but there’s still no sign of daylight as a result of the dark rainy cloud.
Twilight entered the room with Onyx, but surprisingly, Echo is not inside.
“Stay here” she placed the cat on her bed, looking around.
She heard shaky breaths from a corner in the room and turned on additional lights, only to see Echo squatting in that corner, shaking and curled up like a ball.
“Echo!” She rushed to her.
Another thunder clapped in the sky, and Echo cried out fearfully.
“Chill, I’m here” Twilight hugged her protectively.
“Thunder scares me too much. I hate it” Echo cried, sniffling.
“I understand. I once used to be scared of thunderclap too, but my mama helped me overcome it. She slept beside me every rainy night and sang lullabies” Twilight smiled.
“My mother died before I could even meet her, and my father married another wife. The new wife is my hell, she hates me too much. I escaped from home and came here to escape her evilness” Echo explained.
“So what are you gonna do when we get breaks or graduate?” Twilight asked.
“If we get breaks, I’ll just… I’ll follow you home, and when we graduate, I’ll get a better paying job in the city and take care of myself. I’m not going back to that house” Echo replied.
“You’ll follow me home during breaks?” Twilight blinked.
“Yeah, and after we graduate, let’s go to the city together and work in the same place” Echo said.
Twilight smiled.
“Sure”
“And…I have a boyfriend in this school” Echo confessed.
“Really? Who?” Twilight asked surprisingly.
“He told me to keep it a secret, but whenever he’s ready, I’ll show him to you first” Echo replied.
“Fine”
“And about Prof Luther, just be careful. I don’t want you to regret” Echo advised.
“Hmm” Twilight breathed out, standing up.
