HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 21 – 30
“So you like spice?” Tamlin asked behind her, and she turned to face him.
“Mind your business” she replied.
He was about to do something silly when Lady Lorraine stormed into the library with her two famous guards.
Tamlin quickly covered Twilight, but his energy didn’t match their own cos the guards easily threw him off.
Lorraine arrived at Twilight’s face and dazed her face with a stinging slap which made Twilight gasp.
Before she could recover from that one, Lorraine slapped her again on that same cheek.
“Mother!” Tamlin yelled behind.
Ruslan just sat calmly on the table, watching everything silently.
Lorraine slapped Twilight for the third time, and her lips bled.
Her hands were itching to slap back, but she just can’t. Her father didn’t teach her that way.
“Are you done?” She told Lorraine after the third slap.
“Talking should be forbidden for you after what you did. How dare you lay your filthy hands on Slade! How dare you!!!” Lorraine barked.
“I did nothing wrong. I only did what he does to other people, and now I’m guilty? Yunno what? I’m unapologetic about it and I’m gonna remain that way till the end” Twilight bit back, and Lorraine raised her hand on her for the fourth time.
Before she could land the slap, Lord Vann came into the library.
“Stop it, Lorraine” he said, and the woman turned back with a smirk.
“Again? Really? Tell me are you in love with her? Why always defending her!!” She yelled.
“She killed the monster who kills students. As a matter of fact, the monster killed her friend first so she had every right to off him.” Vann said.
“Slade is not a killer, he’s not” Lorraine said and pushed Vann out of the way before waltzing out of the library.
“Good job, Twilight” Lord Vann said, and Twilight gave him a slight bow before he left the library.
“Twi!” Echo rushed in with Rihannon and Damien.
“Echo” Twilight rushed to her, and they hugged.
“Glad you’re still alive” Echo said, and Twilight smiled.
“I knew I’d be alive” she said, she Echo grinned as she pulled her out
Rihannon and Damien looked at Tamlin, and Tamlin kept up a blank look as the two exited the library.
“Rihannon and Damien, those two seems to be hiding something. They’re not afraid of you or me, and it’s bothersome” Ruslan spoke up.
“Leave, I need my alone time” Tamlin said, and Ruslan didn’t even argue before leaving the library.
Tamlin faced the low windows, staring out of it as sadness arrived at his face again.
“I love you, Lin” a female voice echoed in his mind, and he gritted his teeth, bringing a small picture out of his pocket.
In the picture, there’s a girl who looks a lot like Twilight, and her smile is contagious.
It made him smile too as he stared down at it, rubbing her face.
“Isobel” he whispered, bringing it to his lips to kiss.
