BACK AT THE CASTLE*
“Why the hell are you asking me about the girls? Where did they go? Did you take them somewhere?” Damien demanded with a hardcore glare.
“I didn’t take them anywhere so just tell me if they’re back or not” Tamlin replied.
He arrived two minutes ago and couldn’t find the girls in their rooms which scared him so much.
Damien won’t give him breathing space too so it’s all fucked up.
“Why are you asking me if they’re back if you didn’t take them anywhere? Do I look like a kid?” Damien demanded again, grabbing Tamlin by the collar.
“Let go of me idiot!” Tamlin pushed him off and proceeded to throwing a blow at his face.
Damien’s lips bled, but he didn’t wait to nurse it before returning the blow to Tamlin’s face.
“Shit!” Tamlin groaned as his lips bled out too.
“If you don’t provide the girls in two minutes, then we’ll kill each other here” Damien swallowed.
“You two!” Rihannon climbed the stairs with the girls, and Damien gasped.
“Rihannon!” He rushed to her.
“I’m fine, you fought with Tamlin again?” She said, and he hugged her.
“Twilight, are you ok?” Tamlin went over to Twilight, and she nodded.
He moved closer, hesitating before finally pulling her into a hug. Twilight didn’t move away.
“Thanks for staying safe from that animal” he muttered, shutting his eyes as he began stroking her hair.
Twilight hugged him back, and that fleeting moment, she wished he’d turn out to be her dream guy.
He’s handsome, rich, considerate..he might be a jerk to others but at least he’s nice to her.
She hugged him tighter, and Tamlin inhaled her jasmine scent so hard that his nose nearly bled.
Echo just stood in the middle of the two pair and watched them with a sad smile, wishing Ruslan was here to comfort her too.
“I told you to never go anywhere without me, it’s late at night!” Damien scolded after he broke the hug with Rihannon.
“Don’t even scold… I’m fine and the monster didn’t eat me” she replied.
“But…
“Shhhh” she shushed, placing a finger on his lips which made him chuckle.
“Anyone would think you both are a couple” Echo spoke.
“Over my dead body” Rihannon and Damien chorused, and Echo began laughing.
“It’s already so tiring to have him as a best friend, so having him as a boyfriend would go overboard” Rihannon said, and Damien rolled eyes.
Tamlin broke the hug with Twilight too, and she was about to talk when they heard a loud shrilling scream outside.
Their eyes widened at once, and Echo quickly checked the time on her wristwatch.
“It’s 12 midnight!” She gasped, and they all rushed into the room, shutting the door loudly behind them.
The next ten minutes was spent telling Damien the story of what Slade did in the woods.
“He planted a GPS on you?” Tamlin stood.
“Yeah. He was babbling about how he needed to keep an eye on his slave” Twilight replied, and Tamlin took her hand.
“I’ll take you downtown tomorrow, we’ll have it removed” he said.
“Really?” Twilight smiled.
“Yeah, should be easy” Tamlin nodded.
“How’s your leg faring?” Rihannon asked Echo.
“It’s not painful anymore” Echo replied.
“And why did you even go to the woods in the first place?” Damien asked.
“I…I went for some fresh air since the room felt stuffy last night” she lied.
“And did Slade really help with the snakebite?” Rihannon asked again.
“Yes, and trust me… he’s not bad like everyone thinks. He’s…
“Stop talking about him” Tamlin cut her off, and Echo recoiled.
“Someone got killed by him again, definitely. The scream we heard says it all” Tamlin muttered.
