“Come here” Tamlin pulled her up.
“I’m for real, there’s a chip!” Twilight insisted.
“I know you’re right, leta just go” he replied, taking her out of the garage after paying the staff.
“I should have known Slade is an @sshole, and he won’t be so easy to tackle. No one will be able to remove it except him” He said.
“What am I gonna do then?” She asked.
“There’s an elixir called Kontrol…mother has it I think. We’ll have to use it on him and hope it works” he replied.
“It better work” she said, sighing out.
“We’ll make sure it does, and I’m so sorry about what Imogen almost did…she’s just spoilt” he apologized.
“I understand, it’s not your fault, Tamlin” she replied, and he smiled brightly, suddenly bringing his face closer to hers.
Twilight’s throat moved as she gulped, and she slowly shut her eyes, leaning in for a kiss too.
Tamlin held her face and was about to kiss her mouth when her phone buzzed in her pocket, interrupting it.
“I should…take that” she said with a smile, and he let go of her face.
“Sure” he said.
It’s Greg calling, and she quickly picked.
“Papa?”
“Whatever he asks, just give it to him” Greg said straight to the point.
“What do you… mean?” She slid her hair behind her ear gently.
“Slade… whatever he wants just give it to him ok?” Greg replied, and she gulped.
“Do you even know what he’s asking? He’s asking for…
“It doesn’t matter, Twilight. This has to do with your lifeline, and I want you to live long. Please, just give him whatever… however he wants it” Greg finalized and hung up.
The phone turned cold on Twilight’s ear, and she almost couldn’t take it away.
“What’s going on?” Tamlin asked beside her.
“Let’s go back to school” she replied, facing him with a slight nod.
“Ok” she grinded his jaws as he brought the car engines to life, driving off.

Grandpa Cedric is currently at the widest balcony with Timothy. He came visiting some minutes ago, and they’re only just settling down.
“So you visited the girl?” Timothy asked as a naud poured their wine into cups.
“Yes. At least, she should taste money before she dies, but is it weird that I pity her? You should have seen how pretty she was” Cedric said, taking his own cup.
“Yeah it’s weird. It’s not your fault that she’s the sacrificial lamb, it’s her father’s fault” Timothy replied.
“Not really. I mean…if your wife Stella didn’t go out and witness the ritual that night, then all these would have been avoidable” Grandpa Cedric pressed.
“And who made the rule that pregnant women aren’t supposed to go out at night?” Timothy said.
“Let’s just hope for the best for your kids, and light for this gloomy future ahead” grandpa Cedric said, and Timothy took his own cup too.
They clinked glasses and drank.

Slade’s class ended just now, and he left the class even before the students began trooping.
Echo smiled when she got out and saw Damien and Rihannon waiting for her already.
“Where’s Twi?” They asked at the same time.
“Oh…she ran off after facing off to Slade earlier in class” Echo replied.
“And here we are, thinking of taking you guys out tonight. There’s a really good bar in town, Damien will pay” Rihannon said.
“I’ll give her a call” Echo quickly said and turned her back on them.
She was about to dial Twilight’s line when Ruslan’s message popped up, and her heart skipped beats.
Ruslan: I’m sorry about earlier, Imogen caught me by surprise.
Echo decided to ignore after reading, then she made to click Twilight’s line again, but he sent another one immediately.
Ruslan: And I’m sorry about the snake bite. I couldn’t meet you that night because Lady Lorraine held me down throughout.
Echo ignored that one too, and when she made to click Twilight’s line again for the third time, another message entered.
Ruslan: Please reply…I love you.
Echo smiled widely immediately, typing a quick reply.
Echo: I love you too. You’re forgiven, but I don’t want Imogen around you anymore.
Ruslan: I promise, and I’ll leave you supplements tonight at the library, shelf 7.
She smiled again.
“Are you dialling Twilight’s line at all? Or should I do it myself?” Rihannon asked behind her.
“I’ll do it!” She quickly replied, finally dialling Twilight’s line.
