INFIRMARY*
Slade and Uriel entered together with plans to search for any odd thing about Dr. Kali’s disappearance, but instantly, Slade felt something.
A dark energy like his own is oozing out of the wall behind him.
He easily entered the wall, and Uriel’s eyes widened, but almost immediately, Slade came out of the wall, holding Elijah’s hair.
He proceeded to the other side of the wall, slamming Elijah on the stones.
“Damn!” Elijah gnarled, releasing himself before punching Slade in the face.
The punch felt like nothing cos Slade elbowed him on the chin and returned the blow to his jaw instinctively.
Elijah made the ground below Slade sink, but Slade jumped over cleanly, pushing Elijah forward with his leg.
Elijah almost fell in, but another person entered the infirmary, pulling him away from the hole edge.
It’s Aimee.
“It’s my first time seeing the cursed triplets together” Uriel smiled.
“Shut up! They were at the verge of destroying this building and you couldn’t stop them?” Aimee scowled.
“Stop them with what? I don’t own a ring so they’d practically tear me apart” Uriel said plainly.
“Do they allow just anyone into the castle these days?” Slade said, obviously ridiculing Aimee and Elijah.
“Oh brother, with this ring, we can enter anywhere. Making the doormen open the gate was a piece of cake” Elijah said.
“I’d prefer if you don’t talk to me throughout your limited stay here” Slade replied harshly.
“Elijah is not your rival, he has no plans to kill your moonslave” Aimee said.
“You believe this mongrel? His special ability is telling lies” Slade glared poisonously, his eyes beaming.
“If I wanted to kill your moonslave, I wouldn’t save her when Lorraine tried to hang her at the fortress one month ago” Elijah said, and Slade raised his lids.
“You said last night was your first time in town after you left at age 5” Aimee said.
“That was a lie, I’ve been in town since the beginning of this year” Elijah replied.
“Lies is your livelihood, i’d rather go back to the island than believe any word that comes out of your fuçking mouth” Slade sneered.
“Elijah is not the rival, the real rival is someone else we don’t know.” Aimee said.
“Why the hell are you here?” Slade directed the question at Elijah.
“Dr. Kali is dead, and the school will be needing a new doctor, I’m here to fill in” Elijah said freely.
“When did you become an herbal doctor?” Aimee asked.
“I’ve been learning one or two, and I’ve got connections with Lord Vann” Elijah replied gleefully.
“And how did you know Dr. Kali is dead?” Slade turned.
“C’mon brother… You don’t feel the vibes of sorrow in here?” Elijah shrugged.
Before Slade could speak, they heard screams from students outside, and they all rushed out.
“Fûck!” Uriel voiced.
Dr. Kali’s body has been found, but she’s dead. Her legs got condemned completely by the car.
She died horribly, and as her body was brought inside, students began crying.
* They said it’s an accident.
* Accident? How did it happen?
* Oh… Dr. Kali…
* This is so sad!!!
Lord Vann and Lorraine couldn’t even close their mouths as they watched.
“That’s gory” Elijah smiled.
“Extraordinarily” Aimee added.
Slade choose to keep quiet, but then eyes caught Twilight who’s crying so much in the middle of students.
She obviously got the biggest hit cos this is the second person she’d be losing since she came to this school.
First was Tanya, and now Dr. Kali.
She suddenly rushed out of the crowd, and Slade followed.
He trailed her quietly till she entered the first garden and squatted under a peach tree, crying.
Slade stood at the garden entrance, watching her emotionlessly.
Her tears are pouring profusely, and her nose is even running.
Although, Slade’s eyes held no pity, but something feels odd.
Tears excite him__seeing people cry in sorrow and pains make his inner demons happy.
He should be feeling the inner joy by now. He should be wanting to do things to make her cry more, but why is he wanting to console her?
Everything inside him right now wants to go give her a hug.
He began walking to her, slowly and calculatedly, but after he took the fifth step, he felt a sudden slam on his chest, making him stop.
His jaw ticked, he brought a palm to his chest to check.
The slam came again, and his eyes shone furiously as he felt the beat.
His heart__his bîtchy frozen heart.
That motherfûcker is beating for the first time since he was born.
How dare it?
