The kiss continued for a while, but the Emperor soon broke it pulling away from her, turning his back on Jade who faced the other side shyly also.
‘What just happened?’. The Emperor asked in his head.
“I’ll-ask for something else next time”. Jade muttered her fingers reaching her lips.
“There won’t be a next time. Just go”. The Emperor replied in a harse voice pointing at the door, his back still turned on her and Jade blinked bowing in a confused manner before running out of the chamber and immediately the Emperor turned, his eyes filled with confusion.
“I could swear i saw sparks”. The Emperor muttered and then with his hands behind his back, he began pacing restlessly in the chamber.
He hadn’t paced around more than twice when the kiss replayed in his head and he stopped on his track instantly, with widened eyes.
“Don’t tell me my head will be crowded with this thought all night”. The Emperor muttered in astonishment.
Then his right hand suddenly began finding its way to his lips and he tried using his left hand to fight the urge, but all to no avail as his fingers finally found his lips, but he soon dropped his hand, waving the thought off his head.
“No wonder she’s so slow in learning how can her lips be that soft”. The Emperor suddenly scoffed walking back to his desk when Jade bardged into his room again.
“I just overheard from some girls, that tomorrow’s competiton is all about hunting in the forbidden forest!! I have no such skill and need Kai to replace urgently”. Jade said running to sit beside the Emperor who glanced at her in daze.
“What?-oh I’ll go shut the door”. Jade said before the Emperor could reply, she ran to shut the door ad sat right next to him again giving him a rasied eyebrow.
‘How dare she act like nothing didn’t just happen between us?’. The Emperor scoffed in his head looking away, but Jade pat his arm and he threw her a sharp look.
“Did-i do anything to annoy you? Or is it cause of what happened earlier? Don’t worry what i wanted to check didn’t happen so be calm”. Jade smiled.
“What did you wanted to check?”. The Emperor ask and Jade starred at the scroll in front of him, not understanding a single word.
“I told you I heard some girls talking about mutuality, they said after the kiss I’ll feel butterflies In my tummy”. Jade said picking up the scroll to look at.
“What did you feel?”. The Emperor found himself asking and tightened his fists disappointed at his himself, but he wouldn’t deny he still anticipated her reply.
“Hunger. I was so hungry but I’ve drank wine and I’m okay for now!”. Jade replied and the Emperor frowned instantly.
“Why do you joke with everything?”. The Emperor asked and Jade blinked at him in puzzlement.
“I’m not joking I really felt hungry! Though I was hungry before we–
“Just shut up”. Emperor Damien said getting up and adjusting his robe.
“Are you going somewhere?”. Jade asked and the Emperor nodded.
“You said tomorrow’s contest is all about hunting,”. Emperor Damien said walking out of the door and Jade dropped the scroll with her before running along with him.
“Kai can just help me with it”. Jade said going after the Emperor.

Asa left the training ground, walking back to her room she met Kai on his way to the Emperor’s study and they both almost walked passed each other before she stopped on her track.
“What does the Emperor likes?”. Asa suddenly asked and Kai stopped on his track a frown forming on his face, then Asa began walking to him.
“I was just wandering what if I become the next Empress? I don’t know what my future husband….
“Just forget it! The Emperor has someone he likes already!! And don’t stop me to ask me this again!”. Kai suddenly snapped startling her then realizing his actions his eyes widened.
“Stupid me”. Kai muttered to himself before ignoring Asa and walking out of the place.
“What’s with the outburst?”. Asa scoffed before walking away.
